what do you suggest for the e46 m3?
What the best street tyres for fbo e85 f80 m3
Great video. Thoughts vs the cup 2 R?
I got some clips of you Very nice sounding porshe you have !
If you could do it all over again, what exhaust would you purchase for the F80? Trying to make up my mind🤦🏻♂️
Same exhaust unless it’s an M2. With an M2, I’d go full Remus
Update: I ended up purchasing the Remus Exhaust for the F80. I also went with the Nitron R1 kit. TE37s in matte black (squared) from EAS and all MAD products for piping. CSF for all cooling. 2017 Mineral White🤙🏽 Thanks again, and eventually, I am looking forward to getting out to COTA since we live here in San Antonio (military)
@@RGCortes sounds like a hell of some upgrades!
Does it have to be bosch?
I didn’t try other options. Bosch was the only one I saw at the time on FCP euro but maybe you could get away with another brand
@@Thewinnerscircle_ just purchased a bosch MAF sensor. How do I know which side to replace? Or do I replace both?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of your old videos on Goodyear F1 supercar 3R tires was great! What is the pressure you set them at to drive on the street ? Then at the track cold / hot pressures
I run 27 cold with the ultimate goal of 32 hot for track use. When driving on the street, I honestly pump those babies up. 35 cold for driving around town
Thanks for the blow by blow, very helpful. My car just threw cylinder misfire codes at high RPM after the past two drives. Taking to the dealer tomorrow …
Good luck!
Hey Gabe, I also have a Yas Marina F80 and came across a set of these wheels. Would these wheels work with the KW Clubsport 2-ways or would I still need those SPL parts to make it work??? Thanks again🫡
It just depends on the spring diameter. I don’t know the spring diameter on the KW coilovers you have but regardless of spring diameter or coilover, you’ll need the SPL parts for these to work
Chef’s kiss
Ok, it has been two years. Are these still your favorites?
Yes and still the tire I compete with in any time attack competitions
@@Thewinnerscircle_ , outstanding! Thank you for the feedback 🍻
is the diffuser stock one?
911R diffuser
Hey man. I know this is an old video. Looking to get an F80 just for the track. I was wondering what the lowest weight you were able to get the car to? Do you think 3000 lbs with a full cage is possible? Thanks!
I don’t think I was ever able to weigh the car but I don’t think sub 3k would be impossible!
Do you get CEL with the race headers? If not, can I pass smog without visual inspection? I live in the state of Nevada. Most smog station doesn't do visual. Thank you in advance for the information. I really want to get this race headers and crack pipe combination. Just worried about can't pass smog. Is the smell livable without cat on the GT3? Did it yellow the rear of the car like obsessed garage stated?
Definitely won’t pass smog and you won’t even get to a visual test without failing because it’s LOUD and CLEARLY not catted. I didn’t have issues with yellowing though.
Thank you so much for responding. It's very helpful and still tempting. Love the sound of your car just like a RSR. Don't really mind of the sound level just worry about the hassle having to replace to stock every year for passing the smog here in NV. Is it livable with the fume smell for carless on your car?
@@yuzhang6530 I had the windows up most of the time so it didn’t bother me at all but I can’t speak on having windows down to be honest
I actually do exactly the same like you. Very helpful information indeed! Thanks much!!
Do you have CEL with the O2 spacers on the headers?
Question, did you put a custom exhaust bracket on? For the crackpipe? Or did you cut that top mounting bracket off thats not needed for the crack pipe? Hopefully you see this comment lol
Exactly. Cut off that extra arm on the bracket and you’re good to go 👍🏽
@@Thewinnerscircle_awesome!!! So that solved the rattle? Sorry commenting on an different account now lol
@@blake_edwards88 yes. The rattle is that extra arm vibrating around enough to rattle against the mounting point of the entire bracket
@@Thewinnerscircle_ sick thanks man. Just ordering my crack pipe and then also my buddy was having the rattle issue we were trying to solve. So glad I came across your video
@@Thewinnerscircle_ hey! Crack pipe is installed, I cut that top mounting bracket. Just got a rattle after about 200 miles of the new exhaust. Wasn’t there before. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Yea no shyt. Sad im replyin to a 5year old vid
😂😂😂😂
Beautiful! Love the setup! And would like to do the same. If you don't mind sharing...What size spacers (front and back) and extended lugs did you use?
I haven’t had this car in years but I do remember a 25mm spacer up front and we used MSI and Motorsport hardware
For everyone reading, we understood the severity of this catastrophic problem and we designed a real solution. We just introduced the first Breakaway Caber Plates for GT cars! If you have been doing your research about this, or worse, have experienced this, take a look at our in depth video description. You don't have to be a victim. czcams.com/video/_GOchSMA1j4/video.html
Exhaust ?
Supersprint euro race with eBay headers and resonators deleted
For a standard 718 GT4 used on mainly mountain pass and track, would stock shocks with after market springs help preventing the issue? If so, any recommendations on the spring rate? Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately I do not have a specific spring rate. I would talk with guys at dundon and see what rates they recommend
I wish I could order a 2xl motorsport helmet from Arai :/
Even then, it could still be small. My large is what I’d consider a medium until you really start to break it in
@@Thewinnerscircle_ I tried a GP6S with a balaclava on couple days ago, apparently I can fit in XL :D
@@tonyy.8852 ayyyy that’s awesome
So much fun! was fun watching you go around the track all weekend! See you out there again next time!
Thank you 🙏🏽
Good sheit per usual! Hopefully that trans leak isn't a big issue! They should service it for free since they last had it.
Yea they’re handling all the issues with the car and getting us back up and ready for more competitions this year
Suncoast makes a nice upgrade for the rear brake duct that replaces both ducts with one that pushes more are into the brakes and is up out of the way so it doesn’t get knocked off on the track.
Interesting 🤔 for sure going to be on my radar now
Crazy about the sway bar delaminating. At the very least, the brake ducts aren't too expensive to replace. Surprised to see the clutches might be that worn at this mileage but I guess you can say 12,000 track miles is like 120,000 miles.
Yea that’s exactly what I figured as well. We will see soon what the diagnosis is. Hopefully it’s not that but the slipping of clutches over the past 2 events has me doubtful they’re still any good for our purpose
Hey Gabe, it would be interesting to see a video comparing owning this .2 RS ‘track car’ and a .2 Cup car. I would assume running a cup car would be a tad more expensive (in terms of consumables, and the engine/trans rebuild) but would give a lot better experience on track, with the benefit of potentially racing and comparing yourself to other drivers.
Yea man totally. It’s not ideal for someone to go out and spend $250-300k on a GT3RS and gut it and remove all the comforts of being able to drive it on the street unless you’re crazy like Jason so I can 1000000% understand why someone would rather just get a cup car. As far as costs to run each car goes, I think the GT3RS wins in that category because everything is going to be more expensive and require more frequent replacement or rebuilding on a cup car
Hey Gabe are you still considering getting a 911 for another potential track build and how is Jason enjoying the ownership of the F80 ?
Hey AJ what’s up bro. I don’t wanna give away any hints at what’s next just yet but the plan is to start with a new project soon. Jason is enjoying his F80. It’s just his daily so nothing crazy going on with it
Hey gabe do you still street drive the rs every now and again or now it’s strictly track. Also do you have plans tracking out over in the eastcoast like Daytona?
This is Jason’s car that I only took compete with but he’s non-op registered it so it no longer gets driven on the street and I honestly can’t imagine how bad it would be to driven on the street lol the car requires ear protection now or you’ll have your head ringing in just a few minutes and that seat will have you seeing a chiropractor in an hour 😂 as far as driving on the east coast, no plans just yet but I’m picking up a new toy soon and I’d like to do some tracking out that way!
wow 12k track miles is insane, how do you compare the reliability to the f8x?
This is a great question. I think both are great track day toys. Both were extremely reliable for me. I wouldn’t pick one over the other. I think it’s very impressive to see how fast these GT cars are and how stout they are over time with their reliability. I can’t remember too much going bad on my F80 to be honest. It was extreme reliable for me. It just wasn’t as fast
you need more camber on those rears...
do you still have your .1 GT3?
Sold that car last February 👍🏽
Replaced it with this .2 3RS?!
Great hanging with ya. Bummed I couldn't keep you on your toes in the viper. Next time!
Yea man I’m sure you’ll be competitive soon so this was only a nice break to catch lol
what exhaust is on that?
Dundon Crackpipe and race headers
Cruising out there! And no 3rd place! Win Win :D
😂😂😂 thank you 🙏🏽

😎
You should have gotten DQ’d for lifting in 8
After watching the film, there’s no way I should’ve lifted. That was the sub 20
CCP very disappointed no mention of Chinese Roger Penske was made. Social credit downgraded
I don’t wanna hear it. Mfer chose stage coach over the track smfh
M3 needed to step aside and let the big boys pass. Faaaaar from that level kiddo.
😂😂😂
Had an audi rs3 (8v) before I bought a g80 m3 and the handling was night and day compared to the rs3, having taken both on track the m3 feels way better in the corners than the audi even though its 200kg heavier. I gotta give it to the m3 for the way it was designed, amazing car.
Lucky you on my cars R7’s last 4 hours max a weekend in my case
what happened between you and studio rsr? i don’t see them in your videos anymore..
Ive planned on addressing this for a while but there’s still some things going on that need to be handled before I can spill the beans on the scam artists that are over there. Soon 👍🏽
@@Thewinnerscircle_ can’t wait for you to spill the beans 😂…and yes i don’t trust that shady ass shop and those guys either….im glad you guys are not affiliated with them anymore 🤙🏼
Your transition through 8 and 9 is the best I have seen!
Thank you 🙏🏽 I don’t track big willow very often but it’s one of my favorite tracks to test my mental strength 😂 my line thru T8-T9 is all really only developed from sim racing, believe it or not. I know most people use land marks as reference points but enough laps on the sim has translated to some good track recognition through T8-T9
Nice! Excited for this! Also currently shopping for an E46 M3 as my next project. How much did you grab this example for?
I got this one for $34k with 122k miles. I’m pretty sure I overpaid but then again, I don’t think I would’ve found something with this nice of a spec for cheaper
⚡️⚡️⚡️
czcams.com/video/t-UFl-RedT0/video.htmlsi=13nfV_DmDoPRh4c5
What was the total for all bushings, rear diff/subframe work? Of course, if you don't mind sharing. I'm at the point where i'm looking at options to move platforms and obviously an e46 is on the list.
I paid $2700 and that included subframe reinforcement plates, all bushings front to rear, motor mounts, trans mounts, guibo and a leaky power steering line.
E36 and E46 are some of the best cars to drive (when they work), I can see why you keep coming back. Im currently in the market for an E36 that ill eventually LS swap for autox. Damn shame how many things need to be reinforced though
Yes but it’s understandable given the age is now hitting 20+ years for E46 and 25+ for the E36
You had an E46 M3 then installed some mods, but was NOT impressed with the performance so you got rid of it and now you're starting over? WHAT?
Going to try some different mods that I never thought about doing because I didn’t know much about. Also, this is a spec that I like much more than my last E46
@@Thewinnerscircle_ Good luck and the best to you. I have moderate mods on my E30, E36 and E46 M3, very capable vehicles.
Yoooo, you need to do the e46m3 drive cycle to get the o2 set, its a pain in the ass, but you should be able to get them set in a day.
That’s what I’ve read. I gotta spend more time with it
