I was wondering where you've disappeared to after not seeing anything for years on Big Al's, latest video on it is 5years ago. Finally found out that you have your own channel, but no posts here past 4 years either. Life gets busy & people do change things they usually used to do. Just wanted to say that me and many other viewers miss your ever so amazing personality, voice & knowledge, watching your videos on aquariums & fishkeeping. You deserve your own TV show about this hobby. I absolutely used to love watching every Big Al's video you posted back then. Watching videos of Mr.Takashi Amano, James Findley, George Farmer, Green Aqua, King of DIY Joey and Big Al's (Thomas) I loved watching videos by all these people. You & all of them have been a huge influence on me and it's what got me into this hobby and I'm grateful for the knowledge you all have imparted on me and many more beginners. Miss you & your videos Bro Thomas! Hope you're doing amazing & I'll end this the way you always did... Keep On Tankin!

Hi there! Thanks for the video! I bought a used 280 liters fish tank, with sand, plants and lot of other internal accessories. I'm going to clean and disinfect the tank and everything before running the tank because I don't know if it was infected or smth. Do I need to disinfect sand as well or it's better to not use it at all? If so how do I do that?

I just lost my goldfish now and i am so sad, I've tried to revive by giving more oxygen but didn't work anymore,i am too late, i am crying while i am reviving her 😢😢😢

Hey mate just wondering how you found the light over the long term, i currently run two of these but the x120 on a five foot tank, these have a chip you can replace to upgrade them with some amazing software that this company has now produced, that allow geo lock to reefs allover the world.

I just want to say thank you so much because I watched your video, I saved my Malawi blue liquid who I've had for 2 years. He jumped out of the tank and the cats. I guess surrounded him. Thank God my husband was right there but I did as you said. Put him in the flow and what do you know He is back to life. He has a little bit of claw marks on his side from the cats but so far so good. He ate but if it wasn't for your video I would have never known. I would have just let him sunk to the bottom like he did like a rock not moving. Thank you

Any tips on cleaning inside glass of brand new tank??.....lots of fingerprints and glue residue from the advertisement sticker. I just want to use something fish safe since it's on the inside. Thanks and great channel.

Can I use full strength cleaning vinegar on stubborn lime scale? I have standard vinegar but it doesn’t seem to be cutting it. Somehow it got on the lids of the tank I’m working on

nice cleaning up. Don't know why chlorine is so overly used. It doesn't melt anything. Over many hours it CAN kill mold etc, but you still have to manually scrub it off - so why even use chlorine to begin with? It takes nothing to kill off all your fish, a single drop of this will do it. It doesn't easily rinse off. I would never use this to clean anything.

I found my kuhli loach on the ground and i am pretty sad because there is only 3 loach i order and one died during delivery and the other was fine for 20 minute but after an hour or so i found one of my is on the ground, then i quickly put her inside the tank facing airstone hoping she will comeback or else the loach inside my tank will stress and scared living alone :(

This video is excellent! I just scored a 90 gallon aquarium (and unfortunately, a trip to urgent care for my husband when the lid bit him - NOT ANYONE’S FAULT!) from a group on facebook. Your reminders on how to clean it are much appreciated.😊

Hay Thomas, I’ve been using the Blaze X five foot fixture for 3 years. I have no complaints and I have a mixed reef that is growing everything. Do you have an update on your experience?
