    How do people figure out the hand coordination to poke out from the underside without flipping the project over?

    • @iheartstitchart
      @iheartstitchart Před měsícem

      It really comes from practice! I struggled with this at first but I found the most helpful thing was/still is to use the fingers of my left hand (or right hand, if you're a leftie) to press on the back of the fabric and that helps me landmark where my needle comes up. I will use my fingers to put a bit of pressure on the fabric and also help guide my needle. I'm currently teaching myself to stitch with my left hand, and honestly training my right hand to hold the hoop/guide the needle is the largest part of the challenge! If you practice it will start to become natural. Hope that helps!

    Why would the sell the 6 strands together when only three is needed

    • @KaiLucasZachary
      @KaiLucasZachary Před měsícem

      Because 3 tangles much easier.

    • @iheartstitchart
      @iheartstitchart Před měsícem

    Thank you for your videos. Very clear and well explained. How do you print the designs you need to embroider?

    • @iheartstitchart
      @iheartstitchart Před měsícem

      For these ones, I have screen-printed them in my studio. But there are many ways to transfer a pattern to fabric - at home you would print it out in the size you want, and then you can either use carbon transfer paper, layer pattern + fabric over a light source and trace with a heat-erase pen, or actually print the pattern on special papers that iron on or stick on. It is a wide topic and really depends on your preferences and the fabric you are using! I'll do a video on it soon but hopefully that helps meanwhile.

    I really don’t understand the issues with the music. It’s really not bad at all. But I also couldn’t imagine telling someone else how to film their videos. Literally educating us for free and people have the nerve to tell the teacher how to teach. Make your own videos if you don’t like it

    Knots you finish embroidery is not what you should do. No knots ever.!!!

    • @iheartstitchart
      @iheartstitchart Před 2 měsíci

      Respectfully, I disagree... in some pieces it is very important to not use knots, but in others it really doesn't matter. It depends on the piece, and the goals of the person making it! When I first started embroidery I was intimidated and frustrated by trying to make the back perfect and not use knots... so much that I gave up for awhile. If not using knots is important to you, that's amazing! I respect the skill level it takes. But I don't think everyone starting out necessarily needs to worry about it, especially if it creates an obstacle to learning embroidery. :)

    I’m brand new at this. I tried something just on my own last night and although it did turn out- kinda, there was a lot of work and waisted thread. I downloaded a couple of patterns. My question is how do I get the pattern onto the cloth?

    • @iheartstitchart
      @iheartstitchart Před 2 měsíci

      I am planning to do a video about this soon! The simplest way is to print the pattern on paper and tape it over a bright light source (like a window) then put your fabric on top, tape in place, and trace. You can use a fine-tipped pen; there are water- and air-erasable versions or just any fine-tipped pen will work.

    Why is the reverse chain in the same hole but not the regular?

    • @iheartstitchart
      @iheartstitchart Před 2 měsíci

      Good question! Technically, you *can* use the same hole for regular chain stitch as well, but if you lose grip on your loop while trying to come up through it, the thread will pull right through. So for beginners I teach to go just beside. But technically you can do that if you prefer it! Hope that helps.
