Yeah.. I am with you. I don't need to fancy brand light or branding on the fairlead either. Seems everything you buy has to have a logo or name on it. I also found it annoying that the manual did not list the contents and their purpose.(reason I came to this vid to see). So, I am still trying to exactly figure out the fabric wrap thing, a couple of mystery parts, and just simply a very confusing manual. They need a better technical writer. Now.. when it comes to the winch, I purchased the 12k. I installed it and need to power it. Its a beast!... I think it will serve its role well. Funny ... Rampart Range Rd in the late 70's and early 80s was a rough road full of hard rock areas, loose larger rocks , and generally a crappy road road overall. Now you can drive a regular low clearance car on it no problem. It's so smooth compared to the good old days!....

Just replaced the starter on my car about an hour ago on my 2013 bk2 it’s difficult if you Dont have the proper tools I used a 14mm and 12mm bolts and swivel with extensions cause the tight spaces. You want to unbolt the starter and unfortunately for me my bk2 had the bk1 starter on it not sure why so wasn’t able to clear the motor mount without having to remove it I actually took the top right coolant hose off (will leak coolant) but this made reaching the top bolts super easy with an extension and swivel and for the bottom left one behind the compressor you can undo the plastic cover on the side of the wheel it’s a very small plastic cover and same thing with a swivel and extension you can remove that bolt and for the last one near the transmission you can unscrew it from under hope this helps and and same process to put everything back together (you will need to lift the engine like in the video Dont forget)

Did you reinstall the lift block that comes with the zr2? How do you like the ride compared to the stock springs?

The constant complaining was annoying as hell… they give a nice fairlead, you complain about it and call them childish for putting their branding? Weird but okay..? Then you complain about a beefy well put together hook and compare it to Warn? That hook is way better than warns… then you complain because the controller is “lite”?!?! Do you wanna carry a damn brick around?! Lord, stop complaining.. one of the if not the nicest winch on the market. Better than warn.. that’s been proven…

Its a extra wire on the right side. (you'll notice there's a extra cable when attaching the Right side marker.) No tapping needed. Cut the Running light wire in half. Attach a Bullet Connect to the Stripped wires. and plug into the Accessory port.

What bolt size did you use ?

To add to your mods, when you put much bigger tires you will need to change out your rear differential gears in the axle so your truck can turn the wheels and not bog down struggling to turn them.

I have 45k on my Duramax ZR2 and so far she’s been great. Where it really shines is with pulling trailers. It may not have the speed that the gasser has but it’ll pull 7,000 lbs without breaking a sweat. As far as headlights, I’d check the company Headlight Revolution. They have LED retrofit bulbs for it and they are stupid bright! I’d recommend no greater than 1500 lumen for the lows and get whatever you want for the brights. Anything brighter than 1500 lumen on the low beams will get you flashed constantly and the cops will be pulling you over. Lol.
