It's not the education system that failed Sarah Palin, it's the fact she has no real desire to learn and her stubborn refusal to change or accept responsibility for herself. Sarah's one true talent is being able to read a person (or group of people) and tell them exactly what they want to hear. That's how she's able to connect to the middle-income class and stay at home moms who at the time felt largely voiceless. In the movie we see Sarah constantly writing things down and taking notes but we rarely see her actually STUDY and prep. She normally has to be forced to do this by her aids and advisors. That's because Sarah knows that people want to see her study and she puts on a show for it (as in writing down notes etc) and be a good sport about studying, but she doesn't actually want to do the work into studying.

Only time I've seen this film I was a teenager. Still had my gut ripped out watching this scene back then. I'm a parent now and the thought of kid ever being in this danger fills me with nausea and rage. What I'd like to know is when they filmed the vhs scenes if the kids were OK. They seem so upset

I have my issues with this movie. It's personally my least favorite of the vengeance trilogy but the last 20ish minutes of this film starting with this scene is among the best 20 minute stretches I've ever seen in a movie. It truly hits every emotion. It's gruesome, satisfying, revolting, tragic and unexpectedly hilarious in all the right places and leaves off on the perfect hauntingly ambiguous ending that brings the story full circle.

Wow. That’s gotta be hard to swallow for any parent. To think that CZcamsrs like @AGirlAndAGame & @JazzyGuns actually support for criminals that separate & annihilate kids from families, seeing innocent people sent to jail to be broken apart, all while advocating for the real criminals walk free to continue their onslaught. If anyone of you likes foreign films, I highly recommend you watch Park Chan-Wook’s “The Vengeance Trilogy”. Each film is amazingly unique in its entirety. The stories are crazy and complex, but also very well thought out. For me, foreign films are always a diamond in the rough. You never know when you’re gonna find a gem. I’ve seen all three and I can honestly say I don’t regret watching for a second.
