Favourite sequence in the movie
Looking forward to the IMAX re-release of this movie one day
the complete cut in soundtrack then the subtle fade in when the jets leave the carries is just so good
Attack on sovereign nation has been initiated.
0:50 if I would've gone deaf when this happened in the theater when I saw it 3 times, I wouldn't have been mad
Multi million dollar mission right here ✈️
What is also not shown in this clip is right before, Rooster and Mav briefly talk after Mav selects him for the mission, much to Rooster’s surprise. Mav first tells him “We will talk when we get back” implying that he will explain everything he once promised to keep a secret about why he pulled his admission papers for Annapolis. As Rooster begins to walk away, Mav grabs his attention one last time shouting “Bradley, hey Bradley, you got this” This line has massive impact and implications because Mav addresses him by his real first name, not Rooster, not Lt Bradshaw. This is important because it means he is speaking to him as a friend, and as a father figure. The movie goes out of its way to show hints that Rooster never blamed Mav for his father’s death. Mav has pictures in his locker of Bradley growing up, implying he had been apart of his life the whole time. The tension they have is a recent, adult experience. So, even after the tension boils over, Mav, and by extension Goose, instills one last bit of confidence in Rooster, by saying “You got this”.
No turning back now
As a retired Surface Navy Sailor seeing those Tomahawks launched, I was awestruck. But it does raise a question. Why couldn’t they have used Tomahawks to take out the target?
Comanche's call back was straight on the ball.
I love this movie!!! It's fucking great💪💪💪
This would have been the greatest trailer of all time if it ended just the way this video did. Truly captivating
3:16. Brings a joyful tear to my eye

Everything about this. The prep in the beginning. Dagger 1 with the takeoff. Strike package ready and the launch decision. Enemy territory up ahead. Dagger attack. Tomahawks airborne. No turning back now. And the final "GOING IN." Best scene of the entire 2022.
🎉115 Mission chomos Gost rider ready
Who knows the radar’s girl name? Who is the actress?
This scene hits hella different after Navy and RAF jets smoked half of Yemen this week. Coincidence that they announce Top Gun 3 is being written on the same day? I think not.
The first 30 seconds of this scene does such a great job at setting the tone. The expressions on their faces, the music, even the body language of Phoenix as she gives the “engine start” signal. No Hollywood false bravado or hype, just a group of professionals mentally preparing themselves for a mission. So good.
Thank you for this ❤
There's probably only a handful of more exhilarating experiences in life other than taking off in an FA-18 Super Hornet from an aircraft carrier catapult....zero to 160+ mph in under 2 seconds.
0:52 what did he say?please teach me spelling 😅
When he ses SEND! And the engine start to Burn gave me chills!
Star wars
I’m sure china and other foes around the world get chills watching this scene. US air superiority will last until the sun burns out. And everyone knows it.

I will bag em' and you tag em' . Bwaaaahhhaaaaa
We need three cyclic self-updating atomic clocks for this. . . I never knew they would show this in movie.
I’ve been wondering….What does Mav hold on to and then release after he leaves? He reaches up and grabs a bar/handle (not sure what), and then lets it go after launch
The pilots have nothing to do with the launch of the f18 from the carrier and could actually screw things up very badly if they touch or have their right hand on the joystick. The deck crew is in charge of the launch and the launch boss will refuse to launch the aircraft unless he has a clear line of sight of the pilots right hand holding the grab handle. Thats what maverick holds and let's go of in the movie. Just another detail that adds more realism to the movie.

Loved the scene and the movie, but then you remember we got billion dollar stealth bombers that could have just made that crater a lot deeper.
Couldn’t they have used Tomahawks to destroy the unsanctioned uranium enrichment facility ?
The enemy Sam targets would’ve destroyed it and the Tomahawks don’t have the maneuverability like a Jet
Couldn't those tomahawk missiles hit the target?
The facility is way down below, the tomahawks don't have the power to go that deep or the precision to hit that small opening for the vent.
Hangman should have been in tve air as decoy for those su 57s
