I just stumbled across your channel. I just picked up an xr400r to ride these same trails on. I don't have anyone to ride with but have riden one of the trails a week ago, and it was a blast. I just don't recommend doing it by yourself.

At first I thought, what in the world would bearings have to do with brake performance. After thinking about it for a bit it makes sense as the rotor is "wiggling" it would push the piston into the caliper body. Grab the brake lever, nothing. Grab it repeatedly and it will force the piston out, pushing the pads back against the rotor. Thanks for the tip and the headsup.

I bought the old ones, and recently the new ones and have NEVER got a single koozie lol. Anyway, I like the new ones...but there seems to be a BIT MORE vibration blur on both mirrors now. Kinda bummed but I def like them overall better, was hoping to eliminate the blur.

Watching this was better than any reality show out there!!

I had the exact same thing happen to me on my 2013 Yamaha Super Tenere with OEM wheels, at 82,500km (51,265 miles). The wheel bearings had been checked 10,000km prior to the bearing failure.

Good advice. I’m putting new tires on my GSA. Going to inspect the wheel bearings based on the bike’s mileage.

Vile looking thing. A turd, no matter how well it goes. For myself, spending on a premium bike includes great looks, which this just does not have. 1250gsa likely my last one if BMW keep on this ugly track.... the std 1300gs is almost as bad... ugly, cheap looking, and too small.

Hello dear motorcycle friend. In desperation I looked for a video on CZcams because I had the same problem as you on my BMW R 1250 GSA. Your advice was so good. I removed the sensor disk and it was actually a bit bent. I just bent it and now it works. I would like to thank you very much for your very valuable tip. Best wishes from Germany, Christian.

I also rode a Pan Am for a couple of hours. You were mainly off road with no traffic around you. I found that the wind buffeting, road noise, and heat to be excessive. Have you ridden it on road and if so did you experience any of this issues. I have been in the cruiser world for years and would be afraid to take this on a long road trip. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks for this video. This allows me to pretty much see what the terrain is like on that road. Video seems to flatten out terrain and always makes trails look less steep and rocky than they actually are. Nice job handling it, you've got a bigger bike with a lot of gear that adds to the level of difficulty.

I have two wheel sets for my 1250 GSA, one has the factory rotors and the other has the Galfer Wave rotors, I can't really tell much of a difference in performance between the two. That said, they are top notch kit and almost half the price of the OEM rotors so that's a HUGE win in my book.

You need a Battery inpact driver with torques bit set . Make working on the bike much easier . Use a torque wrench for final set. A work table also,helps . Just offering some ideas for easier and more enjoyable repairs.

Just a tip, hand position greatly affects the use of a torque wrench. Your hand is choked up way too far on that wrench sir.

I went out last year to ride the GOAT with a friend, got lost and just kept riding the backroads! Beautiful area! Ohio has some amazing backroads that rival VA imo. Correction... It was a different route that I tried to ride. This is the 1st that I've seen the GOAT! Pretty cool but it missed some amazing Licking county backroads.
