THE BEST THING IVE EVER DONE!!!! Air cannons fitted to the big square baler.
I’ve made an air cannon to spray air onto machinery to loosen up straw and dust to prevent fires let me know what you think in the comments

Nice on. Little bit of everything, even Colin!
You made a junk jet
I wouldn't lean over a moving pully to set the auger !
nice im from linconshire near a place called boston
Loved the video on agriculture technology! It’s incredible to see how technology is revolutionizing farming.
You can’t tease us with that Capri!!!
I can
Tom, I’m watching from America - California! Love your commentary, content, and videos.
3:58 Tom, who is ‘Colin Furze’, never heard of them, mustn’t be very famous?
Further up the A1 in The North
Brunei Tom, but use to farm in Leicestershire
excellent project maybe a manifold mounted on top so you can select which area to blast - saing air and concentrating on an area cheap solenoids could open and shut independently
The advancements in agriculture technology shown here are quite promising
you need to get this patented before someone else does
Really good idea. So simple. Should stop things seizing/burning!
Hi Tom. What's the update on ya low-loader trailer? Looks like the ramps bust🤔 Are ya keeping it quiet? Haha. Watching from New Zealand. Cheers Andrew
It’s now repaired 😃
great seeing older trusty machines i grew up with a ransome then we got a new holland 8050 but dad had no idea to shut to cab door and use the aircon - retro fitted to stop the dust, at 14 i spent my entrie summer cleaning and dusting the damn thing
Closing every video with a classic ford in the background, I love it :D
Watching from America. Love the content
I think it'll make a great tennis ball launcher.
We had a Massey Ferguson 585 with a 15ft comb when Dad sold out in March 1973. We could strip 100 acres a day. Didn't work at night, no lights. Started as early in the morning as conditions allowed i.e. warm enough to thrash. No cab. In Western Australia we have harvest bans when it reaches 100 deg F. or around 38 deg C. I used to get really brown after stripping 2,500 acres.
Great Video Tom. We’ve got a baler and blow it down each morning but keeping it clear through the day would save scratching and going under the baler. 👍🏼
We Farm in north Cornwall boscastle we like watching you videos after a day in the rain
When picking the trailer up with the pickup hitch fully extended lift till it is gust of the ground then pull the hitch in don't lift it right up then pull in or you will bow the hitch like what we have done on are own tractors
DRone footage is fine as part of a video, drone footage alone is pretty boring - no human element, don't watch 'em.
The focus on sustainable agriculture technology is particularly noteworthy. This video does a great job of addressing its potential benefits
Australia. Be careful with high cycles on a pressure vessel - a lot of air receivers are cheaply manufactured without much design margin; longitudinal weld at the bottom of horizontal are my least favorite. You could have a latching relay cycle between two release valves - one for either side. Holes closest to the pressure source may also need to be smaller for flow balancing. For a common manifold arrangement, I would do orifice plates so you can adjust to target where you want the most cleaning action rather than where the air wants to flow. Even better would be a pilot release nozzle at each cleaning point, with the system spraying each and moving to the next... if the piping fits in the space.
Interesting Tom, I like the 'one shot does plenty' approach, but what's stopping you piping air at lower psi to run constantly from the tractor into all those pipes/manifolds around thf bailer so that dust etc can't build up in the first place?
Brilliant idea Tom. Controlling the blast of air will be the key. Keep it up! Watching from Southern Ireland.
Would adding a Venturi valve on the end of the pipe help to augment air flow?

Watching in east yorks The main places I find straw building up is all around the knotters each side behind the band boxes and just below the needles But the main place to clean is the knotter brake a good blast of air to these places would lower the fire hazard and keep the baler working well
Watching from Maine USA. I think you’ll need to put cables valves on the different tubes to concentrate air or limit it at times. Also I’d imagine smaller holes with every other one offset slightly for more coverage. I have an air cleaner/radiator blower wand and the holes are mere pin pricks but the air coming out is impressive
Loads more French tales and pictures, interesting history.👍🇬🇧
That's a really good idea, would a slightly smaller bore pipe be more effective
Love your channel and what a fantastic idea to clean out your mobile plant, but would suggest using a pulse valve such as made by Goyen for Fabric Filters. Thereby removing the need for the small ram and mechanism potentially giving an even more impressive action.
Canadian here 👌
Am from sunny Northern Ireland , tommy boy . 😎, what youre making there tom is called an air bazooka , they can be used to inflate tyres that have a hard to set beed . it will also do the job youre looking to do . blast away the over burden of hey .
Wtf man hurry the hell up.
Tom the air cannon is totally ridiculous but also totally brilliant I don’t know how your brain is wired to come up with things like this but keep it going.
if you want to increase the out put volume put a venturi system
Yes yes a thousand times yes. Worst job ever. Blowing off the combine. Western Canada cutting durum wheat tomorrow.
Here from USA - balers get so dusty. This looks like an excellent solution. Hopefully it doesn't dislodge any belts.
The video covers agriculture technology well, though I think it could include more real-world examples.
It a good idea tom I am from Boston so just down the road 😅
Great idea Tom . Watching from central Portugal not much farming all forestry
Looks a great system and very useful! I'm surprised they don't come fitted as standard TBH. I think you've officially become a member of the A Team with this one mate!
That laugh at 07:21 was suspiciously like a super villain's laugh!
Watching from Denmark 🇩🇰
Usually watch from home in New Zealand, but currently on a boat approaching New York, with Internet via Starlink.
I come from Devon which is nearly a different country
Hey Tom, watching from the West Coast of the US! Loving the videos keep up the awesome work!
