I like your videos but this one isn't it... There wasn't a plan to privatise eskom - there was a whitepaper released by some professor which stated that the private sector has interests in energising South africa and by 2005 or whatever their installed capacity will match that of Eskom. Eskom is an energy company they do not focus on mining operations - if eskom was to buy a mine they would own more of the supply chain just like SAA and then there might be some unhealthy competition like with what happened with SAA. Also, people faffing around with management consulting is a delay tactic but it doesn't fix electricity - engineering works and planning is what fixes the energy crisis. The point is - recouping money, changing management doesn't fix the problem. I have a lot more to say but this ain't it mfanaka

great storytelling, however the the editing(graphics, fonts, black shadows, etc) is too much. It's eye intriguing, and focus is lost quite easily. I know the use of movies and other dramatization effects can be helpful, however, it just takes away the authenticity from the actual story.

The only way to save ESKOM is to sell it. The ANC has corrupted every single government entity to the core. It's been happening for years and years. If you look at how well Eskom was doing in 94, the best in the continent; 10 years later R40 billion debt, 20 years later 200 billion debt. Eskom has always been corrupt since the Apartied days, but the white government had ambitious of growing so they limited their stealing when they needed and worked hard to make sure they still do well as a company
