I like the Wampler Moxie the best
Would be nice to know which does well with acoustic… i just want “boost” to my playing when songs require softer strumming for the right sound, and i’m afraid it will sound too much different than the guitar does…?
Sounds confusing now that i read it…. I guess i fear the amp will sound like a little tiny walmart guitar playing in unison with my full size dreadnaught… lol
I think the Pogolab is best tone and will work well with cleans and louder
Looks like the 1959hw has greenbacks and the jcm800 has v30s. The difference in sound seems more due to the speakers than the amps to me. Greenbacks sound totally different as they are a lower wattage headroom speaker.
each head favors the certain cab I think
In my opinion, the brown sugar pedal, sounds more like a Classic 70’s plexi, more mids and more low end… and the jcm800 is obvious the 800 sounding… just like 80s 90’s modern hard rock and metal, modern sounding… sounds more tight and scooped, both are great!
Yeh if you want the 2 channel jcm 800 sound which is more solid state sounding there are pedals for that, this pedal is more plexi / bluesbreaker
Can it be used with pedals?
Yes
What’s the eq set on the plexi? I’m considering getting one so I know it’s one of those amps that you have to wrestle a solid tone out of so I’m just curious! Tones are excellent!
Usually everything at 5 and bass less around 2
Great comparison. There is a big public misconception that “Fenders are mid scooped and Marshall’s are midrange boosted”, when in fact both amps have a scoop in their mids. The difference is that the Fender’s scoop is deeper and centred more around 500Hz, and the Marshall’s scoop is centred around 700Hz. The Marshall’s curve also shelves off bass progressively below 100Hz, whereas the Fender’s does not.

Best buy on the planet….has a really nice clean channel, as well. Great demo!

Hey im new to guitar here and was wondering if its even possible to plug a pedal into mini amps. If yes then is it possible to plug one in, in this pogolab amp? Thank you!
Yes pedals will work with these amps.
Great demo man!! Excellent

I partially agree with the posters who say you should've a/b'd with an MG100DFX, through a 4x12 cabinet. But then, you're trying to see how close the SS combo can get. I also agree with your statement that the MG should be used for low-level gigs and practice. People saying it matches up totally against a doggone JCM800 are kookoo for cocoa puffs! 😂
Thanks for watching
@@HollywoodRareGuitars 🙏
This sounds sick. I’m running mine into my el 34 amp and it doesn’t sound that great I don’t know why
Thanks. Thanks for subscribing if you are now!
Each amp has earned it's highly coveted place in both blues and rock n roll history, but for what is being played, my ears prefer the Fender.
Yeah depends on the guitar and style. Thanks for subscribing if you are now!
All the Marshall 4x12's definetly have certain qualities and seem to work differently with different heads. Question is "if you could only have one which would it be" ?
1960BX greenbacks
Brown sugar and ge7. the sum becomes better and more versatile
yeah the brown sugar at 18v is special
Awesome skills. A telecaster through a JCM800 is simply the best tone of all time.

The Charvel wins imo. Ash sounds better with a hb'er than alder or poplar (I'm pretty sure that Fender is one of those/alder or poplar). I think the neck single coil sounds better in the Fender though. I think that the Henrik Charvel would be even better if it had a Duncan classic hotstack single in the neck and a Duncan Custom Custom as compared to whats in it ( Duncan JB/ Dimarzio Area '67). I also think that a non recessed (cavity) for the Floyd is the way to go for more tone and punch ( I believe that particular Henrik is non recessed top loaded ?) One more thing, the German OFR is the BEST double locking unit on the planet, so there is another little switcheroo that would make an AWESOME sounding guitar even better (not a fan of the Korean made Floyds). One more thing, awesome tone and playing bro 🤘
I prefer the Fender, the Charvel is gone
I would use both at the same time haha
Yeah! Thanks for subscribing if you are now!
KIller player and the best sounding demo I've heard yet. Just bought the same version and am waiting it's arrival.
@@IamtheActionman thanks! I teach lessons online if ever interested
this was EQd I assume?
A little bit, thanks for subscribing if you are now!
what cab and speakers were you plugged in?
Marshall 1960bv a few years old with stock g12 vintage speakers in it
The original has a “Barky” or a sound in the high end that sounds like a cat screeching, i personally prefer the reissue. Seems to do the metal thing better for my personal tastes
Thanks for subscribing if you are now!
Joe Walsh dug the super reverbs back in the day with a les paul.... I get it! 🤘🎸

Great sound👍 Wonder if Jeff Beck was fond of compressors? I'm asking myself because trying to build a 5 essential pedalboard, and compression keeps coming in and out in my final decision
thanks for subscribing if you are now!
The heritage is definitely for someone after that Van Halen 1 tone, the BX is for someone who really likes the classic 80s Marshall sound, like a George Lynch style tone, and the BV is for metal heads like me who want a Marshall 😂

@@HollywoodRareGuitars no worries man!! I’ve been looking into the Marshall DSL 100 lately and this channel came up on my radar 😂😂 keep up the amazing work man!!

Is it better than orange mini crush?
not sure.thanks for subscribing if you are now!
My TS10 never sounded like that at all. I got rid of mine years ago because it didn't do anything. The more TS10 videos I see, the more I realize I probably bought mine Broken...brand new. I never realized because I never knew anyone who had one. I bought mine new in, like, 1992. Oh well. It's someone else's problem now.

The Friedman JEL 50 Watt's will be out soon.
That would be cool, but they have a 20 watt
@@HollywoodRareGuitars I already have the Friedman JEL 20 Watt one with two cab's.
What channel and settings are you using? Sounds very plexi !!
Channel 2 of 3. It's like a JCM 800 a lot with a little plexi vibe too
I like the Marshall better. It sounds bigger and more natural.
both are great
ah yeah.
Thanks for watching!
I play metal blues through my Marshall 😊
me too
hi-this is a super rever reissue? great tone!
yes 2020 or so. Thanks for watching
I didn’t hear one bad sound. That’s a great amp.
thanks lots more videos of this, please subscribe
Sounds great! Your playing is killer. I have a 100 watt Marshall style built by a builder in nashville with a Marshall 4x12 cab. It does beautiful plexi style cleans and crunch but stops just short of JCM 800 rudeness hoping can kick it up notch to there. It has a master volume and cascading gain stages available so it’s not far off!
thanks I have a bunch of videos of this
Both sound incredible and I think I prefer the Friedman by just a tiny bit, but if you're playing in a band with bass, drums, keys, vocals and maybe even another guitarist, all competing for space in the mix, 99.99% of the people in the audience wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two. Your bandmates probably wouldn't notice either, and your lead singer would just be telling you to turn it down no matter what amp you had.🤣
my favorite is the jake e le jel 100, look for my videos of that one
do you think that the scuru s3 is same with this pogolab?
not sure
controls looks identical.. im expecting that this is like the joyo 1 that is same like a lekato.. pogolab unavailable in my country
@@MOMMYELVIE18 oh ok
@HollywoodRareGuitars did you do the NOS MN3005 chips or the Chinese? - and how many did you have to buy?
these are the mn3005 chips that came with the pedal
Which kit did you use for the PPIV? Or which Pot out of these-1 meg duel potentiometer, 250k, 500k, or 2.2 meg?
Not sure I took it to a tech

I just ordered the Mr Scary for my 2203… Can‘t wait 💪
Nice did you double check the correct version for your amp? Is it vintage or reissue 2203x?
@@HollywoodRareGuitars It’s a Reissue 2203 - so I ordered the reverse wired one. I also had a quick chat with David, so everything is correct.
Ordered one after this to compare with my Lekato S4. The S4 has no delay but does have a separate OD section with gain, vol, and tone. Its clean just has volume only. It only has one speaker but has a passive radiator on the backside. It also has bluetooth. I also have the original Blackstar Fly3 which seems oddly similar. The new Fly3 is now usb-c rechargeable with bluetooth as well. The Lekato Unique seems to cover all the same bases as the Fly3 [minus the ext. speaker out] for less money. The Lekato does already have two speakers though.
My favorite is the pogolab, check out that review
What mods have been done to it?
Master volume
@@HollywoodRareGuitarsonly ppimv?
@@dawidnpl mr scary mod is in there but just a touch of gain to tighten the bass
No pedals needed but it's a great pedal platform as well
Thats true
What the f* is that ugly thing?
Great amp! 👍
Thanks for watching
the 'JuMPman' amp
Thanks for watching
Nice!!! I love mine ( my added master volume allows me to crank it without being evicted!!) enjoy yours, you sound great!!
Yeah it actually adds more gain than turning it up to 10. I made a video of my plexi on 10 before the mod. It was crazy loud
I think the BV is the winner, here!
Certain cabs match with certain amps, jcm 800 and bv are perfect. Plexi and bx are perfect
