Enjoy seeing all the things I've painted and everything I have yet to paint in this recap video. In my first year of painting I managed to complete over 20 models, but somehow accumulated over 200 in my pile of shame. Ah well. It'll be fun to see how it evolves for next year! I'll probably have even more models needing to be painted. Such is life. Music: Half Mystery by Kevin MacLeod Link: inco...

Unboxing, Shrine of the Kobold Queen and Lair of the Red Dragon! Awesome Miniatures for D&D
zhlédnutí 121Před 3 lety
Join me to unbox two amazing sets from Epic Encounters, Shrine of the Kobold Queen and Lair of the Red Dragon. These boxes are chalk full of beautiful miniatures and the video itself is full of fun noises.
Thanks for the video.i am currently printing tiamat at 200% scale and looking at ideas with each head color.i like your paint scheme for the white head.
200% scale sounds huge! You could also think about picking color based on what heads surround the white one since white reflects color really well. Good luck!
@khaarmakrafts7503 it's massive.all I need to print now is the tail and wings.now I got concerns about the body being able to support the wings.i estimate the wings will be 3' wide.
@@arcort669 Excuse me, is that feet? 😱 Incredible! Have you watched Midwinter Mini's Warlord Titan assembly videos? Those might have some ideas for how to keep such a large "mini" together.
Can you share the template file?
This is exactly what I was trying to do! Im AuDHD and I don't play DnD but I do make figurines. I want to make figures of characters from my stories. What do you color with when you color them by hand? I don't have an inkjet printer.
I've used sharpie pens for outlines and colored pencil for the body. If drawing on both sides make sure to hit the smooth side with sandpaper to give it a bit of surface for the medium to hang on to! I've also seen people use paint markers and pastels though I haven't tried those myself yet.
I was hoping the model was screwed in under the circles from the base! Oh well, at least I know I can drill it without destroying it. Also, is it just me or the video's resolution make it feel soothingly retro?
This was really helpful, can’t wait to paint mine!
Wow, this is fantastic!
Nice. All the fun of assembling an painting a miniature, but cheaper and more flexible.
Hello wickedly done
Quite nice result - but white it is not...
This is such a great concept! I am going to do this with my kids this weekend as a craft. Ages 11, 9, and 7. This video needs more recognition.
Amazing! I bet they'll have a lot of fun making their own creative creatures to assemble.
I'm just starting to THINK about painting. It seems like a monumental task. Your videos are helping me so much. The tone of your voice, the music, and the words you use are all very soothing. I found this paint to be incredible. You've done an enormous amount of work on this dragon, and it's a triumph! You should be proud. You've got yourself another subscriber. Here's hoping that you're still planning to post more content.
This is such a kind comment! Thank you so much! I will continue making videos, though not often I'm afraid.
Do you have the Fire Brand Kolbolt box as well, would love to see what you do with that.
I'm finally painting that one right now, but I'm attempting a more easy for good results method since there's just so many models. Except the Kobold Queen. I'm gonna give her the full treatment.
Thanks so much for this video! Got this guy today and the wings were making me despair:)
So glad it was helpful! On my own quest to put the dang thing together I'd seen quite a few... ill advised (stabby) methods of working with it and wanted to find a safer way.
@@khaarmakrafts7503 It worked perfectly! Just dipped the stud in hot water for thirty seconds and in it popped.:)
this was amazing to watch, and while I'll never do more than a front and back (and probably commission an artist to do them) it has opened up a new world of what I can do with minis
Always helpful to have more options and ideas if you do choose to tackle some minis! The single layer ones are nice too.
Great Job
Wonderful building!
I had to subscribe. You're the only person I've seen do this with shrink film. It's what I plan on doing for my game.
Thank you! I might've really only showcased character minis, but with a bit of planning I'm sure you can make some insane creatures too.
I made my Dungeons and Dragons miniatures from sheinky dinks way in the past, but only singe layer. This idea was so cool. I hand draw everything, though, so it would be rather time-consuming.
You are not wrong, though both digital and hand drawn take a bit o' time. Tracing is your friend in such a project!
Having the links to other videos show up and cover the final reveals rerally detracts from the work.
Thank you for the advice. I'll try a different format for the next video I make.
Experimented with this in the past but had no idea about how to properly size things! Thank you for the template!!!
You will still need to experiment a bit with cook time and temp as the sizes sometimes need different settings, espessially Huge, but it's a really good start. I hope to see what you create!
Wow, these are cool! You did a great job!
Thank you! Took a lot of experimentation I hope to help others skip over.
Looks amazing!
Great video and the finished diorama looks amazing! ❤️
Great build. Best of luck with your channel. I really enjoyed seeing the kitty.. made me smile. Thanks again.
Shes a defiant little helper 💙
Nice, I'd like to see it in the dark with candle lighting, to really see it shine
looks really great! very spooky!:)
An awesome gothic diorama! Love it!
Wow! This looks awesome. I'm also just starting out, so it's really nice to have a tutorial with basic tools. Thanks for making this!
You're welcome! I love to here this video is helping you out. Crafting can look really daunting, but I don't want it to be.
Just stumbled on to your channel... you did a great job for a 100th time at this kind of build, let alone your first! Hope your channel gets as big as you want!
Thank you! I hope to build many more nifty things in the future. Maybe even a full building, not just a landing, heh.
Beautiful Work.
So cool! Love it!
Hello from the UK. Great job, looks fantastic. 👍
Fantastic job 🧛♂️
4:50, no bandaid, 4:55, bandaid. 5:05, cautionary note. Full points for the reality party. This is a wonderful build. Thank you for posting.
Don't make my mistake lol
Turned out really nice, well done. I actually thought that you were gong to loose some of your magnetism when you kept putting stuff over the magnets. Happens to me all the time, lol
I did end up losing some, but luckily not enough to cause issues! Probably will happen on a future project, haha
For roof when using foam board try cutting or sanding the edges at an angle and glue together works for me wonderful job on the build
would also make a great book nook
Hello from UK , liked your diorama and your cat to .
Thank you! She is insistent on being helpful.
Wonderful unboxing. Thanks for sharing ☺️
Beautiful work 😍😻
great job , keep it up
Loved this...and subscribed...
hello
Good job! I like the way you made the figures removable so they could still be used in gaming, but during their "off time" may sit on your shelf as display pieces.
I love multiuse work. Makes my job harder, but worth it! :)
An excellent job on Kritza! He looks every bit the vampire lord, and your diorama base in your companion video is a great way to display your completed figure.
He's too dynamic of a figure not to have a full story to tell.
Excellent work! It really is amazing what may be done with inexpensive (or even discarded) materials backed up with plenty of imagination. Please keep up the good work! Subscribed.
Thank you! It's really satisfying turning simple stuff into nifty things.
Great job! I used to make a lot of Warhammer terrain from Pringles tubes and straws.
I have both those things stockpiled!
I really like what you've done here. I've been thinking about some kind of pearl effect for a white dragon. Great video.
It's a really fun way to paint white. Lemme know if you try it out for your own dragon!
I love the idea of being able to take the figure out of the diorama so that you could use it again later if the need arises! This looks fantastic. Have you considered a bit of white on the ripples to make them stand out a bit? I've also never heard of a *craft supply thrift store* and that's amazing, and I'm disappointed there aren't any where I am.
It's mostly full of fabric straps and odd old cross stitch patterns which are fun in themselves, but sometimes they have glitters and powder pigments which is more my thing! Very fun but I only know of one so I think it's a rare concept. As for the white I didn't really consider it because it's not much of an effect for swamp water, but he was falling in which causes more of a disturbance... I'll for sure make an update if I figure it out.
I LOVE dioramas that have removable characters so you can still use them! AND a great use of a “failed” print!
Absolutely! A diorama is great. A diorama you can still use for a game is better.
