Hammerjacks was the best place in the Baltimore area for concerts after Painters Mill was gone. I would trade the Ravens for having Hammerjacks back any day.

I was stationed 84/85 in PAX River just a hour or so drive from DC. I listened to the Grease Man every more going to work and laughed my butt off. Love the stories he made up!

My first introduction to the Greaseman was in Florida on WAPE. My dad used to listen to him and told me as a young kid. Then later I moved to DC and found him again on DC101 (The BIG STICK) I tell you radio in those days was absolute gold. They played cat and mouse with the FCC. It was a time we will never get back. I used to laugh so hard I would almost run off the road. I had to pull over a few times. Man I miss you Jonny Bulky.

I remember seeing him on Larry King along with Scott Shannon of Z-100. Grease brought his personality with him. Shannon barely said two words.
