25년전, 해외에서 공부하던중, 어느날 길을 지나는데 어디선가 이 노래가 아련히 들렸지, 처음 들은 이 노래는 무엇인가 나의 가슴을 뭉클하게 만들었고 그 아름답고 애절한 음률에 가던길을 멈추고 끝까지 듣고 서있었지, 노래가 끝나고나서 소리의 근원을 찿다가 어느 일본인 가게에서 들려준걸 알고 노래제목을 묻고나서 당장 CD를 3장 사서 열심히 들었고, 가사를 외우기 위해 일본어를 공부하면서 노래의 내용과 의미을 알고 눈물을 흘린 기억이 나네요.
I performed it years ago.I only have bad memories of it .It was a very sad period for me.I felt...I did not really belong in the choir.I left it for 1 year+ due to bullying and thought I'll never return to it. I was forced to return as I would lose my points otherwise. I spent 4 years being in despair. This song is the only song I learnt by heart out of my many years there.
A beautiful sad song. Tears in my eyes when I first listened to this song without understanding a single word. After I got the meaning, I like it more, especially the sugar cane part.
