Would you call that a triplet feel with the ghost notes...kind of making it swing?
Great question! Definitely similar. I think of it more as a dotted quarter followed by an eighth note. You could think of it as a triplet with the first two notes tied (somewhat different feel). And certainly approaching swing world :)
I have to tell you that I listened to your version of this classic soon after you posted the video, and it's totally turned into a major ear worm for me. I should be humming The Beatles, The Stones, Bob Wills, Hank Penny, Parliment-Funkadelic, Nirvana, Snoop Dog, Lyle Lovett, Pavarotti or anything else. But no...
