I am a Song Thief. If you like musicals, then I'm your right hand man. We need more channels out there for musical theater. I will be making tributes to great artists out there highlighting their work, posting rare cast albums and occasionally whole video shows if I judge the timing to be right. So subscribe you won't regret it! You don't want to be left out of the fun.
Without Her- James Barbour
I'm still alive guys! A savage intense song from one of Frank Wildhorn's lesser known cast albums Tears of Heaven. Barbour goes full throttle on the last note-- 2:28. I've had this for awhile, but haven't been posting stuff due to computer woes. Since its Jb's BIRTHDAY tomorrow I figured now is as good a time as any.

Steve Barton Picture Gallery

On the birthday of legendary American dancer, director, singer, choreographer and stage actor Steve Barton I made a picture show of him in his stage roles. It is a loss to history that there are not more video recordings of who might have been the greatest American baritone musical theater has had, but we are blessed that we could capture his magical singing voice readily in audio recordings, a...

Its May 5th!! Happy birthday to John Owen-Jones, lets celebrate the beauty of the voice and the man by listening to him venture him through many genres. My video is not perfect, and only scratches the surface of how versatile he is, but it still was fun to make! Some of these songs are complex with influences from multiple genres of music, the classifications I used are very broad. Below are th...
Jan Eyre Part 9

A powerful supporting performance by broadway royalty Gina Ferrall as as the cruel Mrs. Reed. Stephen Buntrock plays the pure-hearted St. John Rivers. Fun fact: Several actors in this show have been associated with the Phantom of the Opera. Stephen Buntrock played the Phantom on the U.S Tour and on Broadway from 2004-2006. James Barbour currently plays the Phantom on Broadway in 2015. Elizabeth...

One of the most exciting parts of the show, too bad about audio glitch in Barbour's big number, but we still have a good idea of what it would have been like to have been in thr audience in this dramatic atmosphere. I

Broadway's current Phantom James Barbour singing If Ever I would Leave You from Camelot! The year 2007. His interpretation is seduction! Rachel York is his Guinevere and looks just like a Pre-Raphaelite painting, and her talent also glows. A beautiful scene by them both.

This video has many glitches but it is such a precious documentation of a musical in need of revival that I still want to share it. Marla Schaffel won multiple awards playing Jane Eyre, including a Drama Desk. Her voice possesses a spiritual beauty and strength as Jane should. The seductive baritone of James Barbour, current star of Broadway's Phantom of the Opera is legendary and he made Edwar...

What a treasure!!❤
Mel h is such an amazing actor especially in the office and monk. And I knew she could sing. But her voice as Fontaine amazing 💖💖
Is that last picture him in the role? Did he understudy it when he was Enjoras?
Would love for this to be remade xxx
So beautiful his voice xxx
Wow😂
The most magnificent voice on the planet. What a artist!
It’s one of my favorite musicals
Sounds and dramatic singing like Richard Burtton
James Barbour actually sounds like Robert Goulet.
I've been looking for it! Thanks so much, Anthony Warlow's a genius!
Happy Bday for your May 5th. Hope its the best ever. Still the best voice ever.
I love all these pictures. He was a legend i miss him. What musicals are the pictures at 3:35,3:42 and 3:50 4:39 of?
The only adaptation of Jane Eyre brave enough to include this scene.
* sighs in hopeless romantic *
Is this the broadway cast or the cast from LaJolla?
I’d wished I could stage this musical at my school
The man who she slept with for the summer was Michael Scott
The way they kiss at the end... It gets me every time ❤️
Wow!
His voice is so soothing…
Thanks for posting this wonderful musical!
Has he never heard of chastity vow ?
A Victorian wedding dress with a decolletage ? Very unlikely
He's so great!
It's a wonderful musical!
My favourite part so far
He's so great, had he played the Beast ?
Mrs Fairfax reminds me of Mrs Potts
She has such a beautiful voice too

She's got *really* good hair if that's all hers. 😮
This is one of the best videos of this because of the pictures. ^____^ We need to know *who* he wouldn't leave. 😍 Oh, I just found the one with the knighting ceremony. ^____^ (2:22 to 2:29) I really like when they tie in with the old legends. ^___^ But Vanessa Redgrave with her bright hair and lovely eyes...is *even more* stunningly, shiningly bewitching. 🌟🤩⭐🌠💫 (2:48)
oh yes, he is brilliant but never a Philip Quast 😍😍😍
I just discovered Anthony Warlow from his song "This is the moment". I already know the song since I was a child but I didn't know the original singer which is Anthony Warlow. Now I'm discovering his other songs. His voice is the best in his genre in my opinion.
Have fun going down the Anthony Warlow rabbit hole! Have you checked out the rest of his songs from Jekyll and Hyde? He also did Sweeny Todd and Fiddler on the Roof as well as Phantom of the Opera and many others
@@kaldurskipper6821 what's his best song in your opinion?
@@ibullythosewhobullyothers3389 Honestly, I don't really know. He has so many great ones. I love his Bring Him Home too. I really couldn't say
@@kaldurskipper6821 thank you. I'll check it out.
@@ibullythosewhobullyothers3389 No problem! I really hope you like them. If you get a favorite, let me know! I'm curious
Ever since I've seen the current version of "Let it Go (Reprise)" where Belle from Beauty and the Beast joins in with Anna and Elsa, I've felt like they're a perfect trio of Disney princesses on Broadway - and guess what? An Anna, an Elsa, and a Belle were 3 stars-to-be in different Annie productions: McKenzie Kurtz (Anna), Andrea McArdle (Belle), and Ashley Blanchett (Elsa, 8:46)
8:46-10:28 Who came for Ashley Blanchett?
Absolutely stunning.
« rEalLy ? WhY ? » Homeboi has never sounded so interested in anything ever in his life hahahah wow
Okay at this point James Barbour discography is just like “So you know about ✨toxic men✨ ? How about I make them all VERY attractive? Huh ?” Like c’mon, Dracula, the Phantom, Edward Rochester, now whoever this charming chap might be… I am trying to make healthy life choices here 😂
Thank you I loveeee this musical. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
YEP..JE WEHO
I love Anthony but prefer Philips take. I thinkPhilip has that rougher edge. What makes Anthony so special is how he can go from singing this so well to his beautiful tenor performance on 'Bring him home'
Melora is amazing, there’s nothing she can’t do, if your watching DWTS, she’s literally become a triple threat
I saw the original BROADWAY CAST one of the BEST SHOWS I HAVE EVER SEEN ON BROADWAY..
Only stumbled across Anthony Warlow by accident and now I can’t stop listening to him. His voice is just magic. His storytelling exquisite. His diction is perfection. Just love this man .
Me too. First time today 24/8/24. Unbelievable. Barb from New Zealand.
So sorry to know this musical won't be presented in Broadway theaters.
That my favourite scene in the book and in the movies, where Mr Rochester dress up as a Gypsy and tells Jane and the other girls fortune. Its a shame its not in many versions of Jane Eyre movies or tv series.
It is in three mini series versions: 1973, 1983, and 2006. Jane guesses the real identity of the gypsy way too soon in 1973. In 1983, she's way too angry at Rochester. In 2006, an actress poses as the gypsy while Rochester hides behind a screen. In the book, Jane figures it out when she recognizes a ring on the "gypsy's" hand as the gypsy beckons her to leave.
The Greatest EVER
second contender to Robert Goulet
