@@alanq4 currently 245/35R19. I'll be fitting 255's next. It's all about what will fit but also you don't want to throw huge fronts on and find you have mega turn in and the rear can't cope.

@@pinderwagen true about turn in, still safer to get a little of understeer. Yep 255 and -2.5° camber is better, i have done it on customers car.

@@pinderwagen I like it alot gives a much bigger picture of the track and surroundings, the editing to insert the steering wheel and gearshift looks pretty trick too! I think you should keep this it style as its quite a big cockpit in the R8 and a small windscreen so you dont actually see that much of the track and more of the cars interior and think the people are going to want see more of the track. If you can insert inboard passenger and driver footage like you have inserted the steering wheel and gearstick youve nailed it Nige 😃

@@gavindawson2695 that's what I thought too. The camera is so far back, most of the footage is just the cabin. This seems to be the best compromise. I'll have passenger cam next trip, as well as the usual data for rpm, throttle and brake 🙂

@@pinderwagen ok? While I love watching videos of it, I fully admit I don't understand all the rules. I could understand if it's a bad wreck and it's to respect those involved but why no footage of the actual impact? Not bashing it, simply confused :)

@@juliog5 😂 not when I drove 4000 miles through the Pyrenees last month it wasn't. The Golf is better for the track, but I need a car that does both 👍

@@neutralreviews1727 this was lap 1 and tyre temperature rose during the lap, which I mention in the video. However you are correct in highlighting it understeer on entry. We dialled most of it out during the day with front and rear bump & rebound adjustment as well as rake tweaks. After day 1 I adjusted the front toe from my request of a "safe" toe in setup to toe out and it was much improved. My next video is from later in the day and you'll see it's better, but not completely removed. My driving style is also a factor, I drive it like fwd on corner entry, expecting the rear to rotate and that overloads the fronts. It's something I expected and will take a little while to get out of the habit 😳

@@pinderwagen awesome, look forward to pt2! Wish you made more YT vids tbh. I moved from FWD to a spikey M4 and then an E92 M3 for a more linear power delivery but never had the patience to master the platform……no doubt the rewards will be worth the persistence 👍
