Es increible lo adentro q llega esto.

I have listened to dozens of solo pianists from the Russians through the rest and Alfred Brendel's version remains unparalleled in feel for the music, full-range expression, allowing the notes and chords sustain, mute, and play within, below and above. And the timing for each is perfect. I have never heard this live recording as I have only the solo studio album, which is marvelous. Each version has it's small variances, but this live recording is simply amazing. Shoutout to ELP whose version first turned me onto Mussorgsky back in the 1970's.

This is the best first movement I could find. Edit: partly due to acoustics, as well I love his "Barenboim on Beethoven" third movement interpretation better, however

It's such a bless to listen to Mr.Barenboim's Chopin! He is not famous of romantic era music, but holy shoot, his interpratation is really special and heartful. Many tiny ideas with pauses and dynamic changes I have never listen before, and I like them so much, he is indeed special.

I have been a great admirer of Maestro Barenboim since I was very young. Contrary to what many tend to believe, I think he is a very sensitive person given the fact that he plays with his soul and speak straight from the heart -- As soon as he touches the first key of any piece he plays by any composer, he unveils his sentiments of who he really is. Though I had the privilege to hear many great performances by other great artists, I am eternally grateful to have known those of Maestro Barenboim. He is an icon. Thank you Maestro Barenboim for such great achievement.
