Did you do alot of note taking or did you buy some of the course notes or neither?
I did not buy any notes for A+, I took notes on my own. I did buy notes for Net+ and Security+ though.
I had 5 PBQs… and scored a 710 my first attempt. Painful is an understatement.
They give you two weeks to pass these exams in the military. Five weeks should be more than doable. Thats one week for every section of the exam but I highly recommend studying for two sections per week and the remaining weeks reviewing. For PBQ's definitely save them for the end if you can't answer them quickly. I typically would spend some time answering some of the PBQs partially during the first ten minutes of the exam, and the saving the harder PBQ for the end. That way I dont feel too much pressure when circling back to the PBQ's as they would be at least partially finished.
How did you get your hands on skills
Im 37 and I feel like ive wasted my life up to this point. Im an ex convict with criminal offenses that started when I was 15 years old and I put that life behind me over 10 years ago but my employment has been sporadic. just want to feel like my life has some purpose and I want to try to learn something useful to hopefully get me on track to a career,. I appreciate the tips you gave in this video.
I am going back to school this month in the summer for Computer Information systems at my local community college. I am also considering taking Google IT during the summer as well because I want to be marketable (before I’m 25 at least). Would that be recommended? Can I DM you on Instagram if you had one?
Jason Dion puts me to sleep...
I’m going backwards atm. I got my google cyber cert, passed security+ now. Now I want my network plus cuz it’s they look good together and it was seeing that “congratulations you passed” screen. I spent so much time studying and it was well worth it. Thanks for the tips pretty much did the same thing but for sec+
Hey Tim Thanks for the tips I’m really trying to reach my goal which is Passing my A+ and getting my Certification to go for Cyber security
Oh nice, you got it!
Hey Tim, great video and thanks for the advice. I have two CompTIA net 006 and the 008. One of them came with a dvd guide from Mike Myers. My question is on the test, did they have anything like Netsim or packet tracer? Please let me know, I’ve been studying and watching videos. I’ve been in the IT field for 5 years now. A friend of mine just failed the test for a second time and he’s taking the CompTIA course through his college. Any and all advice would be great
The more you cycle the information from your brain the easier it is to pass. Don't get intermediated is the best advice i can give.
what score did you get ??
hekko my name is Reggie I want to know what is the most important questions on the exams of Network +
I have to work fulltime so I could not pass it in 5 weeks. I studied in my spare time for 4 months and just barley passed today. 5 weeks if you are unemployed maybe.
What chair is that? Looks comfortable.
it is a secret labs chair, it is pretty comfortable!
Chatgpt is pretty helpful as well
Good work 🔥 if you don’t mind, how tall are you? My goal was 165lb at 5’9 but I thought that would still be pretty small. I always thought you were around 6’0
I’m 6’0. How much do you weigh currently?
@@TimothyNeubert prob 135lb-140lb now. I used to be 155lb but a whole slew of bad things happened at once. I might finally be recovering now
Did you ever get ur security +
Yes I have gotten it, I just have not made a video about it yet
Congrats man! I got my A+, Sec+, Google Cybersecurity, and isc2 CC, but think I wanna get the Net+ also. Thanks for this tips! My journey is gonna start soon!
have the certs help land a job?
bro is treating IT certs like pokemon trying to collect them all
What do you mean start journey soon? You haven't landed a job with all those certifications?
I will let you know of the outcome after the exam, thanks Tim.
No problem, you got it!
Thanks Tim
Well done! Maybe use a spotter for heavy lifts for safety just in case
Your kinda strong ngl
Abbie kinda thirsty ngl
😂
Your kinda cute not gonna lie
Oh, thanks😂
You should do before and after pics.
Love it!❤️
So nice!
Keep going tim! Don’t let the negative people slow you down. 3 plates before the years out!!!
Yeah for sure, thanks bro!
benchin on the squat rack
Yes sir, we’re creative😂
Make sure to get atleast 10 days of rest betweens maxes or else you wont fully recover and hit a new max. Eddie hall tried this after being stuck on the samw max for 2 years and finally starting hitting new pr's
Nice job!! I’m a lot bigger than him and I don’t think I could lift that. Then again I have no idea because I have not been to the gym in years.
Thanks! You should give the gym a go again!
💯
1. A guy I met at my HS reunion told me he currently works in IT and he sent me the link to Messer's playlist. Should I watch all his videos before I view other study resources or should I find other study guide topics such as notes related to the particular video I just watched? 2. I hardly have any background or experience with IT. I worked as a sound technician for a couple of weeks but was unfortunately let go. Many of these IT companies require a lot of experience so would having the certificate alone be enough to apply for It positions or are employers looking for other elements to add to that certificate? I did watch Messer's video on how to get a job in IT without experience and he brought up certain volunteer work but I think that would be hard to find. 3. Where is the link for the online exam?
Hello, Messer's video course is a great place to start and I would definitely go through it. It really depends on the job title, the job duties, the amount of experience that the employer wants... The Net+ cert on my resume has gotten me into interviews and some roles. Whether the employer wants to pursue you further depends on how the interview goes, so certs can only do so much for you. I don't think it should be very hard to get an entry level IT job with net+ under your belt though. Exam voucher link: store.comptia.org/comptia-network-n10-008-voucher/p/NET-008-TSTV-21-C
I've been working in IT for almost 2 years (help desk support - second company pays significantly better salary) and passed my Net+ the first try with only 5 days of studying.
Really ?? What resources did you use
@@kunalchaudhari6967 practice tests via udemy (both dion's course and 1 exam, as well as his 6 exam course). I also watched Professor Messers net+ playlist.
@@kunalchaudhari6967 Udemy (Dion Network+ Course + exam and Dion's 6 practice exam course; Michael Meyers Network+ course; Professor Messer Network+ CZcams Playlist)
Is it even worth to get network+ certified instead of ccna?
Hey, I know it's been a while since you posted this, but wondering-- what was your workflow like for studying? did you watch Messer and then go and watch Dion's videos on the same topics? Or did you really only use Dion for the practice questions? How many topics did you cover a day?
Hey , thanks for the advice , what camera are you using the quality is really nice !
Hey, thanks. I believe that was filmed on an iphone 13 pro max.
Hey man I know this is a long shot if you see this but I am trying to start in IT industry and wanted to start with A+ for some one who has little to none knowledge for anything it would you have any tips to start of. What do you think I should tackle first? Jason dion comptia a+ course on udemy first?
Hey! Yes, I think you should go for the A+ cert and go over the study resources I listed in my A+ video. You got this!
Is there a way to pass the exam in only 2 week of study ?
This just depends on how much prior knowledge you have and how much you are willing to study in a day
i'll try to do it after 5 days from now Thank You @@TimothyNeubert
Thanks for the tips! I'm hoping to get my Network+ this month.
I'll be honest... I watched Mike Meyers' Network plus, and found that it left A LOT of holes in my knowledge. The Network Plus was A LOT more advanced than any of the practice material I could find.
Dual monitor, can confirm this guy is a computer whiz or a hacker.

Good morning from Indonesia. Hello best friend. I really like your content. SUCH AN AWESOME TIPS. It's really impressive. Thank you for sharing a very good, interesting and inspiring video for all of us. Hopefully we can all be better, healthier, stronger, successful, happier and always under God's protection
@timothyNeubert It's been a year since your exam, Were you able to get a job solely based on this cert? Thank you
I did get an entry level job where I was remotely supporting field techs with network troubleshooting.
After completing Google IT Support Certificate, is that enough prior knowledge to study for Network+ certification and give the exam after prep? On the CompTIA and Coursera, it says that Google's IT support certificate and A+ are closely aligned.
Google IT support is.not a substitute for Comptia A+. It is recommended that you go in order A+ to Net+ to Sec+ but you can skip around. There is some overlap in information between the certifications and another benefit of going in order is that each one renews the previous certification
@josephgarceau6753 well said
Let’s go! Don’t ever quit!
If I start from 0, will I be able to pass?
You may want to look at completing your A+ first if you have no prior experience.
