In this video, we upgrade a Summit Racing 16-gallon fuel cell to work with AN10 and AN12 E85 PTFE lines and a return-style fuel system. These fuel cells are typically designed for conventional bracket racing setups, so I had to re-engineer the entire setup, including modifying the vent and installing 10AN and 12AN bulkhead fittings. Keep up the great content! Just got my rotating assembly! If I recall correctly we have the same block. Took your advice and my compression ratio should end up around 11.5:1 like yours is. Super scared to put any boost on her but we will see once the motor is done if we boost or not.

An old racers trick on the oil pick up to weld 2 pieces of key stock on each end of the oil pick up screen just incase big wheel stands this keeps the pan from smashing down & cutting off the oil supply . Love the content keep up the great videos.đ

What u run in rear leaf or leaf and block I got 275/60r15 and 4 inch drop leaf seems to need taller tire now. It had 4 inch blocks and It sat lower when bought but rode like poo please help

I've been using a cog setup on my sbc 400 for years on the street and Interstate driving to the track. I hit 20 psi at 7000 rpm with a Procharger D2R. I've always wanted to try a YSI but years ago a guy talked me out of it because of the flimsy brackets. What's nice about the cog drive is that the belt doesn't have to be very tight. Seems like it's not that hard on any bearings. I did however pin the crankshaft and I'm not using a BBC snout either.

A belt tensioner that I've used before is one from a Ford 6.0L diesel. When you look at the factory belt routing it'll make sense. Eventually we went to the cog though. No complaints.
Cog system and an ATI Super Pulley on the blower. Look into it.

Your journey is your own. I didn't notice what fuel you're running. E85? I'm what your IAT's are. Vortech had the best volute in the business 20 years ago. How far do you plan to go without intercooling?
@@TPVPRO btw, good job stacking the brackets. Somewhere out there is driver side bracket assembly I had made from 3/4" 6061 for a NOVI 2000. I never got around to running a Ysi on the assembly, and I sold it years ago. Never thought of welding two togetherđ€Šââïž

Glad to see it's closer, mine is as well!! I have the same alternator bracket that needed 1/4 spacers and custom PS bracket with it's own custom spacers. Good luck on the rest of the build!
You may reach your goal of 20psi but at the expense of putting way too much pressure on the crankshaft. You might have been better off by putting as much psi before you have belt slip and then adding Nitrous to get the power you want
Definitely donât over tighten the belt, it will kill the bearings in the supercharger.
The tensioner limits that,
