False prophet.

Amazing how they find her fruad, hide it, then when it gets out they double down in her favor. Coverups, hiding, sneaking, rationalizing......just cant let go of the fraudster white. Same as mormons with smith. Same as jw. Same as all the building worshipers. The church is not a building you attend one day a week, thats a business. The church is the body of christ. Sda are not Christians. Mormons are not Christians. Catholics are not Christians. They all are deceived by their own hearts because they love their sect and their false prophet more than the gospel of jesus the christ.

This presentation is a sad example of how human beings want inspiration to be beyond our ability to choose to reject. God used other humans to help Ellen communicate what she saw in vision. Ellen was shown by the Holy Spirit and by angels what we need now to focus on. Satan is deceiving the whole world into eternal darkness, and Don wants to exalt small human brains as the final filter for truth. No thank you. I will receive the Holy Spirit and how He works with humanity.

Ellen White is your treasure? I thought Christ was every believer's treasure.

Ellen White: When Jesus said “It is finished”, He basically overstated His work on the cross. His death was NOT an atonement for sins, it only bought everybody a little time (probation) to earn some brownie points which they could present to God at the Investigative Judgement, so people could show why they should qualify to get into heaven. This is blasphemy. This is a damnable doctrine.

I think that folks forget that prophets are not perfect. Many prophets in the Bible were corrected by God. They made mistakes.

Heard about 1919 conference but Ellen was a thief and liar and controlled by Satan. Only 1 liar in a vision is all it takes to be a tool of Satan. Here are the three actions of the PREXAD meeting in Glendale, January 28-29, 1980: The first recognized "that Ellen White, in her writing, used various sources more extensively than we had previously believed" (yet "Project Surprise" kept by Tim Poirier, has only about 4% of her published works that is borrowed--not the 70-90% that Rea guestimated). The second vote had to do with church leadership: "That, as soon as possible, a plan be developed for thoroughly informing our CHURCH ADMINISTRATORS concerning the nature and extent of Ellen White's use of sources." and the third vote had the church at large in view: "That immediate study be given to a plan for educating the church in easily grasped steps on the subject of inspiration and Ellen White's use of sources" (PREXAD, p. 2). With this goal in mind, there were articles in MINISTRY and the REVIEW AND HERALD. A student at Southern Missionary College, at the time, I read with interest the articles on Marian Davis' role in gathering Ellen White's materials for THE DESIRE OF AGES. Then there was a fourth vote, which moved to conduct "an in-depth study on the writing of DESIRE OF AGES." That took time, and, after initially tapping Jim Cox to do the work, Fred Veltman volunteered to do the work. Part of the education process would require the results of Veltman's research, which was not completed until 1988.

However, there are 1885, 1886, and 1887 printings of the book as a stand-alone volume with the title on the cover, "The Great Controversy Between Christ and Satan." 50:27 I do not believe it accurate to say that Marian Davis added in 50% more. The Huss Manuscript begins with page 26, thus there were 25 pages that are missing at the beginning. How do we know that Ellen White didn't start with page 26? The quotation from Wylie on page 26 is mid-sentence. Dr. McAdams may be unaware of the Jerome Manuscript, which I have seen but which is not released. The Jerome manuscript accounts corresponds to the latter part of the book. For those curious about this appraisal (and for snippets from the Jerome Manuscript, which I was given permission to include to correlate with the latter part of the chapter), you can consult my study entitled "Notes on Ellen G. White and the Protestant Historians by Donald R. McAdams," which you can find via Google.

Wow. This is gold. I presented Adventist History at our camp meeting last year (2023). Speakers present one day during the week at the workers morning meeting, and I got Wednesday. I spoke on three things. The new books by Gillian Ford, On the Way to Glacier View, Valentine's book, Ostriches and Canaries and your book, Ellen White and the Historians. Seems I remember stumbling on a copy of your paper online some time ago. You know, one of those shared copies that weren't supposed to be released. OPPs. But your book was gold, putting it all into historical context along with the revisions. I remember the one line you mentioned in the paper that explained the whole thing to me, maybe because I resonate with it. Not quoting, you said you were not dealing with her use of sources, but rather, her authority. Bingo. The why of the paper. We as a church was not ready to deal with that then. You were ahead of your time. Thank you for your work. When the real historical Ellen is restored (maybe for the first time), we can safely engage and receive the blessing we have been missing. I do believe God used her to put the wheels on this movement; and maybe there is an under-rated appreciation for her part in this. Maybe it's time for me to do a Karl's Kronicles episode on the book.
