The Caran d Ache Full Blender, the all white woodless blender is magical.

Amazon prices are like the stock market, they go up and down on a regular basis.

I purchased mine on eBay marketplace. One has to be careful though….just remember never to pay with a medium that doesn’t refund you if it’s a scam. I was lucky to purchase both the Polychromos and the Pablos from the same seller at about 50% less than the Amazon price. I watched the seller’s goods for quite some time….I also managed to get him to pay the shipping as my discount and it’s never a problem. But I was lucky. I have had other experiences with scammers. Just be careful because these crooks always want to have PayPal friend as payment or bank transfers. When I say no way, the deal is over, I have learnt my lessons, very expensive lessons, but I believe in Karma.

Holbeins have worked for me in Kerby Rosanes books. I love how I get vibrant pigment without the waxy buildup. So far it's the only books I've used these pencils in. Thanks for sharing! ❤

I've used micron waterproof pens and I was also used pencils and other pants and they always smear when I paint or seal

I heard they do like toothier paper and some people say more layering instead of blending ( others say opposite!). I hear so many different things! It’s really interesting to hear. Does this book have slot of bleedthrough with water?

I just got this book and I was considering doing watercolor or alcohol ink markers. This was sooo fun to watch.

The F on graphite pencils stands for "Fine." It sits between HB and H on the Graphite Hardness Scale.

Love your coloring books

I realize this video is older but if anyone else stumbles on it… I know in the description she says that the paper doesn’t get along great with watercolor paints. What I will say is that I have found a lot of success using Korean or other Asian brand watercolors that are semi moist or are “gummy” and using them in a way that is different than I normally use them. I don’t do washes, I use very little water and I more or less draw with paint like one might with ink. I’ve watched a lot of Korean colorists use this method and these paints in this book and others with much thinner paper. I use Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors, Holbein watercolors, Paul Ruben and Super Vision watercolors. And I use super soft natural hair brushes. Or watercolor pencils. That’s why has worked with me although the paper is pulpit so oversaturating it or scrubbing at it won’t help at all. I hope it’s helps someone!

What kind of paint are you using?

Another great idea is to use watercolor ground. You paint it onto any paper the night before you're ready to paint on it. It will provide a nice durable surface to use any kind of media! (Not sure about alcohol markers though...they may still bleed through and the surface wouldn't be smooth enough to be enjoyable).
