The song...''Change Gonna Come''...to me, Meant a change was about to...COME...it did~ We rehearsed ''RUNS''...as if it was a Law~ Cora Martin, and street corner singing groups, the older singing groups, with Clyde McPhatter, then James Brown came along, then Johnny Morrissette, Johnny Taylor, Little Johnny Taylor...(some never knew there were 2), were around then in Los Angeles, where Sam was murdered, about a 15 minute drive from where I lived in our little city named...''WATTS''~ We visited that little 'MOTEL'...for weeks, and passed by it, every time we had to go in that direction. Actually, I met Sam at the 5'4...Ballroom, an upstairs night club, on 54th. St. and Broadway, where he was appearing. His wife Barbara...strangely enough, was with him! She stayed on stage all the time he was singing, and anybody who knew about those bright Lights, recognized the fact, that Wifey, was on heroin...she Nodded on stage, as he sang, and I Flirted!🥰... Those were happier times... We had a riot in Watts, in 1965...and the Eurasian woman...that was instrumental in Sam's death...was seen the following year...at what became an Annual Parade with festivities...she 'MADE'.. her way out of our Sight...she Simply disappeared...Wise Woman~ Be Blessed... We are the People of the...''TORAH''...📖...
