Guys I realized something What if the Name of this thing like it's full name is "The Coronation Day"
The pink forest isnt canonical, the devs outright stated it was scrapped because it was way too upfront and just straight up told you the forest king is a demon possesing peach (and also that it either has a gore and masochism fetish, or that the possession induced it in peach) . Essentially, they thought that the pink forest stole away all of the mystery, so they removed it.
may i get any sources for what the devs said?

looked back at the smwc forum posts and outside of "you weren't meant to find it" and "it's unfinished" I can't find any mention of what you said
I doubt that's actually the case. Lots of stuff in the game can only be seen and pieced together by using Lunar Magic to remove sprite layers, so it makes sense that this something that can only been seen by manipulating the game given that the creators already expected you to do that to get lore anyway.

Literally just playtested random levels in Lunar Magic before finding one that works lol

I came with names for the different Peach sprites we see Green-garbed Peach: The Heir of Naught Faceless Peach: The Empty Monarch Killer Spooky Peach: The Queen of Nonexistence Crash-game demon Peach: The Void, Crowned As you can notice, there is a sort of reccurence in those names.

How did you open the rom with Lunar Magic? When I try to open it it says that "the game has the wrong game title, or is in the wrong format".
it's been a while, but if i remember correctly, you have to change the rom's header from coronation day back to the super mario world one

I’m not sure how I feel about this level, it feels a little more ham-fisted than the others, a little corny with the imagery (Peach being a literal bloodied demon just out in the open), otherwise I think it’s a nice secret addition
I feel like the fact that this is inaccessible through normal means is an intentional part of the story. To get to this Pink Forest, you have to go beyond the fabric of reality, dig deep into the rom and "pillage the carcass" of it. ( 1:07 ) The fact that this dialogue exists here, seems like the creator knew that you would have to rip open the rom in order to access any of it. Does it not seem fitting, then, that you would witness things that were never meant to be seen? An abyss within the abyss, that grows ever deeper... Thank you Annoying Elf for documenting this!

@@Wheelchair_Man oh absolutely. Hate to be the one that agrees with “gate keeping” but this hack is and has been a gem for years, I wouldn’t want everyone trying to find answers so easily.

I wonder one thing, though I higly doubt it's possible - did anyone manage to check what's beyond the demonic Peach in the level? Or at least edit Peach's properties to a valid value that does not crash the game upon jumping? I feel like there's still more easter eggs than what's been currently found. Especially throughout some of the later levels.
You can get there if you use some camera pan tricks. There’s a drop just like after the corrupted forest, but you drop onto mario from the cabin.
its from 5 years before and its not already solved we got a very large list of things to do
Strangely enough, one of the mod's creator told me that some people did find the answer in private, but still won't release their findings, oh well.

I wonder if the messages during the Pink Forest segment are actually a twisted depiction of a birth that went wrong... It felt like so when I watched it.
I think it could be dialouge from the first "birth" of this forest entity. Then it symbolizes its "rebirth" of it being in the demonic Peach form. It was born once, now it was born again, but neither time was it natural.
@@sillycookie hmm, sounds about right... Man, the fact no one has fully understood the story of this game yet is quite fascinating. Maybe it's something we're not meant to understand. But I'm just amazed at the amount of secrets in it nonetheless...

I just had a slight 'eureka!' moment about this hack (someone else may have already shared this idea....my apologies if this is a repost). The 'pink forest' may actually be deliberately hidden. If we think about it, one of the common themes throughout this hack is dismemberment/disembowlment. In order to get to this level, along with some of the other secrets, the ROM has to be decompiled - i.e., you have to 'dismember/disembowel' the game just to get to them. That's actually pretty brilliant, if that's the intention.
