A Day on the Laona & Northern 4K 40MBits
The "4 Spot" makes another run on the Laona & Northern from Camp 5 to Laona. #4 was built in 1916 and came to Laona in 1926 where she switched and hauled primarily logs and lumber. Into the 1970s she continued in service powering a mixed train to Laona Junction to connect with the Soo Line. Today #4 operates during the summer to transport patrons to the old logging days of Wisconsin at Camp 5. This program was recorded on October 1, 2022 and June 19-20, 2023 with a Mavic Pro 2 and Panasonic AG-UX180 in 4K at 30fps, dLog, H.265. Program encoded at 40Mbits.

If you come to Santa Cruz, CA, there are still two wig-wags in use on a private rail line that goes from Big Basin to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.
This railroad will now be just like SEPTA REGIONAL ELECTRIC RAIL MAINLINES in PHILADELPHIA.
Now to see any trolleys running in the streets you have to go to NEW ORLEANS LA. or SAN FRANCISCO. ALSO PHILADELPHIA.

Masterful. Thank you, Paul. Beautifully filmed and soundtracked. So tragic to see the swan-song of such an historic interurban, soon to become "just another electric railroad". I had the pleasure of seeing and riding this street track in 2016 and 2019, and went back a few weeks ago to see the double-tracking being done. Instead of being a vibrant street where inhabitants could freely roam between cars and infrequent trains, the whole community is now going to be cut in half by a segregated railroad.

Very good video! What kind of camera(s) did you use? The low light shots in particular were exceptional quality!
Drone was a Mavic Pro. A few shots were hand-held using the drone. "Land camera" was a Panasonic AG-UX180. A few more shots were contributed by friends using i-phones.
I wonder whom at the FRA demanded the great 2020 witch hunt on wig wags. Every class one railroad removed them all by 2021.
