Set quality to 2160p for the best experience 👍
R211 A Ride from Lefferts to Euclid Avenue
Far rockaway run coming soon!
Also for some reason, the propulsion on the leading cars of the R211 is super quiet, but in any other car it's much louder

For best vieweing experience set to max quality I almost didn't make it on time to record the N train going via Astoria express I ended up recording the final N express so there was confusion on which platform to go at for the Manhattan bound N train. Once reaching Astoria Blvd someone asked the operator if they can open the door the other side too but they refused to. I think it would've been ...

R42 (A) Train Departs Beach 25 Street [Final Day of Service - Railfan Event 2020]
What it looked like at Fulton St back in February 1989.. How can I post a photo from that time?
4:50 Lexington Avenue 59 Street transfer
Is Park Place the only station in the system without a starting signal? Clearly it doesn't need one since if a train is north of the double-track zone, it has the whole segment to itself.
R160,😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yo bro what happened to your channel again? I miss your videos and the content you make in them
This is where the " WARRIORS " bobed and weaved all the way back to Coney island after sirius was shot.😁😁
Another person who thinks the world owes them everything. No, the fucking doors are not being opened on the wrong side, just for you, BOY.
i love trains
How did you get a camera mounted there on the front of the train? Do you work for the MTA or are friends with the motorman?
Yo Bro Are You Still Active It's Been 1 Year Already
Awesome video🛤️🛤️
The R44 would be the first subway car to feature door close chimes.
7:33 This is literally the only time the F train goes *this* fast with the new wheels.
This video is great. Some of the comments here are beyond stupid.
Hey ya’ll, great video. I write from Palermo, Sicily, Italy. a.D. 7.V.2024
Bring back the 32s...........
Love those R 32s
OH man, l miss riding the R1-9s and theR-32s over the racetrack back in the day, if you got the railfan window you would truly be in for an experience!!!!!!!
Does St. George Terminal really need that many platforms? Maybe they can all be replaced by one wide island platform and the line can curve west and RCB Ballpark could be restored. That way, St. George can become a through-station rather than being separated with a wye like Hoboken on PATH. This is because the line could continue north of the island as it used to go there.
The Ballpark Station is literally 200 feet west of St. George Terminal and was a complete waste. Fully 95% of SI train and bus riders go through St. George. The old North Shore line is dead and ripped up in many spots and ain’t never coming back. Any $$ should go to new trains, buses and station improvements for the current MTA properties.
@@edwardp3502 Yeah, maybe you’re right. I was outraged when certain station renovations, such as the ESI lacked accessibility upgrades. I guess restoring any abandoned line, such as the Rockaway Beach Branch can wait.
HOLY CRAP!!!!! How fast is this sucker going between stops????????? I'll get to my destination in no time!!!!!!!
shoutout to the cameraman for holding onto the front of the train for the entire ride
His hair was a complete mess by the time they reached Grasmere 😂
Nice Job making the Q train to coney island I like how you change a video of a bridge to Coney Island
Hey! I live in Prospect Park. Prospect Park, New Jersey, that is! LOL. 😁😂🤪🤣😆😄😊👌
I love the motion sway.
Great camera placement
Gotta be the train ride in America. This N train really cranks on those long runs between Xpress stations. Guessing 60+ MPH? Anyone know for sure?
great view makes me wonder where the camera is placed? Were you able to place it outside?
I quickly placed it at the tip of the floor thats outside of the train at the terminal before the train operator got into the cab that way i dont get questioned haha
@@morganlimes Well it worked out well
@@morganlimes How’d you retrieve the camera? Drive to Tottenville or wait for train to return to St. George?
@@edwardp3502 I was onboard the train that day and when it got to tottenville I just waited for the operator and conductor to leave. She actually noticed it and was laughing about it with the conductor about what a camera is doing there Lol. They then left down the ramp exiting the station and then I simply retrieved it.
@@morganlimes The one option i didn’t even consider 😂
How did you get the camera set up on the front of the train? Were you the train operator?
I just went to 86 street, the stop before the terminal, and i quickly placed the camera at the tip of the floor using a grabber tool. not a train opersator haha BUT possibly in the future maybe
On the plus side it is a pleasure to ride and not see tons of graffiti and little or no trash on the tracks, on the neg side a pretty boring ride.
Staten Island keeps things pretty neat compared to the other 4 boroughs.
Great work! Im so curious on how you mount the camera onto the front of the train like that?
The center express track on the Astoria line has been unused in regular service since 2002 due to low demand. However, if the line ever gets extended to LaGuardia Airport, it may become a weekday peak-direction express track as ridership may increase to and from the airport.
There was a short lived super express called the NX that ran from 57st to brighton beach via the sea beach line. it ran from Nov 27 1967 until spring 1968. it ran peak direction rush hour only with R27 cars. discontinued due to lack of patronage.
The R 211 cars will be here soon.
Shudda been a 79th Street station.
One trivia point: the Tottenville depot is the southern most railway terminus in New York State because Tottenville is the southern most point in New York State. You can't go any further south without going into the drink.
One thing from my kid days was the SIRT trains used to be only 3 cars. This was up to at least the 1980's. Then all the stations had to be extended to fit five cars. Great Kills, for example, used to end where the foot bridge crosses over the tracks at the south end. The Bay Terrace platform used to end where the electric switch boxes are, also at the south end. That station used to have a weird configuration where the stairs went down at the end of the platform and there was a path between the two tracks so you'd be walking along side the train as both you and the train left the station. Now that's all part of the raised platform. Also, up to the late 70s, when I was attending Tottenville High School, the Princes Bay station was still made of wood.
Princes Bay also had stairs on the Tottenville bound side at Waterbury Ave. Also a waiting room on St. George bound side that was boarded up as long as I remembered it Pleasant plains also had the wood platforms.
Before the opening of the new BMT line between DeKalb and Prospect park in 1920 the Franklyn ave line was 2 tracks all the way to Fulton st where it connected to the Fulton st el. when the new bmt subway took over the Brighton line the connection at fulton st was severed and Franklyn ave became the last stop with just the southbound track. the northbound track had a wooden platform placed over after the rails were removed.
I ride the n to take it out 2 queens 2 meet the 7 to go to 61rst and i love the stretch of track between 59th and lex to queensboro plaza where the train goes so fast and swaying side 2 side that it gives u the train is gonna hop the track vibes. 😆 (not that i wish that but it still does). Its awesome.
it is ONLY an "express" when it passes the same platform anther train stops at, because this train runs on a total differant line from where the platform is this should not be called an "express"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂stupid
Oh, well I get why the 2nd Ave Subway isn't an express. Because its basically an express anyway at the speeds its running
Dont worry once word to the MTA about the fast speed, they will throw timers up. watch
Why was this N train running express in Queens?
In another reply he said it was due to midday track maintenance
Someone passed away subway surfing on this station.
Thanks for posting this great video! The West End line has been featured in many movies. Bay 50th station, the first stop out of Coney Island, was where the beginning of the famous chase scene from The French Connection started (and was filmed). Actor Gene Hackman (who played Detective Popeye Doyle), commandeers a car below the station and chases the Manhattan bound train (played by a R-42 mistakenly with "N" signage in the front) down toward 25th Avenue station and ultimately along 86th Street. Doyle lives in the Marlboro Projects, which you can see as the train leaves Bay 50th Street. Also, the beginning of "Saturday Night Fever" (John Travolta walking with the paint can) was filmed further down 86th Street, past Bay Parkway (I think by the 20th Avenue station) and the opening credits of "Welcome Back Kotter) also feature the West End and New Utrecht HIgh School.
Used to be a 4 track line. Now a 3 track line.
Love the old B&O color position signals.
When does this train run?
24/7, like the subway.
Do you have permission to put ur camera by the front of the train? Jw
