I had to remove this to change my negative terminal. Upon removal i seen That silicone seal/boot at the end of the MAF has ripped. I have done extensive research and cannot seem to find that piece itself anywhere. Any tips or info would be helpful.

What was the very first part that you took off called? I’m having issues where mine keeps coming a loose, and I wanted to try to fix it so it stayed in its place, but I don’t know what that piece is actually called to find out how 😭

Similar issue for me on 2001 maxima But it’s b2s2. (P0160) check engine has been coming randomly for 8 months. I clear it and doesn’t come back. For awhile then it comes back. For emissions test, I got it to pass but the O2 category showed not ready. Luckily for me we are allowed 1 category not ready in my area for a 2001 year car. I am still. Going to change out sensor. It’s getting bad mpg at 15mpg or so. It should be about 17-20 mpg I Just found a really good deal on a Denso sensor on EBay.

Hi I have the same car but it is an automatic and I didn't have to undo all you did I unclipped the electrical clips then undid two large hose clips that hold the sensor and then pushed back the tubes on each side and removed it I may have a different engine series as the M A S, doesn't have the 4 bolts like the one in your video but after a air filter and a few squirts of the cleaner it really does make a difference in power and economy my engine is a series 3 v6 but it's a great car. All the best from New Zealand.

Great vid! Thanks, its been 6 yrs, thank god my maf was life warranty!! Hopefully, the bank 1 too lean code goes away. BTW, ... If you order Ignition coils from a one auto.com, only the rear coils will work. The fronts are too fat around the connector. So ordered parts geek front(sold Individually, quan-3, pain in the ass lol) And they were fat as well, but after using goose necks and a lot of effort, I mean a lot of effort, they worked. If you buy coils from the store, they are $60 apiece!!..not kool. Don't forget these cars have 3 cats And don't be like me , handle the misfire codes before they burn out the cats. I spent over 1k on front 2, (actually a great price). And watch the wheel bearings. Mine is a 01 nissan max gxe. Issue date 9/2000.

the hardest part was putting that bitch back on For any poor soul watching this in 2019 and beyond theres a little slot you can push the air bag attachment through after you’ve reattached the whole piece. No need struggling to reattach the airbag sensor before putting the glove box back in place.

You were right. Took about 20 minutes. Only trouble I had was the filters had no markings pointing any direction. Positioned them looking at your video. Ought to work. Other funny thing is there were no filters in there to start with and I've had this car since 2000. OH NO! I've been breathing dirty air. :)

I don't mean to be that guy who goes against the grain but regular WD40 will definitely cause more long term damage. Because it's oil based it will catch and hold every grain that comes in contact with it. And each time you put your key in you'll be forcing the grit down in further. Use graphite on all your key holes... or try that WD40 DRY.
