How/where to watch all six seasons

Beautiful tune, magically bringing us all back to our childhood years, even for those (like me) who weren't living in UK and didn't watch the ITV school "MY World" program

I remember one episode with a girl and a red balloon.. Still pops into my head sometimes...

I remember the theme of My World, which used to be on just after midday. Loved it then and still do. I recall it more as an ending theme because it sort of signalled that all the children's programmes that had been on all morning were over. I'm sure Alan Parker and all those other great library music composers never envisaged their work having such an impact on a generation.

It was 35+ years ago - so my increasingly unreliable memory may have this wrong - but I'm sure I remember this track being used when Mike dumped some random girlfriend. She drove off down Ramsay Street - and, thus, out of Neighbours! - after about three episodes, with this one blaring over her departure. (Opening the door for yet another fling with Plain Jane the Superbrain!)

Insidious, I remember it well

The theme tune that the show is mostly remembered for was performed on a glass harmonica (aka a glass harmonium) and was "Manège" by the Baschet Brothers.

Back to my wonderful childhood.

picture box was a bore.....it was mean time when picture box was on air....and I remmber there was a bigger reason to be watching the TV that was on after picture box and I can't remember what it was

Were these pieces used other than in Spring/Summer Terms 1981. I know they weren't used again in the 1980s, but how about the 70s?

I don't think I ever saw the Southern start up. Usually wouldn't watch tv until coming home from school. Great memories of Southern programmes.

Bring back schools and colleges programmes they were the best in the 70s and 80s.

The imagination on show is superb! It got a bit weird in 1986 for my liking but still very creative

That "master material" thing could mean a few things: 1" C videotape reels, analog Betacam SP videocassettes, and Digital Betacam videocassettes.

What a wonderful piece Southern Rhapsody was. Poignant mention of Jack Hargreaves who would be the inspiration for Coughing Bob Fleming on the Fast Show.

I always found this music extremely weird - it sounded somehow like it'd had all the air sucked out of it.

I remember thinking of ghosts and skeletons dancing around to this.

The clock was introduced in Autumn 1978 I think, I'd be surprised if the older clock continued throughout 1978
