I started both a paper trading account and a live account, both with 100$. ive been placing orders on my paper trading account with the same measures I do on my live account and profit. however when I trade on my live account with the same amount of money it cancels and or rejects my order. does anyone know why?

Wow. I like checking videos on trading, but had never checked one directed to new traders. My first reaction is that this is a genuine guy who is sincerely offering some guidelines to newbies. It's been so long for me, but thinking back, I probably made every mistake in the book. But now it is decades later. I've made untold tens of thousands of trades, and feel by now that I pretty much have arrived at good methods that work well for me, outstandingly well, if I must say so. Would anyone take advice from the school of hard knocks and from a multi-millionaire? Yes, I know, many trolls immediately think it is impossible for anyone by that description would ever "stoop" to commenting on youtube. Well, I happen to enjoy youtube for a good number of things. Anyway, I devoted much of my life to not taking no for an answer, to keep learning everything possible about trading. I probably have read over 700 books about trading, including many on writing code for automated "systems", which in my view I succeeded wildly at. However, that is not really how I arrived at making the "big bucks" in trading. I did it over time, by trying everything and finding what works and what doesn't. Of course, I could write whole books and sell whole trading courses, but at this point I have little financial incentive to do so. Still, the idea crosses my mind because I know how difficult things are for new traders. I have attended my share of useful seminars, and met and in some cases worked with some of the knowledgeable luminaries in this field: such names as Steve Nison (Japanese candlesticks), Linda Raschke (brilliant lifetime trader), George Lane (inventor of Stochastics indicator), John Murphy (father of technical analysis), Cornelius Luca (wrote "the book" on foreign exchange), Jack Schwager (prolific author, having interviewed numerous top successful traders), Larry Williams (phenomenal trader, educator, author, and genius of originating technical indicators, who broke many records in competitive trading), and so many others. I say I made every mistake early on, and I did. But I learned. Being mathematically inclined and visually oriented, I focused most of my efforts into studying and understanding price charts. So for me, this is essential. To this day, most of my market decisions are predicated on first checking the chart! Not only do I rely on the impetus offered by charts, but I consider the psychology of market patterns. If that isn't clear, it will be once you study charts enough. So, in what way would I add to what is said here in the video? I fully understand the advice to limit your purview to just two markets. However, for me, I have to disagree, since I am coming at this from a broader perspective. I currently have over 150 stocks in my portfolios. This past year I have managed about a 50% profit gain, which needless to say, is about unheard of in the industry. The industry declares that "if you profit over 20% a year, you are a Superstar". Be that as it may, my daily routine is to scroll through hundreds of stock price charts, taking notes about those of most interest. I like to take profits on stocks that have moved far enough, and this is often in the 30% to 40% gain range. However, and this is important, if I believe that certain stocks are well worth holding onto far beyond this range, then I do not sell, but just hold. So really, in reference to the number of markets considered, I consider hundreds or even many hundreds of stocks every day, looking for the types of patterns I like to see. I like to invest in certain stocks that have been punished all year, or even longer, but only IF they show signs of a possible recovery! If I take a good profit on some stocks, I tend to quickly place those proceeds into beaten down, but hopeful, new stocks for my portfolio. I also benefit from good dividend income, and from frequent selling of covered calls. That is a whole other topic. It's tough starting out. I was brazen in the early days. Once I sold everything I had and went 100% on margin to buy a stock in a powerful looking chart, based on nothing more than the strength of the chart itself! A month later, that stock was "taken over", or "bought out", and went up 50%, which meant 100% to me on margin. Being a relative "newbie", I sold! Had I had more experience, I would have kept most of that position, because only a month or two later it went up another 50% to the final takeover price! I am not recommending margin trading for the new trader. I had a good bit of experience when I made that "rash" decision. Bottom line: if you want success bad enough, and if you are dedicated to truly educating yourself enough, and open to learning bit by bit how to play this game... then YES! ... great success is possible. Now, it is rather routine to see a $20,000 per day increase. You can get there. Bottom line, my guidance is: slow down and Educate yourself! One final thought: to date I obviously have nothing to sell. All my advice is FREE! My sympathies are with sincere new traders, because I know exactly how difficult things are early on. If you "get crazy" and try to shorten the learning curve by taking insane chances, you will be wiped out. Incidentally, long after my Ivy League Masters Degree, I continued to seek to educate myself in NYC, in this instance by taking more university courses in Probability, a great interest of mine. I must say, those courses were extremely disappointing, and I would have done better by simply reading more books about statistics. Phonies are everywhere, including university professors!!! Read many books, my friends!

I've always revered the golden mean in the world of retracement trading especially when historically you can see that it gets so much respect too from the general participants. The trick is being able to know the nuisances around it ESPECIALLY the slippage near it. A Slippage zone (usually happen so briefly) requires a different tactic in itself but it all still boils down into how much familiar a trader is about this dynamics.
