the syulen is overrated here, if it is supposed to be "small cargo" then 6SCU is at the very least 3 too little, and the only size it can carry is 1SCUs, limiting it even more. and why make a small freight with 12 missiles when its shape of a practice target for a ship shooting range really tells you not to drag it anywhere near combat. its even slower than an aurora and nothing about its maneuverability and accelleration is justified having that huge thrusters. i'd rate it a 5/10 and those 5 are just for looking pretty. it's like a fancy oversized camping tent.

lmao dude really wanted to show off his 1SCU toilet animation. really not sure why the bathroom play was ever even a thing for them when they themselves probably have no idea what to even do with it. i guess it makes for some immersive looking bathroom spaces on... well, really just the carrack or syulen. but if any other ships didn't have theirs you probably wouldn't notice and miss them. also not sure if having to go to the bathroom just to click basically a timer reset button would be fun. sounds kind of just annoying to be honest. it should also require to take armour off.

I also really like this ship, especially because it's so easy to spawn, launch and land. it's incredible, but my favorite of this class is the C8R Rescue. It's a bit more complicated to take cargo with you. at most you can fit 2 x 1 scu containers, so you have to tilt the crate into the medic room with a multitool and then open the door and beam the crate out before you can get out yourself. the advantage is the medical bed, spawnpoint and the free supplies like medpens, protein bars and water. all in all, a great review!

Is it just one compartment? I thought when the elevator wasn't at a floor, it had a glass or some other transparent material plate slide into place to prevent anyone from falling into the hole and to seal that level... I also thought the lift itself would also be a seal, just look at the door to get in... does that look like it's a good seal? but apparently, it works lol. Also, when you open the door from the outside, if you look carefully, the English translation of the door button says "Airlock" ... so there's that.

I got this as my first ship after looking around a little. I started after playing over the recent free week. I was really enjoying the vulture and wish that had a starter. But with it not being a starter and the price it's too much just starting. With the Nomad I agree with everything you've said. I was disappointed that I couldn't add a salvage tool attachment since that is something I didn't find out while looking at the Nomad. I wish there was a door to the truck bed and the wall was thinner like you said. I've had issues with the ladder a few times where I couldn't get inside and having a second option would be nice when the game is buggy. But overall it is a fun first ship.

The 315p tractor beam is mind boggling, CIG somehow managed to make it useless. It was a major ship of interest for me, but now it's just a disappointment. All in all, I enjoy your review, thank you both of you.

I love that you think about this. Toilet needs should be implemented, including fines for going in space station corners when caught. The portable toilet is great too, but way too big. Just the actual little toilet that slides out of the crate is enough for your little ship. Forget about the rest of the crate. Also, you'll be able to buy foldable little toilet rigs that fit in your backpack. And little gell filled sacs that fit your nether regions, to pee in :)

Great review! The pressurization doesn't bother me at all, I think a more pressing issue are those large leg plates, which should account for some physical armor. At present, the ship has absolutely zero ballistic protection, and these legs also make it a overly large target. If they gave the Syulen a 58% physical resistance value (like the Rambler), or alternatively, some considerable hull armor when those values are implemented, I think this would would be a 10/10 for its role (light explorer)

Imagine if you char is dirty af and you get injured your wound will get infected which needs an medical treatment in an T1 Bed or else you will loose HP over time and reduces max health.

It's the only ship I own, I updraded it from Aurora and love it's aesthetic. One of the only think I would like to see changed on this ship, is actually the thing they kind of teased in the docs, I thought there will be options in the future to modify the cargo bed with modules, but it not seem to be part of the plan anymore.

i really like the improved style of your reviews. hope you will make one on the reliants and how you would re-work it. it's one of my favs, even with all the issues i see with it.

i like the syulen. i even got it, as much as i hate myself for that. my main issue is the cargo. only 6x1size SCU is too limiting. why not *also* make size 2 fit in? i agree that it could use some one-way window(s), but i also like the cave-style they made it in with the rock-material texture. too many windows would take that away. if they could really change one big thing though i'd like if the cockpit would extend out a little more to the top so when looking around i get a better view off to the sides an maybe a little bit back. especially when landing, i could then do it in first person. i hate having to do anything in 3rd person just because the option for first person isn't really there. and one insane idea: since the pilot seat is being held by gravity tech, it should be able to rotate into a landing-position that puts the seat upright. that would also solve the first person landing issue.

Really informative video. I've been running a ghost and cutlass and I love them both, but I definitely feel the ghost needs a few tweaks. Maybe it will shine when stealth mechanics are more than just ir/em visibility

What they mean by front-line carrier PLANE is not that it carried cargo, but that it was a Carrier based ship. It small QT tank means it had to be carried by bigger ships to the front-lines, like the Gladius and the Hornet that took it's place, it was a pure fighter that got retrofitted as a cargo hauler.

I understand why they don't have windows, would have loved windows on the warship I was on, but that's a big weakness that the elevator window shows that it's mostly just for checking conditions. and I was in the military and absolutely agree on separation; depending on where the actual power is, you could live without the entrance because I believe the habitation stuff is on the second level. Just replace the computer with he power plant and boom, gameplay that will probably never be in this game 😅

Rather than windows they could be display screens. They're just windows in practice, but with a shader laid over them (at least for turning them on) to give the impression that it's a screen. This would allow for windows without actually dealing with the moving parts. 🤔 On the outside of the ship, then, they just add a few small circular bits with a lens and say that those are the external cameras.
