Greatings from SoCal. Yeah those regular cab, shortbed truck trucks I really miss. When I was younger I had an old 72 Datsun truck, my first vehicle. I bought it in 79 at 16. Then I had a 76 Datsun. Then a 83 Nissan, 88 Toyota, and then 89 Toyota, that one was an Extracab. Then are so fun to drive and just keep running and running. I applaud your daughter for getting under the truck and doing this work. Nothing better than some hand on experience.

Greetings from the province of Pontassieve in Florence, Italy, I have a Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 with a 1.3 LT petrol m13a engine from the year 2001, all original, which I use for off-roading on rural and forest trails and I see that my Suzuki Jimmy 4x4, even if it is original in the countryside, on these dirt roads of rural farms and on the forest roads that loggers often use to transport the wood out of the forest with their forestry tractors, skidders and forwarders, it performs very well on these trails, even if it is all original and is not prepared for extreme off-roading, but with the right mud tires it goes very well off-roading on forest roads, even in the presence of mud!

Can the ABS be disengaged or diverted so it won't interfere with manual usage. I grew up pumping brakes. I can still do it.

UPDATE: Nope. I tried this way but with my luck, it was too much of a risk to push the master cylinder far enough back to allow enough clearance for the booster. Just got too sketchy for my taste. I'll be removing the master cylinder then bleeding the dang system after the job is done. BTW, my truck has a charcoal canister right next to the booster so I had to remove it to give more clearance. That was fairly easy. It's a state thing for some trucks to require that canister. - End Update. I just began today deciphering a whistling sound coming from my brake pedal on my 01 Tacoma 2wd double cab prerunner. After researching a while, a few hours ago I was pretty much convinced that it's a vacuum leak on that springy rubber boot on the booster that goes into the firewall and where the pedal attaches to. This was the first video I looked at to see how to do the job. I don't need to look at any other videos. Thank you!
