I fry and brown them in oil, blend some of them and then cook a creamy vegan risotto with other mushrooms (made with almond milk).

Found about 3 pounds today about 12 pounds for the yr so fari ageee simple is better i use about the same recipe but use more pepper and garlic powder got some battered and frozen to enjoy later in the yr but nothing like fresh ones!

Yes it can. I use butter often actually.

Don't take chances, hope you went to the ER, i got bit by one and didn't feel it, i ended up losing a toe on my right foot from the bite
No, I didn't go to the doctor, I just kept an eye on it. I didn't have a bad reaction to the bite. Some slight swelling for a few days is all I had.
Dave - try taking some refined lard taken from berkshire pigs raised by good folk in idyllic situations and give it a fry try. I love the butter, but I've found if I fry it with a lot of butter and flower, I can get it pretty close to tasting like other mushrooms. That refined lard masks less of the flavor of the morel. Might be if you take a touch of ghee and add into the lard . . . I might try that too. Happy I found your channel!

I saw one of my yard yesterday, and it was at least 2 ft long it was a pretty little thing it tried to bite me but it didn't get me it just scared me when I try to bite me

I have caught a few of these snakes and released them far from people. I have neighbors that are afraid of snakes and would kill them. Now, they call me and I catch them and take them away where they won’t be killed by mowers, weed eaters or shovels. I would love to have those hanging around my yard, I absolutely hate mice! Great video!
Good for you for safely relocating these valuable reptiles. I have relocated many snakes from other folks homes myself. Rat snakes are more than welcome at my house. Mice and rats are not. Thanks for the comment 👍

I’m totally not opposed to hunting, but for me personally, I would have a hard time taking one of those animal’s lives. I know it’s better than factory farming, but just for me personally

Thanks, Andy! The spider bite is fine. Other than a little redness at the bite area the first evening, I didn't have any adverse effects from it.

Their are several ways that people prepare them. My favorite way is to slice them in half, batter them, and fry them in butter. Served with mashed potatoes.

Other than some redness at the bite area the first day, I suffered no effect. I am certainly not complaining for sure.
I don’t think they stop musking when they calm down. More like they run out of poo lol. I miss catching snakes (big critter fan since childhood)
One thing you are doing is putting them out where the ticks are. They will grow in your yard. I have good luck around my apple trees.
I put some of it out in areas of my yard as well. So far, there have been no results yet.
Keep a close watch on it. That bite can get nasty.
Sorry Dave! I’m sure you have done your research on those bites. You get that taken care of my friend. We don’t want necrosis on the guitar finger!
