10 hellblasters and 6 aggressors from GW = £98. Very very similar 16 models from 3d printers = £38. Why would i spend £98 when i could buy 32 models and have £20 left over. Only thing im losing is the kit bashing "extras". Although the 3d print models do come with a few extra bits for customisation and or i can buy bits and still ne saving money. Basilly 3d printing tends to be half to a third of the price. And GW fan boys still giving it because thats how mich it has to be....no! No it fkin dosnt.

What are Blackstone Fortress' "major design flaws"? Minor flaws maybe (like all games), but it has no major ones. I count BSF among GW's finest releases ever. The core box alone is a great gameplay experience. PS: Agreed KT's new solo/coop mode is the biggest part of this announcement! I'm excited about it. PPS: Agreed solo/coop is nothing new, I own and like most of the indie games you mentioned at the end. GW is lagging behind here. But still... they took a step in the right direction!

This is the first time I'm really puzzled by your critique, Discourse. I have to say I find some of what you say contradictory even (like "these are Scions with new poses" and "these look like copy & paste" -- they cannot be both!). Or saying it's cool that it has proper Hive terrain, then dismissing the terrain because "it's nothing new" -- it's old for somebody already playing KT maybe, but it's great as an introductory box. Not everyone *already has* this terrain. Then you seem to single out the inches-instead-of-shapes as a big deal (which admittedly, the shapes were an annoyance) but that's merely an errata, whereas the solo/coop rules are way more interesting and maybe a first for GW? Even if they are lagging behind the indie industry here, they took the right step. Finally, what's with the obsession with Elysian Drop Troops? I've seen this complaint more than once, but they just look like generic garbage in every photo and artwork I've seen. Aren't they some niche Forgeworld product that few people owned, basically Cadians with cut & pasted jetpacks? (Someone online even claims Elysians are a regular army, while Scions are elite/commandos -- which would make the latter more suited for KT!). The Scions look way more visually interesting. It just seems like complaining for the sake of complaining. Also, lots of people were clamoring for more Scions; if GW had given them Elysians I bet good Imperial credits you'd be saying they should have gone with Tempestus ;) I like your videos Discourse, but I think you're wrong here. GW did a good thing with Nü-KT here, and it doesn't hurt if we say so for once. Don't worry, they'll be back to their Evil Antics soon enough, for all of us to complain about. But this ain't it.

Sometimes I feel like a crazy person when people complain about Kill Team '21 focusing on one-box teams with no list-building. That's *exactly* why I play it. I got out of 40k years ago when I realized it would be cheaper to throw my entire collection in the trash and buy into a different game than to finish my halfway complete army. Kill Team got me back specifically because I don't need to constantly add more models or already have a huge existing collection to have a good time.

As someone who played alot of killteam 2. We want mostly the same. We've been asking for the warcry treatment since that came out, on like all the socials.

The faces on these minis are awful. Maybe it's just the paint job or maybe they really are that bad. Idk. All the more reason to keep your helmet on.

Difference between BattleTech and 40K can be summed up very simply. Figures I bought 40 years ago are still playable, same with rules, maps, and reference materials. 40 K stuff more than 5 years old is no longer allowed a lot of times. Also, the rules for the most part have not changed at all. Last a box set for under $60 US is all you ever need to play as most games are 4 per side and you start with 8. I walked away from 40K after 3rd edition, I still play Tech and even have found a group of younger gentleman at the hobby store who are getting in to it.

The cardboard terrain from 40k 2nd edition and 1st edition Necromunda was perfect for a starter box. Wish they'd go back to that.
