Pima Air & Space Museum Walk-Through with Air Force fly by. Tucson, AZ
Tucson, AZ a quick walk-through of Pima Air & Space with Fly By's from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base across the street. They seemed to be filming promotional film. Helo in the air the whole time with 2 F35s, a WWII Mustang and Lightning, as well as a Warthog. So many planes there, this was only a handful I could shoot in about 2 hours.

Kymco Downtown 300i Review 2013&2015 - by Fat Cat Scooter
Had the spade in 2019 and rode that around extreme hot one day in arizona. It overheated and didnt do well in extreme heat. But it was awesome in warm weather but not so much in any weather thats above 95 degrees fahrenheit.
I live in Phi too so know what you mean. Only test drove this one. I did have an Air Cooled Buddy 150cc scooter for years and drove in 115 F degrees all the time, no issues at all.
Picking up my base 1:5 in Spain this week so enjoyed finding this. Thanks from a fellow old man.
Good deal! You'll love it. I was in England on vacation last week and could not believe how many MX 5's there were, but good roads for that. That said, I totaled mine a few months back :-( but it's a tough car and saved my life, so I'm still a big fan.
@@fatcatscooter2584 Glad you are OK.I cannot think of another car that has such a devoted following and the owners club meetings are amazing.Unlike other sports cars its not resented.
Looks like they did not give you the correct Club Orange room service menu as for breakfast, CO normally includes complimentary freshly squeezed Orange Juice and Mimosas (your menu shows these as premium items with cost associated). Also, there are three ships with a dedicated CO Dining Room - Koningsdam, Nieuw Statendam, & Rotterdam.
Its as much a real bike as a honda rebel
I can’t wait for my kids to leave the house so I can get a car like this. My only worry is getting out.
Upgrade is subjective. We were UPGRADED on our October 2023 Hawaiian cruise. We were moved from the middle of deck 4 to the front of deck 8 opposite the bridge entry door. Technically, based on the room classification this was an upgrade but would never have been our first or last pick.
😍
We’ve booked our next two cruises with HAL and added CO to both. Price came out cheaper with club orange with the room upgrade than the original. We priced out the room we wanted and then asked our TA to try to get Club Orange. Both times the total cost was less money, please don’t advertise this so the benefit will be there for people who know how to use it.
Nice, thank you.
Honest assessment of the car. Im 72 and have had a 91 Na and a 2008 NC. Both base sport models. Looking for a ND2 currently.
Totalled it last year :-( Good news is hit by a big Pickup truck pulling a horse trailer and survived. It's a freaking tough little car. But just too small for me. Went with a Dodge Challenger, need a little more steel around me :-) .
Wow-Burgman is suuposed to be super high end. Me. I haven't had good luck with Honda, I'm intrigued by their minimotos but I would have to test ride them.
I could get a good deal on a used SMax.
Is there any more room on the 200 and the 125
A cool video. Enjoyed. :)
Here is a tip but make sure you do this well advanced before your cruise where the cabins are not fully booked. If you booking a cabin that your not fully ok but, want it for the reason of a lower price for example Obstructed view cabin. After that then order for a club orange. Ask the person on the phone after you pay for it about the cabin upgrade, you will get a cabin that is higher within that class so you will get the none obstructed view. We did that today. We book the cruise through our travel agent because AAA offers great extras and such as always for our cruises. Then later on I called Holland and order the club orange and paid for that which was total of 350 for 2 people for a 7 day cruise. Then once that transaction was done. I then asked the lady about the upgrade. She put me on hold to see what was available. We had originally got a normal balcony. She came back and upgraded us to a spa Balcony cabin so not only we get the club orange perks but, also now spa access free with that. Do not try to wait until your cruise to get the cabin upgrade as you will be risking if the cabins that you would normally be upgraded to may not be available then.
Very good point... we're going on Cunard (also part of Carnival Cruise Company) and couple we are going with do not have an assigned room. I told them to get on the phone. I'm concerned because they let the cruise choose suite and because they are not pushing it they may get a bad video. :-( Good info
Did you ask for a manager? Find someone that knows what is going on!
No, in the end they treated us really well and it was a great cruise. I don't think I'll ever like the departure port experience... so strange lol.
Signed up for club Orange when we booked our room and the upgrade was given immediately once paid that price of the upgrade covered the cost of club orange so basically it was free!
Good deal!
Re: Upgrades. When you add Club Orange talk to the rep right then. We upgraded from obstructed view to regular verandah at that time, way before boarding.
I also live in AZ, got mine in San Fco. went there to buy a used one but the seller had understated the actual millage by more than double!, not to come back empty handed decided to go to the dealer and get me a new one, so far I love the bike, as you mention - no vibrations in the fwy, very important. - BTW I got it in the silver color with a box tha fits 2 full helmets, wife rides along 😊
Fantastic. Hope you can make it out with the Phoenix Scooter Club sometime! www.phoenixscooterclub.com
Standard motocycle transmission and guage tells you what gear you're in and how much fuel you have?
Thank you for the great advice. I appreciate it.
Like your review. 81 years old, driving large touring bikes for sixty years .Can't stop driving but need a lighter more user friendly ride. Will try and get a 400 in this area. Nova Scotia Can. the salt and rust capital of the world . Have a great day .
Thanks Richard. Just my 2 cents... as a guy who runs 2 scooter clubs with hundreds of members, I've had a lot of little bit older folks tell me exactly what you say... I think you have to be realistic. There's only something like 30 or 50 lbs of difference between this bike and a Harley Davidson Nightster. They are freaking heavy bikes. I'd suggest at most you look at the GTS 300 Vespa, still just a little lighter. Getting hurt is not worth it. I'd suggest smaller IMHO. Good luck, be safe.
Do you have a email address,id like to ask some 150cc scooter frame questions. How they differ from 50cc look alike
Good vedeo
I own the club ND1 with the 17 inch wheels and recently got OEM 16 inch, and i gotta say that the 16 inch are the way to go.
It’s a Piaggio
I have sailed on HAL 2x and never got Club Orange but from your experience it sounds like it is not really worth the money. For what you pay you could eat in the specialty restaurants multiple times and avoid the MDR at dinner. The other perks are either non existent or you had to beg to get them. that doesn't sound premium to me.
It's worth it... unless the $200 or so is too much for you. But your call. Just came back from 2nd cruise, same ship, lot of the same Club Orange people ... freaking fantastic. I'll post a video. Thanks.
Good review! Have you ever driven this car through a car wash? Curious about loth top keeping out water. I agree the base is best for fun. I do wish the roll bars were gloss black. How’s the standard radio work? I had a base NC Sport in 2009 and found it was terrific fun. All u need is a manual and the right color!
Thanks! First, bad news, had a bad crash and the car is totaled but I'm fine. Hit by a Chevy 2400 pickup pulling a horse trailer with an animal (ok) in the back. It is one tough car but just too small for me... Now have a dodge Challenger. To answer your question NO NO do not put thought car was (says so in manual). Water WILL get in from the pressure around the soft top seal and can do serious damage to the car... not to mention the paint will scratch easy from the brushes... cheap clear coats on Mazda imho. Yes, gloss black is ugly. Base radio is fantastic.. car is so small does not need much and speakers in head set are fantastic.
I've never owned a scooter, but I have reidden a few. My wife and I have rode mtorcycyles for years and for the last few years HD trikes. (They ride like a dumo trunk) I would like to buy something that has a better ride and I think a scooter would be a good chouce. The Kymco X-Roads 300I which is available these days replaced the Downtown 300I is my first choice. THe nearest dealer is about 100 miles away, but I hop to take my wife there to see what she thinks. I'd love to take her for a short ride to check out the ride quality. Thank you for this video. It encourages me to go foward in the purchase of the Kymco X-Roads 300i.
Nicely done
Thanks! Good team work, lol. Glen
Best benefit of Club Orange is selecting the lowest level balcony cabin, usually an obstructed view, then upgrade to the finest balcony cabin. I booked an obstructed view balcony, obtained Club Orange, and upgraded to an aft-facing cabin. Saved quite a bit of money
Thanks, very good to know!
are the yellow on the wheels paint, or decal?
Decals :-( But still look pretty good. I feel the bike is done a little cheaply (meaning the Disney part) lots of cheap stickers (but done well), And just used different colored parts. Done well are Mickey's name in the seat and the black mirrors. BUT... where is the color White on the bike? But it's a Vespa so you know it's going to last. Compared to a 300 is is sloooow, weak brakes, but good enough.
Hi from Germany, we have so much fun with our two vespas, one MM, one Pic Nic.
That Pic Nic was on my list. 150 is a LOT slower then the 300 GTS and breaks not as strong BUT... the 150 Primavera is just fantastic for a little ride with no worries about moving around, parking, hills, etc. It will do 60 MPH so not bad. Have fun in Germany!
Hope you can make a sequel video with the black mirrors installed, out of the box completely, and what it looks like on the road! Great unboxing!
I'll try. Just been lazy. But happy I purchased.
Nice! You should bring it out to SoCal and we should ride to Downtown Disney!! Enjoy the scoot!
Pretty Cool!
The boarding - nixes it.
Yeah, funny I just came back from Alaska / Vancouver on the exact same ship, but this time I think it's called Neptune class (Includes Club orange). You get "premier" boarding BUT very similar issue in Vancouver. The freakin employees at the dock are not HAL employees..... so they tried to force us to a huge packed room to wait for a few hours, as they were late getting ship boarded. I found a HAL employee in the great hall at the Vancouver dock and told them Neptune Class... they walked us pass everyone to a little area ...just a roped off area but only about 40 people there and seating (yes, some people had to stand), and they got us on first. But again, I had to make a fuss and find a crew member. LOL.
Great on point review!
Much appreciated!
We received our free sparkling wine at dinner on the first night rather than in our room. We have done CO on all three of our HAL cruises, and have added it for our two upcoming cruises, and we agree that it is totally worth it.
Interesting to know! We are going in a few weeks again on Konningsdam so interested to see if any changes.. may do another video.
The PCH 200i looks like a Genuine Scooter Hooligan 170i.
You're right! To be honest, it's been so long since I rode this. For what it is, it's a nice bike, but the Lance brand used to be garbage so I was very skeptical even doing this review, but it is better quality. Think it's a fine first bike, but it's not a Vespa, Piaggio or Honda. Good for the price.
@@fatcatscooter2584 I finally made it to a scooter store. Sat on a SYM Fiddler 4 200i but felt to cramped. What do you think of genuine scooter? I’m thing that the hooligan 200i might fit me better. There is not much choice of scooters around in my area unless it is the Wolf Brand ones. The closest decent scooter dealers is 100 miles. Also interested n Vespa Sprint 150 but a little pricey.
What about rear suspension on the 200i?
OK, it's an entry level bike. I think you really only find good suspensions once you get to something like the Vespa gts 300 and over, but even the gas is not very comfortable suspension imho.
Nice point of view! Glad to hear from an actual owner vs car reviewer. Thanks for sharing!
Word!
Thanks for the review. I watched countless youtube videos before ordering mine. I now know more about the bike, than a natural owner. It's strong enough to beat most, if not all it's 400cc competitors.
Yes, I'm still loving it. Took it to AmeriVespa Flagstaff this year... and did me solid! Great riding up to Grand Canyon and Sedona.
Did you get the deep black version (Nero materora)
"IT'S A BUDGET CAR, BUT IT'S STILL NOT CHEAP"... JUST ONE OF MANY CONTRADICTORY NONSENSICAL STATEMENTS. DISINGENUOUS OF YOU TO CONTINUALLY QUOTE OTHERS FOR THEIR "WHINGING", THOUGH YOU CLEARLY DON'T SEE THAT BY DOING THIS, YOU ARE YOURSELF, A THIRD PARTY, WHINGER BY PROXY. WHAT A DUMB METHOD OF COBBLING TOGETHER, BORING, MUNDANE, UNORIGINAL, LACKLUSTRE AND GENERIC "CONTENT". DEAR OH DEAR.
Thanks for the great video. I'm seeking some scooter advice and was wondering if Kymco is a good choice for someone who is 6 foot 215lbs. I like the xtown 300 , Yamaha 300 (xmax?) , Honda adv150. Do you have any pointers on something that would fit me? And my favorite is the ak550. I'm ready to downsize from my Harley roadking lol . Thanks
The AK550 IMHO is the same bike at the 650 BMW, pretty good for 6 foot, and you're a skinny boy in the scooter world so no issues. I've not sat on the Yamaha 300 max but I'm guessing they have good foot room. 550 has OK foot room, over 6 feet may be an issue. Adv150 great bike, but way too small (seating wise) if coming from a Harley or to an AK500... but SIT on it BEFORE you buy.
What’s up man. Great video. After 2 years, do you still have it? Any reliability issue?
Hi, I never owned this (have GTS 300 and BV 400 and Primavara 150 Vespa). But, great friend and wife have 2, owned about 2 years... NO issues, love them. Ride the heck out of them.
Do you have any idea of how many people are allowed to join Club Orange? Either as a number or a percentage of total passengers? The Koningdam maxes out at about 2700 passengers. The Club orange Dining Room looks fairly small. Maybe 60-70 people?? So maybe 2-3% of passengers can be in it?
I think there were several hundred people on the ship who were Club Orange. Anyone Neptune class and higher automatically get it, so a few hundred there. Then the people like me who asked about it, I'd add a few hundred..... 300-400? They can easily handle a few hundred people at dinner. A few times we did have to wait, but they just had us wait in the hall outside, never more than 10-15 minutes. Thanks
There are now 3 Pinnacle class ships. From oldest to newest Koningsdam (2016), Nieuw Statendam (2018), Rotterdam (2021). Older, smaller ships have Club orange as a separate area in the MDR. We always chose anytime Dining. It was never a problem walking in to the MDR between 6 and 7p and getting a seat immediately or wait 5 minutes. That all changed on the Koningsdam in October 2022. Standing lines around the block for anytime dining between 6 and 7p. So yes Club Orange is worth it on Pinnacle Class ships. Not so much on any smaller class ship. Only problem is there are no views of the Ocean in the Club orange dining space. Also there is a bit of a fish-bowl effect with hordes of people streaming by the whole time you are eating. They can peer in through the partially opaque windows. Just have to ignore them. Some appear to be starving to death standing in long lines outside those windows waiting for seats in the MDR. 🤣We were on a 28 day cruise in October 2022 on the Koningsdam. Ate in the MDR exactly twice. I won't stand in long lines like live stock waiting to be fed. We ate at the Tamarind the majority of the nights.
Yes, right on. Have the fun is eating in Club Orange on konignstam and watching the other wait on line ;-) ... Hey, it ain't free! On Princess they have the Club Class in a separate section of the main dining room (as you mentioned above) and we loved it. Dine anytime we wanted, same wait staff... just a different table each time. Going to be on Koningsdam later this year again.... this time with a 450sq ft Neptune suite that includes Club Orange, can't wait.... But next year doing Queen Mary II on Cunard Britannia Club Class so even more excited to see how that works out.
Thanks for taking the time to do this video. My husband and I recently booked a 14 days transatlantic on Nieuw Statendam in a Neptune suite which we're told has Club Orange access. It will be our first time sailing with Holland America and we're very excited to sail with a new cruise line.
So cool, let me know how it goes, we're doing Neptune Suite on Koningsdam later this year... and yes includes Club Orange (for the price... it better) lol.
HAL is very late to the dance with Orange. They are also making the same mistakes that Celerity did with the Retreat and NCL did with the Haven. That mistake is to allow the marketing department to glance over the amenities but teach no one the ins and outs. It is a learning process over time to gain the "Secrets" of all of these programs. The first step is for some brave sole to take the time to make a video or write a detailed op-ed. You should be congratulated on your efforts. You took one for the team and the team appreciates it. Cruise well and enjoy every moment.
Thanks man!! Yeah, It was not my best work as I decided to make this halfway through our last trip. Funny you say that, no one from Holland America ever reached out to me. I told a few of the Club Orange People on Konigsdam I was making this video.... And going to be on the ship again later in the year... so for giggles if I see the same crew, going to ask their comments on the video. I'm an old marketing guy... these young bucks sometimes don't think everything through... and that Old Man Fat Cat Scooter might just make a video lol. Take care!
