How I reconstructed the SR-71 Blackbird (in-depth research, 3D modelling, animation, and more)
The process for making my artwork has become quite involved, and it's my pleasure to share it with you. At 55 mins., the original SR-71 cutaway explainer video is my longest, most involved work yet!

I have a question. What’s the name of this submarine is it a u boat?
Homework: no Minecraft/fortnike: no Shorts/Tiktok: no F1 working: 🗿👌
❤ Nice ❤ very nice information 🥰
I learned things and stuff. I didn't know there was so many different types tbh. I am curious tho. Do you guys have a video on anti lag turbos tho? I noticed that wasn't covered on this video
Freakin Awesome!!!!
why this information is declassified is beyond me. I thoroughly enjoyed it though. Doesn't this give our enemies too much information?
and yet russia knew everytime we were up there
Please make a video on B2 spirit. Please please please.
This is an amazing video. So much more than the usual click bait that barely scratch the surface of things. Thank you!
Ok if a super charger and turbo isnt enough there a twin turbo..
Would trade 100 of them for 1 x15.
dude two explanations at 6 minutes. And it makes sense?! “s p e e c h l e s s “
Ok this video is about “AIR” so yep. idk
Please sir one video on helicopter of control systems 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤ please
heheh im here because of funny frog man on my summer car
Why do the tails have the 5th recon squadron "Blackcats" symbol on them? As far as I am aware, The Blackcats never used/flew the SR-71, but used the U-2 Dragonlady. That's a huge historical inaccuracy. The 5th's parent organization, the 9th recon wing, however, did fly the SR-71's. But that specific Blackcat symbol is specific to the 5th recon squadron only. Source: Former 5th RS "Blackcat"
There's a "Technical Addendum" comment floating somewhere in this comment section with the very correction you mention. That kind of detail is much appreciated though, and I like having folks on the channel with that much depth of knowledge.
Thanks to engineering
Impressionante!!!
1966…. Imagine what the US has today which we’ll never hear about for at least a few decades
Love it. What with solar power being a huge factor in renewable energy, it's really feels relevant to anybody on this planet. I would love for every school to show this to their students ... and to fund you, of course!
Amazing video, just win my subs 👍 Greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹
Love your videos, man. I’ve watched them all several times. If you’re really looking for ideas about what to do next, here are some I would love to see: The Space Shuttle The Saturn V Rocket The A-10 Warthog Any helicopter Good luck topping this video on the Blackbird, though. What incredible work!
Thanks
How long did it take to make one of these boats, and at what cost in today's money?
The SR 71 presentation was the first I have seen and it was amazing. Thanks for making this and others. With all the mass produced low quality like seeking cheese out there Animagraffs is a rarity.
OK One comment as I watch & I’ll shut it & finish the video; HOW TF did you find out stuff like the engines are tilted down + the aircraft sits at 6 degrees during flight?? 🤯 Mind melting….this is amazing…. Thanks so much for making this video. I’m off to binge the entirety of your channel now…😂😂
OMFG I just discovered your channel via this SR71 video. As soon as I saw the rest of your videos I hit that subscribe button faster than an SR71! Oh man… another rabbit hole I didn’t know I needed… and don’t have time for…LOL…..
What great animation
This is amazing! It's not just the information, it's how easy you make it to comprehend it all. I love seeing the structure of the ship right from scratch to all the details and rooms. Thank you so much for producing these! I love old Hornblower movies, stories like Master & Commader and learning about the arctic expeditions of the 19th century, and of course it helps a lot to understand the working of these ships. I've always been amazed by all the work and resources that went into building these ships, and also by the weird human tendency to build something as impressive as this, and then to go and use it, of course, to blow each other up. Thank you so much for producing something that's fascinating and informative (and also very unlikely to be used to blow somebody up). 🙂😉
My grandfather retired as roundhouse foreman from Missouri Pacific's Shops in North Little Rock Arkansas about 1959(I was 9yo) He used to take me into the Shops and let me climb up into the engines and blow the horn...loudest noise I've ever heard was those horns inside a brick roundhouse. My dad and his brother started working there at 14yo & 12yo as messenger boys(the intercom system of the day. Dad died at 54yo with 40yrs seniority in the brake shop (with twice the seniority of his foreman).
My biggest question is..How did 700 people on such small area keep their hygiene(at least the very least amounts necessary for not drowning each other in stink and bacteria)?
Anyone else here at 2 am just trying to sleep but instead find themselves too invested in this unnecessarily awesome information
Thank you for such a quality content
I'm still wondering where people slept? They showed like 15 beds
It would be great if someone could design a battleship using only the tools and technology of the 18th century but with a modern understanding of design. So still wind propulsion but not necessarily a square sailed ship and wood based. How different would a battleship be, or did they achieve the most they could with the technology available?
Looking at this, it's no wonder that so much money was required to operate one ship of the line, much less several. Procurement must have been a nightmare.
As a designer, I would want some kind of redundancy for the control mixer, if that is even possible. It that unit malfunctions, the plane is done.
Outstanding research and video production.
Imagine the cost today to replicate this entire vessel, but automating as much as possible so as to have a minimum number of crew? Picture sailing this ship with perhaps five or fewer people and the captain running just about everything from a screen and keyboard. That's what I want for Christmas! ;-)
amazing video! Thank you!
With Human ingenuity at an all time low, it really does my soul some good to see someone create such a wildly beautiful and informative video and all for free of charge. You have the younger generations each sitting on the shoulders of giants, and while doing so are seemingly trying to poison the giants they all rest upon so that the world that was uplifted for them comes crashing down. I swear it seems they just want to burn it all down, just so they can complain about it all being burned down. Its people like you that help tilt the scales back from entering my own personal oblivion. All I can hope for is that you continue to create great works like this , and if its not to presumptuous I would hope this would be what you intend to do for a living if you don't already. I will admit there is a fair bit of selfishness in that request, but I can whole heartedly say that I need this. Thanks for all you do, and for all I hope you will do in the future.
I agree about the difficulty of finding quality things in the world. Seems like it may have always been this way -- that "the good stuff" takes a little more work to get, where the cheap, loud, free stuff is plastered everywhere. My goal is to never be cheap, flimsy, or a knockoff. But rather, the real deal. And yes, this is my full-time job for the last couple years and the foreseeable future!
My great uncle was a Helmsman on the first crew of theU.S.S. Balao the flagship of that class he’s saw quite a bit of action in the Pacific becoming highly decorated was transferred to I believe tow other ships and served in Korea in the same class submarine as well. And yes, the boat he was on is the one they use for the old film operation Petticoat !never asked him how he felt about them, painting it pink.🤣
Thank you❤
Where does that pressured air go?
Are we forgetting Communications ( COMS); To get this Hulk rolling... Just how did The Admiral from the Top Down conduct ,and Dispense orders? Really Amazing Graphics ...cant begin to Decipher how you Achieved Such Detail ? Will SuBscribe to your Channel.. Any Chance of Embellishing this Video with the "PECKING ORDER IN THE LINE of COMMAND? ⚜️🔱✍️🌟⚓⚓⚓🌍🔩
amazing detailing, very complicated, respect to the engineers who developed this submarine
I love the escapement ticking in time with the music at 5:05
Very well done! I’m off to grab the first Aubrey maturin novel, time for a recap.
Brilliant. Love it, thank you.
Superchargers can also have intercoolers - I had a 1988 Toyota MR2 that had a supercharger and an intercooler. It also got excellent mileage.
