Kubota L2501 DIY rear remote installation
Added a DIY two spool valve remote for a top tilt hydraulic cylinder on my L2501 Kubota tractor.
Below is the parts list from surpluscenter.com (With the exception of the hydraulic cylinder). I can build a kit for you using my mounting plate and mail it out to you ready to install. You would just need to drill two holes to mount the valve where I mounted mine. Contact me at joe@klugekustomdesigns.com.

    Did the power beyond plug come with the valve or was that a separate purchase?

    Great video thanks - have a Kubota L2404DT that needs remotes plumbed from the loader…..

    No sealant required on both types of the fittings you are using just oil to help tighten them - one is a compression flare the other utilises an o ring.

    I have the same Load Trail dump trailer 8' X 16'. I also purchased the same remote as you but after a short while it broke. So I went to Harbor Freight and purchased their remote. Works awesome! I would suggest that you install an on/off switch on the positive wire of the remote module because it is still drawing power in standby mode waiting for the radio signal from the remote.

    You’re going to end up changing the seals. I guarantee it.

    What happens when you push up on the wired remote and down on the wireless at the same time?

      @@klugekustomdesigns if you use relays instead of diodes, you could use the normally closed contacts as an interlock to prevent both solenoids from energizing at the same time. I think that's why the factory receivers are $300. Bench testing the winch receiver it will actually let you push both up and down at the same time.

      If you install wireless remote, why even have the hard wire remote hooked up. only need hard wire if there is problem with wireless

    You did a very good job of explaining this on your Kubota. I wish you were doing it on a 5145 Mahindra with FEL. I am installing a Prince model MB21GB5C1 valve so I can operate a ditch bank flail mower to the 5145 Mahindra. I do not know where to connect the inlet & outlet lines. Keep up the good videos.

    Anyone doing this needs to know that the wireless receiver has a constant current draw and will drain your battery if you don't put in some sort of cut of switch on the hot wire to the wireless receiver. I did a 300 amp Blue Sea battery cut off switch that disconnects all power to everything except for the DC to DC charger from the truck and Solar input charger to the battery.

    After 3,000 hours, I finally checked front axle oil level. There was no oil in the axle-differential, but each hub contained about a quart of oil on each side. If you fill only at the dipstick port, each hub takes time to fill, hence when the dealer prepares a new machine, the axle-differential will be empty after use. The hubs will be full.

    The oil doesnt heat up in the axel.Your not traveling at 60 mph.

    • @klugekustomdesigns
      @klugekustomdesigns Před 3 lety

      Of course it heats up. There are metal moving parts in the axel that cause friction. Thats why it requires fluid to begin with. Fairly basic mechanics there. Im gonna go ahead and get temp readings before and after for you.

    • @peterwill3699
      @peterwill3699 Před 3 lety

      I dont think it would heat up anymore then 10 degress above the ambient temperature .Especially in cold weather. Its not a transmission.

    • @klugekustomdesigns
      @klugekustomdesigns Před 3 lety

      I agree it will not be much of a temp difference Peter. I have also seen people replace the breather with an open vent so who knows. Either way it has worked for me.

    • @ya472
      @ya472 Před rokem

      It is not about temperature change during use, it is ambient temperature change, even overnight, can be 50 degree variation. If the front axle is not vented, air pressure change will force oil past the seals, or somewhere.

  • @lacostaspermaculturefarm869

    Did you fill with the airlocks tight wont that trap air and not allow to fill full with the new gear oil ? Thanks

    • @klugekustomdesigns
      @klugekustomdesigns Před 3 lety

      No its just like a vehicle, you fill to the indicator on the dipstick.
