New Flame Rise - Enshrouded Castle Tour [200+ Hour Build]
New Flame Rise, a castle I built on my solo world in Enshrouded. This took several weeks to complete gradually, and I'm far from finishing it fully, but with most of the Architectural work complete, I thought I could share the current progress of the build.

Enshrouded Building Tips : : Themes & Aesthetics
zhlédnutí 6KPřed 4 měsíci
Based on a few comments I received on reddit, I figured it could be helpful to make a video about some building fundamentals I use when building. I don't cover how to build, where to find materials or how to use the building tool as there are already plenty of videos on this already, and instead put out some tips in regards to designing your base with purpose. 00:00 - Introduction 00:25 - Refer...

This was a painting study I did on some eyes and recorded to put into a neat little timelapse, was mainly to practice my anatomy and share my techniques based on some requests. Awesome build. Too bad the missing people. I hope they add npc people slowly populating.
Great work bro, thanks for the explanation.
Epic, amazing, incrible. Thanks, a lot of inspirarion.
This. Is. Art. 👌👌👌 Your eye for structure depth and dimension is insane. I’m incredibly inspired and hope you’re able to find some time to share more of your work!
I’m very picky when building in any games. You have great taste and I appreciate seeing someone on CZcams who is sharing their ideas and inspiration. We need more!
3:25 jettying the overhang is called jettying. It came to be because people where given a certain footprint to build their home and to get more room the jettied their homes; another reason it was done is the floor boards would bow under the weight of things and people on it so the overhanging weight of the walls would counteract the bowing of the first second etc floors to keep them level therefore this was done for EVERY FLOOR abovethe ground floor. The English medieval period (The Middle Ages) started 476 AD (in year of the lord) and ended in 1485; the late medieval period started in 1300 and ended in 1500. Which gave way to the beginning of the Renaissance period. The name medieval comes from medi-, meaning "middle", and ev-, meaning "age", medieval literally means "of the Middle Ages." Though the Dark Ages is used interchangeably with these two, it is the start of the Middle Ages and the fall of the western roman empire. 1066 CE is regarded as the beginning of the English Middle ages and this is because of The Battle of Fulford 20/09/1066 then it was the battle of Stamford Bridge 25/09/66 and then the Infamous Battle of Hastings 14/10/66 • Cloister(s). • (Flying) Buttress(es). • Vaulted ceiling. • Semicircular arches archivolt (Romanesque) • Pointed/scissor/stilted/Catenary arch archivolt (Gothic) • ossuaries/catacombs • Bastion is tower structure to reinforce the portcullis • Barbican is a gatehouse away from the main castle • Turrets • Half-Hipped roof/ Clipped Gable roof/ Jerkinhead roof • Crow-Stepped Gables • Solar room (above great hall) • tracery windows (Gothic) • Jettying • Whitewash & pastel wash (only for villages small towns, large towns & cities wouldn't pay for pastel washing it was expensive) quoin Stones (not medieval, Ancient Roman renaissance) 4:40 arch not arc and that does not look Gothic at all what you've tried to do is create a Gothic Archivolt but failed due to lack of space; if you where to re-do this make it alot taller to get the POINTED arch as pointed is Gothic and Semi-circular is Romanesque an Archivolt is smaller arches closer to the door and get bigger the more to comes away from the door. These Archivolts are used for grandeur builds. 10:30 these are called Crenellations. The four walls that protrude at the top of your wall (which yours are to small to protect a person they are as big as a person) are called Merlons and the gaps that one would shoot from are the Crenels and those three gaps at the bottom of your Crenellations are called Machicolations they line up with the crenels and all together these make up the Crenellations/Battlements/Ramparts.
Super helpful thank you for this! Especially the little sample build sections!
This is insane. The amount of detail on single block placement on the arches in the hall ways and rooms is wild. That’s the hardest part of this game
Absolutely stunning build! The throne room reminds me of Vizima from The Witcher
I have a huge feeling this is a daft question but is this modded or vanilla?
This is all vanilla on a solo server :)
Really like this build. Have a little bit Raya Lucaria Academy vibe from Elden Ring and I really like how you build the windows and the arches. In this game its much harder to make it nice.
epic
Nice missspell 😂🤦♂🤦♂ It's called "entrance" *NOT* "enterance"
It's also misspell, not missspell. If you're going to be an ass over spelling errors, don't humiliate yourself by doing the exact same.
did you use autocad? or blueprints to build this?
I drew out some of the layout on paper, it was like 40% pre-planned and 60% improvised. A lot of the decisions were mathematically driven though and I had internal logic dictating style constantly to keep it consistent.
super construction 👍👍👍👍
castle map plac name?
Insane!!! Amazing
the trim around the imbedded storages are incredible
200 hours???? It looks like it was built over the course of 200 years. (No but seriously, something so big and so detailed would take me years to build, how on earth people do this things???)
Wow. Holy crap!
I've got about 300 total hours in this game. This is very impressive. Building is my favorite aspect and I do rebuilds. I posted a rebuild of Lupa's Lair on my channel and I'm currently working on Glenwood's End.
This is outstanding well done. I need to get this on pc asap
What blocks did you use in the throne hall for the floor that tile look is amazing
could you show how to repair holes in existing buildings like the Tavern where you find the sewing table. i tried but i keep making bigger holes
Super awesome. My base is right across from that location in the mountains. Thinking of adding a base there and building something. Maybe a castle now that I've seen yours. XD
This is a whole fking Hogwarts at this point ! xD Insane castle ! Amazing work, keep working on it !
Insane build, honestly i'd love to build something huge in this game but I don't even know where to start with planning. I feel like in order to make this castle you would need to hire an architect to plan it out on a blueprint lol
Thanks, I'm an Architect IRL so it helps me plan since I have experience on where to start. If I were to give advice, just start with a small idea and build from that, it will naturally blossom!
What a wonderful vid! I would love to watch anything else you have. Thank you so much!
Must've taken 200 hrs just to gathering the resources to make that thing.
Thats cool as hell.
I wish I was artistic... I dont even know how you begin to build something like this bro
wow! just wow!
how did you get the different names to pop up?
That was absolutely amazing! I'm pleasantly shocked
anyway i can download this? so amazing and inspirational
Meanwhile my home is like square with lots of chests and workbenches in corner, and one of each thing to support stats, thats it xd that what you builded there, is hecking awesome and i wish i would have the determination to do at least main room xd
Builders. We always be closing doors behind us 😂
any way to get this as a world save ? or you submitting for a competition ?
I'm not usually lost for words but I am here. This is incredible. You should be really proud of what you've achieved here. Cannot wait to see more! x
This is just beautifull man, ainth no other words for it.
Underrated! Awesome Build! Love it. you got a sub. 💯
Amazing and beautiful work. One thing I wish they would add is a way to get rounded arches, doorways, etc.
can you please tell which block you used for your pillars??
Desert Temple blocks, its one of the last blocks you'll unlock in the game found south east of the map.
damn. Imagine you can build weapons to siege the castle on a 20v20 pvp. Or they introduce some kind of pvp
Not bad 👍🏾
Absolutely breath taking. Beautiful! I could never lol
It's gor a very similar impression/vibe to Skyrim's city Markarth judging from the castle interiors.
You should try building like a huge system in a mountain or even underground, from what looks to be a little mountain cottage or a hobbit home into a huge network with the NPCs and whatnot.
Thanks for the suggestion, I do have plans for excavating the hill a little in the future, I won't be making a hobbit home though, seen too many of these.
One of the most amazing ingame builds, in any game. Would enjoy watching the building process, as well.
Thanks! I'll have a building process for any future progress I make.
This is mind boggling! Really perplexed at how this all fit into the 160x160x160
lol realized by the end of the video that you probably put multiple altars together?
Yes it's built on 2 altars, I'm planning to use 4-5 altars all-together for the full project.
Great tips that are helping me massively
