This game series is basically the Mega Man Game Boy games done WRONG. Think about it. Both games were supposed to have ties to the classic games, while being their own experiences. The Game Boy Mega Man games succeed because they have substance, good physics and gameplay mechanics, and more things to do per entry. Sure, the first four Mega Man GB titles ripped bosses from older games, but then, again, actually had new characters, the Mega Man Killers, to make them different from the NES games. Also, they were available to people who didn’t have an NES, while Sonic 4 was available on PC for those who didn’t have a Wii or PlayStation.
