Introduction and Q&A
This video represents a lot of things. I found a studio space to start making CZcams videos. This video is an opportunity to try outa new studio space and play around with some of the gear that's available here. I hoping that this video also signifies the beginning of a regularly scheduled CZcams series. I haven't been good about keeping up with posting. But I think that this studio space will reduce the barrier to creating. Lastly, I just wanted to thank all of you for your support. it means a lot to me. And I want to work hard to bring you more videos! I promise I won't stop!

I still remember you taking out the Nikon F2 and making black and white photos with your mom. Great days! You’re awesome and inspirational to make me want to post my work.
You are an absolute gem and I hugely appreciate the content you create! As everyone has said, your energy is infectious and your videos should fully embed this. I'm not sure the "formal" studio space best reflects who you are. The candid, informal approach is fantastic! A specific note is the recording looks like it was shot on a longer focal length whereas your previous work was done on a wider angle with you closer to the camera - this might help create that personal feel? I agree with your approach to finding an efficient process that removes the awkwardness of public recording but maybe changing the format of how you shoot long-form videos would be better. Heck, imagine you do a "let's sit on a sofa, drink some coffee and talk about photography" whilst you develop a roll or two in the coffee XD #CoffeeWithLevi I don't want this to be perceived as bad. I would like to give honest feedback that will hopefully give you something to work off of. Keep up the amazing work and I look forward to seeing more great content! If you're ever in Joburg, South Africa let me know!
Ok, i have to tell you. Your long videos are incredibles, i need more of this instead shorts (still like them, but youtube is the wayyyy)
Pd, i started to shoot film because obviously my grampa had a Canon AE1 in a box. I didnt have the money for a digital... until now, but yes, the analogic process caught me too (im from Argentina, i dont know if im writing real words, so forgive me if it is the case)

Love your outdoor vids, but yeah having affordable and flexible studio space will be a game changer for you. This isn’t meant to sound weird or mean but I hope you don’t get too comfortable in studio, because your enthusiasm in new places is so damn infectious. Very best wishes to you
That makes sense! I already miss being outside. I loved having cool settings around me. But it took too much time and work to make those videos happen. And the fear of creating in front of people who were watching became a barrier to creating. I will certainly have segments where I go outside to create some of my videos. But the studio really helps me to let loose and just create without thinking.

Make sure your top lens is on the same focal plane as the bottom lens. Let a tech check it and adjust accordingly. It’s common for these old TLRs to have the top lens seated too far forward or back even just a little bit from previous folks messing with it.

Your phone finds the perfect angle for the perfect photo. You do nothing to improve it. This guy, on the other hand, has to spend time finding, imagining, and seeing how the photo would like. But yeah, you can play with your toy.
This is uploaded to CZcams at fixed resolution meaning you lose a lot of the detail film provides that your phone doesn’t. Your phone has no film grain and even if you had an app that added it, the grain would be an imitation. There is no unique colour profile except for some filters you could add. You don’t have to expose the photo, you don’t have to do anything at all really your phone does it for you. It’s like looking at the Mona Lisa and deciding it’s stupid because all paintings are made of paint anyway.
