    The Mini MLC makes very little sense to me. It is just not as good to carry as a backpack as many many many other 30l backpacks on the market and then it is not as useful for air travel as its bigger brother. If you need a bag for carry on just get the bigger one.

      It’s difficulty to say what “cause” it, whether that was extended use or too heavy of a load. I probably had up to 25lbs in it at the max, but not for very long. But I used it every day for several months, so both probably contributed. Sorry I can’t provide a more exact answer

    Took a deep breath on the price-hike due to shipping costs to the UK and purchased a Bandit in Military Green, along with the optional hip belt and a couple of small pouches for handy storage. Really nice little back with a very good carry due to its backplate and the thick padded bars on the back. I always look for adjustability in the back length as one size definitely does not fit all when it comes to packs. I like the velcro strap tidies and have applied some of my own devising to the shoulder straps (surprised there aren't any on those) and I like the internal organisation too. I'd prefer regular molle and some on the front panel in addition to the laser cut stuff on the beavertail. I do think the beavertail needs to be removable as it's a tad flimsy for attaching pouches to and inhibits attachment of side pouches. Still, overall the Bandit is a handy little pack and it's straight away become my EDC bag.

    • @SJA-Reviews

      The side compressions strings do work well, but depending on what you're carrying, the contents may settle at the bottom of the bag, making a bulge at your lower back, and the compression strings can't really help with that. Hope this helps!

    Hi! Thanks for this review, well made and professionally presented. You mention you went bikepacking wearing this vest. I'd like to ask you, do you think it's possible to mount a small camera (Fuji xt30) on a shoulder strap via a Peak design clip? I usually wear the camera on my shoulders when I travel and I never bring a backpack while bikepacking but since next summer I'll be traveling in Iceland on my gravel bike I'm considering purchasing a vest/backpack to store some heavy stuff to lighten the bike while river crossing, to stash waterproofs for quick access and to take extra clothing for the occasional hike. Do you think the backpack you presented would work for me? Cheers from Finland

      @SJA-Reviews Před 5 měsíci

      I just tried out the Peak clip with my Sony s6400 and a medium sized lens. The Peak clip does fit the shoulder strap, but with how thin the straps are, expect the balance of the pack to be thrown off a bit and for the camera to bounce/swing if you're moving at any decent pace. Hope this helps!

    I have this bag and use it every day. I agree that it is a super solid bag; you can feel the quality as soon as you get your hands on it. I have Goruck GR 1 and a couple of Eberstocks, but this is my go-to bag. It looks more like an Osprey than a tactical bag, even if it's a tactical bag. The only downer for me is that it does not have waterproof zippers. It should be standard on the HD when they have a waterproof liner. You forgot to mention the waist belt btw.
