Some viewers in a relatively small overlap service area of East Sussex could receive signals from both these transmitters. This is a recreation...

My neighbour, who is a keen angler, has seen this film originally shot by Southern Television probably for the series Kite's Country, and notwithstanding it lacks any sound track, has suggested it would benefit from a wider audience especially those who are admirers of the late Oliver Kite and enjoy his existing films that can be found elsewhere on You Tube. So for the benefit of those who enjo...

Lovely to see Harry Seacombe.
I always loved the door bell ringing at the start while the ladies talked. Always imagined that it was someone they didn’t want to join them and they were ignoring the door bell.
Lol haha playing with the supermarket and the big yelllow tea pot
@ 0:40. I’m laughing to pieces. Did that posh woman say ‘it was pathetic to see him’ in relation to her injured son trying to eat a waffle? It’s less ‘House Party’ and more ‘Cat House’
I ant watch this without thinking of the Buggernation Street Johnny Monroe version.
All that was missing was the Southern logo superimposed over the start.
Used to love watch this in the 70s with my mum when not in school
Cliff Michelmore was a caulkhead he was born in cowes 11 December 1919
Brian Nissen, Fred Dineage, Jack Hargreaves
Keep em peeled RIP Shaw Taylor i say that to my dog every day when I take him for walkies i miss the 70ths
This is excellent! Thanks for sharing. 🤩✨✨✨

I read English Language and Literature at UCL 1977-1980 with Jane. She got an upper second.
Where today we have Loose Women, in the seventies and early eighties we had relatively prim and proper women!!
That show would have been much better if BC was interviewing the guest
While Jeans demolishing that garage extension Gloria will be preforming open heart surgery with a lovely lady from the re cross. 😂
Hannah looks hawt.
The 1990 Broadcasting Act was a disaster with a barmy bidding system that was a silly way of choosing who gets the prize and who crashes and burns.
THIS programme leaves Loose Women trailing in the dust...No one dropping their H's for a start.
And Central TV only paid £2,000 for it's franchise!
My university in the US uses the Portsmouth hornpipe (starts around 1:28) as the tune for its fight song.
Amazing the outside pictures on the Southern News and Weather were in film style.
Oh my goodness!!!
Brilliant!!
I think Southern produced excellent programmes for the ITV network.....Houseparty was broadcast during the afternoon & knew it's audience for that time of day as did Worzel Gummidge on Saturday afternoons!
You can stand in that same spot at Corfe Castle today and see nothing has changed.
People watched this dribble. Four woman looking and talking about there dogs. There sex lives couldn't have been that good then 😂😂😂
I like the look of her without the extended bunker. If only they would do that today, maybe paint her in Drummond green and have a gala at Swanage with the T3.
at work today I remembered this from when i was a kid and right now it is in my recomended list .. how odd .
For the first 50" of this show I thought she was talking about a new bloke!
And segwey from Billy Ocean when the going gets tough, to drugs, abortion, god. Subtle. . I miss Anglia TV. Properly regional but international too
I mainly remember this on Thursdays, just before 7. Watching this and then switching over to the Beeb for TOTP, the unofficial start to the weekend, as Fridays at school was just a case of counting down the ideas.

What a vacuous group of non entities!
I love how they unpacked the crate of food they were supposed to be gifting to someone else :)
Very much Stockbridge or Winchester villages ladies. Lovely.
8:00pm one of my favourite Avengers episodes!
Only Mary Morris could pronounce "hamper" as "hemper!"
I love the episode where she questions another woman as to whether she has a quince tree in her garden and then the surprise that she hadn't.
I say amper
Watched this avidly as a boy. No wonder I ended up gay!
This must be very rare footage.
Well spoken. None of the slang.
Great to see ITV credits for Christmas so many brilliant shows what a pity Christmas on ITV these days are so poor 😡😡
i wanted to see how the Soufflet came out !
THEY DID THIS BEFORE MERIDIAN?!
Lots of women talking blabbering crap
no-one made you watch.
@andymerrett how do you know, I was forced to watch many things including lots of women talking blabbering crap.
The studio for the South Mid-Day bulletin was so small that the camera was in the corridor outside, shooting through a hole in the door.
