NCM Motorsports Park touring laps in a 2019 Kia Stinger GT2 AWD (no dialog; blooper at the end)
In-car footage of touring laps at the NCM Motorsports Park in my 2019 Kia Stinger GT2 AWD. The car is 100% bone stock with Westlake SA-07 high performance all-season tires and OEM rotors and pads. I did notice after the session that the brake pedal felt spongy (as noted in the blooper at the end), however I was braking quite hard at the end of the main straight each time. Not quite to the point of engaging ABS, but not far from it. Needless to say, I could certainly smell them when entering turns 1A and 1B. I definitely overcooked it a few times, particularly in turns 2, 6, and 17 (Rockhouse). Not the car's fault. A lack of experience is to blame, although I am impressed with the car's overall performance and feel. The best lap time I was able to achieve (from what I can tell based on the footage) was 2:42.7 with a lot left on the table. To put it into perspective that’s 40 seconds slower than the current unmodified record holder (a McLaren Senna driven by Andy Pilgrim). With some proper summer tires and a lot of practice my times can certainly be improved upon (by at least 5-10 seconds just as an uneducated guess). To be as practical as it is, however, it does pretty well for itself on track. I hope to return with it soon.

1980 Ford Fairmont 3.3L inline-6 walkaround

Here's a walkaround of my grandparents' 1980 Ford Fairmont. This particular car is a base model which is equipped with the 3.3L "Thriftpower Six" inline-6 engine (which produces a blistering 91hp and 160 lb-ft of torque) and a 3-speed automatic transmission. I had the honors of prepping it for a parade and car show and I really wish I had done before and after videos because the results were st...

One Saturday morning I decided to get up early and take a lot of pictures (and a few short video clips) of the Firehawk with the beautiful sunrise (among other scenery) in the background. That was one of the best days I've ever experienced. I've found one running and driving good for $600! Hoping it's still their when I get paid
c5 got big tunning potential and nice car
How can it fascinate me so much? I love it.
I liked the predecessor Maverick better but the Fairmont was a good car too.
Are these reliable vehicles?
Cool. I just came up on one too. some old people mist have owned it because its pretty immaculate, other than some fading paint on the trunk. Even blows cold A/C. Ill be looking to sell it soon.
Is it for sale?
This 200ci engine is unkillable. It’s very smooth also, and has plenty of torque.
I like the black steelies with no hubcaps. I'd proudly drive her!
That brings back memories. My first car was a cherry red '81 Fairmont. The steering wheel hub pops off. good place3 to hide money lol.
Very nice! That would be a good spot lol. I never thought of that.
Nice car
Thanks man
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The horn button is on the turn signal stalk. Not one of FORD'S better ideas.
It’s definitely a weird placement for it. Thankfully I haven’t needed to use it yet, but I do wonder if I’ll remember it’s there if I ever do.
👌
The o.g. Fox Body
I had exactly this one but in brown color
Awesome!
My friend just got one of these, any tips?
I actually just now got this one too. My grandparents recently gave it to me. It needs A LOT of work. I'm still trying to learn about them myself so unfortunately I don't have any tips just yet.
Amazing car
How much did you get it for?
I ended up getting it for $2,000 with 141,000 miles on it.
Ditch that engine cover. Traps a lot of heat. Nice ride. 👍
They do tend to hold in quite a bit of heat I agree
2:56 excuse me.
Back in the early 90s my grandma had one. Love to find me one
this is crazy! My grandparents had one just like yours! the sun bleached it so it was a brighter red. That's awesome!
Coming from your spot on Kilmer’s video; Where is the best source for what the wu6 package added, and the 10th anniversary additions in 02? Always preferred the less pronounced ‘nostrils’ of the firehawk, haven’t looked into them in 15+ years, but getting the itchy fingers to pick up a trans am and just want as much information as possible, and google isn’t always your friend ;) Going to go through your videos in a bit as well. Nice car, always loved the exterior styling of the 98-02 T/A.
Kuro Murasaki Thanks man. There’s some information about what modifications were made each year they were made at firehawk.org/header/1022.html. They actually changed quite a bit from year to year; always improving all the way until the end. I’ve heard the Firehawk hoods actually flow better than the WS6 hoods, too. I’d definitely recommend going the ‘Hawk route if you get one. They’re a joy to drive!
What do you clean your leather with?
Snowman3g Typically I’ll use Lexol Leather Cleaner and then Lexol Leather Conditioner afterward. They both seem to work really well.
padawan363 thanks your leather looks brand new beside the front seat lol but that Normal my isn’t ripped yet but it’s full of wrinkles But still the rest looks new or steam cleaned
I have some 10th anniversary firehawk wheels for sale if you are interested. Oem.
JOE MOMMA I wish I had the extra money or I’d probably have to hit you up on them. Thanks for the offer though.
I've always liked the silver over gray two tone am repairing my regal not sure if I want to keep the pearl white or go with a silver paint clean ride!
Scr3whead_louie2004GS Vic Thanks man! You can’t really go wrong with either color.
Very clean! I have brakes and greasable sway bar bushings if you want to upgrade in the future - pic on Instagram with part numbers @hyperxprojects
HyperXprojects Thanks man. Yeah I think I remember you asking me that on Instagram now.
That is a seriously clean gs.
Salem Doyle Thanks man
Not going to lie, but it looks wayyyyyy better than my 1997 toyota corolla, other than that, awesome pick for a daily driver! Gl man
MrHeadpunch Thanks man
Sounds great Camaro brother
Camaro Rick Thanks man
Very cool! Once the summer comes you should do some more like this one. Love the sound of it
alicia steven Thanks! I’d definitely like to do more like this.
First! Got to love the empty open back roads!
Definitely! I'm pretty much surrounded by them, too.
Really nice car I own a 2000 firebird v6 however one day I will want to own a trans am !
It’s certainly a big upgrade. I went from a ‘99 V6 with 1 option installed (the automatic transmission) to this. This one has all but 1 option installed (traction control). Like the seats are even completely different (in a good way). They were two different animals.
Badass !! Wow!
Shout out to Scotty Kilmer
First! LOL Cool Night shots!
Thanks man
What state is that?
New york Redneck845 This is a tunnel spanning between Middlesbrough, KY and Tennessee.
Sounds good! Feel free to check out my channel if interested, I have some videos up of my 350Z as well as other car stuff!
I've heard that it won't be as raspy at the high rpms with the stock cat. I think I'm gonna try the 80's series on my 6er
