With a lot of hard work from me and my brother and some huge favors and invaluable help from many amazing friends and family, we worked our buts off to make this film what it is. This video shows nearly all the scenes during the shoot and how we achieved the effects that we did. It was shot on a low qulaity camera but we are indebted to out 1st AD Tiago Inacio for shooting all of this footage f...

Seriously? Someone would buy a jigsaw without a picture on the front to match it? And he noticed that it showed an image of himself in the room only when he'd finished it? As with most supernatural horror, it makes not the slightest sense when you poke it even a bit.

Pretty cool 8 min vid. i wonder how these puzzles received the name "jigsaw"? Maybe they were originally made of wood cut into pieces by a jigsaw.

Back in the late 90's, there was a show on the Scifi channel at the time called Exposure. It was a show of short films. One episode featured a guy putting a puzzle together on his couch, and the puzzle was of him putting the puzzle together. There were some great shorts on that show.

I hate these damn short films and I just don't understand the point of them. Then at the same time I watched them only to torture myself with wanting more. Some of the best movie concepts and storylines are in short films. Evidently... I just love torturing myself over and over. Because I go in, knowing exactly how I'm going to feel when it's over and I'm just going to tease myself once again.😂

I remember hearing this story as a child. It never really made an impact and I thought it was a crap campfire story. However seeing it on screen was definitely intense. I was pretty sure going in I knew the story but it still gave me chills and anxiety to see it unfold. Excellent direction and execution.

that's such an impactful comment for us as we heard the campfire story as kids and it sent serious chills through us which was why we wanted to make the film. we always thought the story would naturally be better than the film so your experience means a lot to us and we're super happy you got that special freaked out feeling ;) Thanks for watching!

A bit confused by all the praise here. A very hackneyed idea done in a rather obvious way. Was hoping for a lot more. Why is he so insistent on buying the jigsaw in the first place? There is no premise. No sense of who this man is. And he didn't notice that he was doing a puzzle of himself until it was done? Definitely needed a stronger build there - moments showing how he is starting to discover something strange about the jigsaw. The moment he sees himself is absent, a throwaway moment of him running to throw up. Opportunities missed. The main actor was clearly chosen for his fabulous beard and hair, but has one expression through the whole thing. The shopkeeper is far too hammy. Having said all that the cinematography and editing is decent and it is a fine little film as a graduate project, say, but the way the title hypes it and all those awards (who judges this stuff - what was the competition?) makes it seem like it should be something far more gripping and slick.

use to work in group homes for mentally retarded - there was this one guy - would sit him in garage on the weekends and put out a thousand piece puzzle - mix all the pieces up for him and he would put it together in 4 or 5 hours - only thing - that was scary - he would get agitated if you showed him the picture - he wanted it upside down so there was no picture and he would put it together just by looking at the back side of the pieces.

@@rashadal-safar1931 I might have worded my comment above a little strangely. I meant there's another version of the story, but in my opinion, it's not as well done as your film. I think your version of the story is a lot more effective than other version I linked. You built up more of a backstory which I thought was nicely done and served the story. The other film was effective as well, but for one, I enjoyed seeing how the puzzle was acquired rather than joining the story midstream. The location was more cinematic for me. You guys did a great job.
