It’s sad to be without power so long, but they are working hard. In Beaumont after Rita in 2008 we were without power for 3 weeks and we don’t have as many people as Houston.

As someone in south Louisiana, I’m in disbelief a cat 1 caused so much chaos and exposed massive ineptitude from leaders. The lack of preparation for this is inexcusable. It’s not just on CenterPoint. This was an epic failure. Also, it seems like surrounding counties were better prepared than Harris county, smh.

I'm from Houston, and I had no power for 6 days. And we just got full power yesterday, and we saw absolutely no Centerpoint trucks nowhere. I still have some of my neighbors, and they still have no power as I write this comment.
