We have been using these for 35 years, great gifts, all my daughters & extended families enjoy the V slicer❣️ Vital kitchen tool!!!! Great tutorial! Thank you. Ps: A tiny suggestion would be to stop the extra slicing & kitchen sounds not made by the professional presenter. These extra sounds create an unexplained & unnecessary distraction. Food 🥦🥒for thought😊
Thanks heaps, it was like a jigsaw puzzle on receiving this. Great job presentation & use of the V5 Borner
I still have the original white set and it's still razor sharp! One of the best products I've ever had.
He did an excellent job of demonstrating and explaining. The photography however needs work. Most of the time when he was explaining and demonstrating how to attach, etc, the camera was on his face, not on the tool.
I've got the original orange one which comes with 3 inserts and the slicing guard. took me some time to master, but have been using it for years. cabbage shreds like a dream. Amazing piece of kit.
The video would be 100% better if the camera showed the slicer or hand movement when you talked about it
Assembly and disassembly, button on side- all nonsmooth actions- cumbersome- nothing seems to fit well/smoothly. All imprints hard to read on unit- lots of arrows. Food pusher better than most w little waste. He should not demo without safety glove-
Thanks for sharing but the camera operator focused too much on your face which caused us to miss too much of what was going on with the slicer.
Is it available in stores in Canada
A product so good it sells itself! But Tim the guy presenting it is the power behind it I remember seeing him with this product at an agricultural show nearly thirty years ago it was then just called the V slicer, it just walked off the shelves he makes it look so easy and fun to use! Which it is. Great tool great salesman 👍
22 years and I still use it. The best slicer
Why do you show us ALL THE FREAKING time his face instead of what he's describing?! Jesus F. Christ...!
I wish the camera was more on the equipment than the presenter. He keeps saying "this" and "that" and one has to wait for a glimpse of what he's referring to. It could have either been more equipment focused or wider angle to capture both.
Wow thank you for the dicing tip !!
What is the name of this mandolin
my wife got a mandolin slicer and it is junk. we wanted to cut french fries and it doesn't do that. the cuts get stuck in the blade and won't fall. it's going back to find a better one.
I bought my first one around 40 years ago after watching a demo in a shopping centre. I have never been without one since. I'm so afraid of being without mine that I bought another as a spare. I use it very often as I dehydrate surplus fruit and veg which needs slicing thinly. I make coleslaw on a weekly basis. Not the thin vinegary supermarket stuff, but thick, creamy stuff, with more of the stuff I like (onion). I make one big bowlful, then split it into 3 or 4 and make variation. I add sultanas and curry powder to make Coronation coleslaw, Make coleslaw from red cabbage and add slices almonds, or add pineapple chunks, celery and apple with a bit of honey as a mildly sweet and sour-ish coleslaw. It is all healthy, with no additives and is *cheap*.
It's also very useful for slicing and dicing veggies to make soup in winter.
Thanks for sharing your recipe
Hi Phyllis, We both have had ours for about the same number of decades!!! I am in awe of your coleslaw recipes and variations using fruits & nuts etc. When is your cookbook going to be available on Amazon?!!😊
@@chrisolin1993 I have a number of books that people have said should be written. I'll get around to them all when I can learn how to do without sleep and therefore have some spare time lol.
Didn't like the video. Camera focused too much on the Chef and NOT the device.
worst camera operator ever!
Thumbs UP to the presenter for clear instructions. Thumbs DOWN to camera man. I am watching this video to see the workings of the slicer, NOT the presenter. VERY poor camera work. Needs to go back to school in the worst way!!! I will probably purchase this in SPITE of the camera man.
Why not face the video on the machine when he’s talking !??? So frustrating
The background noise is very distracting. Otherwise, a good video.
It looks like his audio / video synchronization is off. The 'background noise' is actually the soundtrack but about 20 seconds ahead of the video.
Could you have filmed this when the joiner wasn't there sawing away in the background🪚
I wish to buy two pieces . What is price and availability
terrible video. I came here to see how to chop an onion. All I see is camera focused on this guy's head, not showing how he put the insert and how he cut it. This is stupid. Waste of time.
Yerrrrrs it's the V slicer man from 15 years ago on channel 750 on sky
Great demo. Thanks for stressing safety!
What a waste of a video. Not to the presenter. He did good. Fire that videographer though.
Excellent demo... why didn't you wait until you were alone in the kitchen..,the other person cooking was very distracting!
Perfectly stated.
what is up with the headshots!!! its about the freakin machine...not the presenter!
So frustrating. I’m trying to see what he’s doing and the camera is on the man’s face and not on the mandolin.
Horrible video because they show the man's face more than the machine !!
Liked the machine and the person demonstrating tha machine. The camera person should be replaced.
the only problem i have is no one tells us what blade is used for each item, i had no instructions with mine
the only problem i have no one tells you what blade is what for
The video person will face hard time to find another job🤣
Every time he says "you just click it forward" camera is on top half of his body versus the slicer.
You really do have photography issues
Thank you for presenting this model. All I had found is the old white one presented but now I see the improved features like the sizable grip handle and larger rubber feet I'm sold on this one.
I wish we have this product in Africa especially in kenya.
There are so many mandolins in Kamukunji and Instagram stores
Damn they still advertising this in TV likenit s new im not gonna trade em but has anyone ever noticed there good enough no neefbto over exonerate with the older version they show flash of some using it getting mush it pressing extra hard not cutting I wonder why you can see her arm muscle from use like past titanium knifes cutting is a grntal job not an executioner axe man's job pressing hard will make a whole its like they on purpose do it liken the product is not worth it just a cheap but more costly immation are they scared if they advertise honestly it won't sell just disband old or drop price simple no need to sell silver as gold ect Sorry for any mistakes my spellings attracioua as is my betraying auto corrector
I bought mine nearly 20 years ago and it is still in the box. Have been watching cooking shows during this lockdown and see many chefs using this device -- so it's now out of the box -- and I can't thank you enough for your video. Many many many thanks!
Thats me !!
The 6
Terrible video. Very frustrating. I want to see what he is doing, not watch his face. Totally useless!!!
so helpful. Thank you.
I love mine !!!!
How am I the only person to notice the action shots are of a completely different person!? It’s a black apron on the action shots, no apron on the presenter! The editing is dodgy!
I am feeling a little cognitive dissonance
You too because of the extra sound noises etc?
wfat about meat frozen neat salami
Sack the cameraman
