The whole point of simming for me is to go from airport to airport , and xplane airports are amazing! The night lighting also is beautiful, so immersive.

Blu & XP, your review and reflections on FSExpo 2024 were excellent! It was a pleasure meeting you both in person. Your thought about opening the Exhibit Hall on Friday is intriguing. From what I observed, many exhibitors, including us in the lounge, were setting up throughout Friday and into the evening. Perhaps having exhibitors arrive a day earlier could allow for opening it earlier. I agree, having more time for the Exhibit Hall would be a good thing. Definitely something to consider. I'm already excited for Providence and the chance to reconnect with you and others who share our passion for flight simulation. Cheers and Blue Skies friends!

It truly was a great Expo.

I'm so glad I left on Monday. Sunday was as busy as Saturday and like they said, they had to kick us out lol.

Schedule the biggest announcements towards the end. This year, the biggest most exciting announcements went in the first half. I lost interest after that.

Houston was unique and I don't think we'll see that again anytime soon. I was with you guys in spirit watching virtually. I'm looking forward to see you both next year! Location activities are VERY important. Like me, I'm sure many people tag on an extra vacation. With Houston it was NASA. For Providence it's NYC / Boston which are bucket list locations for me, especially with the Acela Express which you can drive in TSW4! Vegas would have been perfect for me.

I flew PAE-EWR United first . First long haul EWR - LGAV Continental

My first flight in triple 7 was CYYZ-PHNL. Depending on winds it was a give or take 10hr flight, not sure if that even ranks as a long haul. It was also my first experience with the 777 and all went well. I did find a couple of bugs with it but am confident PMDG will take care of those. In fact the first update just released, I just downloaded it from PMDG operation center.

😅As good as PMDG 777 is…Let´s not forget the upcoming MD11. I´m looking foreward to that aircraft 🎉❤

What about A350?

Yes the engine sounds aren’t the best but it’s one hell of a simulation of 777, I love it…. I fly in VR and what an amazing experience for 👍 sure….well done PMDG!

That 777 has the worst sounds coming from a major developer. This 777 shit is so hyped. People will fly it for a week and watch how fast they start to store it in the hangar.

the engine sounds are a disgrace! What a let down, I will NOT buy another plane from them until I hear the sounds. I was wondering WHY they never promoted the engine sounds. Terrible! And YES that matters. 80 bucks USD????

I have never bought an airplane so quick! I've been desperate for a fully useable long-haul aircraft....and for the cherry on top, it's been flawless for me - didn't see a single bug! Can you imagine mixing this 777 in FS2024 with the walk-around function? Aamazing. The only thing this is missing is flight crew audio. Do I feel sorry spending this money when we have the A380 coming, or the A330 in the next sim? No. You should have seen KPAE on opening day!. My first route was KPAE to CYYZ Air Canada. That being said, I still find myself more interested in seeing what FlightFactor's offering is, with all the extras they throw in. I may end up getting that one too, who knows. But I'd really like the A350. If I really have a criticizm of it, it's the maintenance system - I like many would fly so many different airframes, each would get relatively little use such that the wear-and-tear becomes nearly pointless in my opinion. So a more complex wear system, but one that doesn't tie itself to liveries is more valuable I think. I flew an Air Canada flight and wore the tires on one landing - I might not fly that livery for another 10 trips.

It’s crazy how FF just put their 777 without any fanfare.

if you name a type of aircraft in the sim, chances are you have a couple of great options, but that’s not the case with long haul commercial. it took four years to get here. the 777 does some pretty short routes across the globe, but it can also do 13000kms, making it very versatile. beautiful aircraft too. no wonder it’s doing so well.

I think the A380 is going to be one of those plane that will end up with a phase out. I think the best thing about having the 777 now is I think people have a pretty decent rotation of commercial planes to use across the board

As always we get answers to all of your questions with time and then we will always have late suprises as to what we get we always go off months before the release and argue with a fraction of anything resembeling a fact. we cannot arguing for any side the way we do now. we always end up with egg on our face

I have been eagerly waiting for this as A300 is my fav aircraft.They could have released the RR Base version for the sim and later release the other models(GE/PW) at a later time as a free update or as an expansion to the base.I have no idea what they are planning right now as they dont post any updates or interact well with the community.

Interesting. I see what you mean about not knowing who's behind this. But I think this is overall a good thing. Commitment to succeed with investors backing the business means there's less a chance we lose this brand. With their claim of being a global company, I think things are moving fast for them (and they have to)... They're trying to put out a statement, but it may not be an official press release yet. Perhaps the investors want to provide the fixes first, before the ink is dry.

I think why they partly stopped with xp is because of the ini and Microsoft partnerships. Also much more people are flying fs2020 than xp12

Yeah, they definitely have to optimize their scenery. I can't comment on the A300 because I never owned it for XP, but they should update the community on what is happening with the A300. They have so much going on bringing planes to MSFS that XP may have taken a back seat at this point. It's those dollar signs, LOL

I still mostly use X-Plane 12 since MSFS2020 takes waaaay longer to load and the flight-controls feel to light when flying heavy aircraft. Plus I hate the MSFS2020 interface, it totally sucks. Greetings from Ireland.

I love iniBuilds' airplanes. But they really screwed me over with their A310 for XP12 as a VR user. Their EFB simply doesn't work in VR, and this was NOT stipulated on their product copy, and I exclusively fly in VR. They wouldn't even consider a refund for me even though I will never use the product (jerks). I'll never give them another cent of money, but will continue to use their products.

I thought they back tracked on this? Did they turn on that and delay it?

You asked, XP, I’ll reply: Sales talk. Fan-boyisms apart, X-Plane is dead for some devs. MSFS sales are so much more than X-Plane’s that it’s not worth it to fix a plane that Austin breaks for every XP12 update he makes. It’s different for MSFS. The software Ini sells for MSFS sells so well, that updating each MSFS “breaking” update (when it does), pays it well to fix. We all know the public research of what people use and what people stopped using. IniBuilds is a business after all and have a very busy roadmap ahead for MSFS. Not only for aircraft but for scenery too. I can see Austin tremble. He has started the idea of doing a XP shop for addons. In my opinion, he is doing this in a desperate move to keep its customers to stay. He HAS to continue the XP saga as it’s his business, but I am starting to think that the addon industry isn’t, as there’s more money to be made in the MSFS platform. And hey, let’s say how it is: MSFS is a great platform. Not just because of IniBuilds but because of all the other good addon companies in the MSFS platform. Just my two cents.

Bruh, they delaying this plane and it ain’t even a complete study level aircraft. This plane is just a few levels above what LatinVFR has with the A321 and will not be near level of PMDG, iniBuilds, or Fenix. Who gives a shit for Aerosoft A330. Aerosoft should just stick to making sceneries.

It's real simple. The A300 is printing money in MSFS and in XP12, it isn't.

Its nice to have them as they fill a lot of gaps for scenery but i still prefer quality over quantity and guys like flightbeam, flytampa, pyreguee or sfd in x-plane still make the better products imho. For aircraft i find ini to be overrated quite a bit as what they have shown so far is good but definitely not top tier and they have yet to proof what they can do with a modern airliner like the upcoming A350 and A380.

I agree on optimisation. I have to prepare myself mentally when I decide to fly into a large airport
