Meadowell in NE is hands down was the worst Estate in Britain and hit the news in the late 80s. Anything not nailed down was nicked. Nothing was safe and you couldn't even send your kid to the shops. Made Shameless look like Disneyland.

Loved going to the IOW as a child. Went back as an adult and hated it. Felt like a time warp, couldn't get anywhere without a sodding 20 mile detour due to the chain ferry being closed. My husband went over on his bike and nearly got killed by some dickhead who rammed him off his bike on a roundabout. My husband was left with life changing injuries and the driver got off scot free. So yeah, neither of us like the IOW.

He can also set your path straight.if you turn to Him. I’m someone who spent a lot of years in darkness also with a void in my heart. I was a run away child. I often got in trouble with the police. I was into drinking and taking drugs partying etc trying to fill that void and hopelessness that I always felt. There is so much more I could add to this but you get the idea. After many years seeking only after things that were either harmful or allowing depression takes its toll on me.having no hope until one day God came into my life and He filled that void and emptiness I suffered from all my life. I was healed from depression as well as my addiction to smoking . My heart and soul is being healed , God has given me hope in my life. He can do the same for you if let him.I have never experienced peace like I do now. You can also experience that same love and healing and peace in your life God has mercy for you.But there is a few things you need to know. There will be a time that we will all face Gods judgement. God is righteous and Holy and we are all sinners. In a court of Law if you commit a crime and you was found guilty you will be punished and be sent to jail. Gods punishment is Hell and because we are all sinners we will be found guilty. The 10 commandments is where we see if you have committed any sin’s or not. Have you ever lied? Have you lust over someone? Have you ever taken something that was not yours? Have you ever said omg or used Jesus Christ name as a curse word ? These are only 4 of Gods commandments and if you have said yes to any of these questions I’m not judging you but on judgement day God will judge you and will find you guilty for these sins and will be sent to eternal punishment The good news Jesus Christ came and paid the price for your sins He took the punishment we deserve so that you don’t go eternal punishment hell.. He died on the cross and If you believe in your heart that Jesus died and was raised on the third day and repent and ask in prayer for forgiveness of your sins you will be saved. Which means on judgement day because you have believed and trusted in Jesus and have faith in Him and have been forgiven,on judgement day God will let you go and you will be saved from going to eternal punishment. Jesus was sacrificed to save you and everybody else because of the love He has for us John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Romans 10: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. The gospel is not God hatefully saying turn to me or I'll send you to Hell the gospel is God's mercy and Grace saying you're already on your way to Hell turn to me and I’ll save you. My view is that Isle of Wight has a strong conservative base. They want ferry prices to be high etc to stop tourism deliberately to keep the place as quiet as possible. Its the older NIMBY mentality. Just look at the canary island protests, just like that they don't want tourists coming to IOW and its obvious.

The council are wasting money on car parks instead of putting money into turning the area a safe place especially for our kids.. the drugs they are on is monkey dust I've seen police just walk past dealing and idiots off their heads threatening people just walking past... I loved my childhood hols in the 70s and early 80s at Sandown, Sandown even had a little zoo, the Island was lovely, we loved going to Black Gang Chine and Alum Bay

Man, I grew up in this area when I was a kid. It was rough. I remember kids without shoes in streets, playing Frisbee with roof tiles, druggies everywhere. Fights in the street and if a plane was low enough they'll nick the wheels off it. Lol. I would not walk around there now. That was over 20 years ago now.

This was absolutely fascinating. My maternal ancestry is Scots Ulster and Protestant Northern Irish- I’ve never really understood the “Troubles”, but Henry was so articulate and interesting to listen to. It’s on my bucket list to come home to Northern Ireland and Belfast and visit these wonderful, proud and resilient people, both Catholic and Protestant.

Loved jaywick in the 80s early 90s. My sister had a caravan on camber sands ,i have alot of happy family memories. From 16 till i had my two children so till i was 32. Mum and dad and now my dear older sister has passed, my sister was the one who would get all the family together and arrange these holidays and days out with my other sisters nieces and newphews . Went Clacton many many times. Last time me my older sister my daughter and young grandson went for holiday was in 2012 and it had changed so much then but never will i forget the old jaywick and our fun day's with my lovely family.

So couldn't live on the street 😮 🤦 i just would not cope.

Rough so called estate didn't look rough to me looked quite clean and nice. Seen some of your other videos this is lovely compared to ones i seen

Beach looks okay.

Problem is there is not enough housing. I looked at rents all round country first of in a town there is not much and ones that are there are a lot and thats before bills. Then you have to provide so much for estate agent and if u cant then got not chance able to rent. So that leaves spare room which not secure housing and you never know if people okay to live with. I feel second homes need to ban now because not enough housing for people 😭 my fear is to be on streets i wouldn't wven last a night.
