    >Clock will automatically searching at UCT 7,8,910,11 does it mean real life time or time that indicated in clock? there's two options for reception 1) manually set clock, leave it on window or outside wait for that time(clock indication) 2) just push reset, and wait for that in real life time for example if i live in virginia, clock indicates am3:00 than starts auto reception

      Our digital atomic clocks will automatically search at these times based on either the out of box clock time or the manual set time you've entered via the settings menu. Many models do offer the option to perform a manual search for the WWVB signal as well. What does an alarm clock have to do with an average person's life when they have phones.

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology Před 4 dny

      Many people like the convenience of an alarm clock, not only to provide at-a-glance access to time, date, temperature, or other relevant information but also for other reasons like the sleek aesthetic, disconnecting by not having a phone in the bedroom, or, in the case of Soluna pictured here, the ability to wake up with light instead of sound. Of course, if that's not your thing, that's cool, you do you.

    I just bought a WiFi Professional Weather Station with an R3 rain gauge. It doesn't appear to have a solar cell primary power source unlike the Breeze Pro Sensor. How long should a pair of alkaline batteries last in the rain gauge?

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology Před 4 dny

      In most climates, a good set of regular AA alkaline batteries should last over 12 months in our LTV-R3 rain gauge. Mounting it in a convenient location can also help with periodic cleaning for debris or insects.

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology Před 7 dny

      Hey Tony, we're sorry for any trouble. Inflated temperature or humidity values can often be resolved by placing the outdoor sensor in a better location. For more info on this, check out our video here: bit.ly/inaccurate_temp_readings. Regarding your forecast icons (assuming this is not a Wi-Fi weather station), they will take some time to acclimate to your location before they start to give you more accurate weather predictions. Our additional video here: bit.ly/forecast_vid covers this more in depth. Of course, if you still have questions or believe your system is not working properly, please message our support staff here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport, or alternatively, send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook page for some personalized assistance.

    C85135 vs C83117 The C85135 (used in this video) has an AUX port and uses AA batteries; which provide the ability to use basic clock functions. The C83117 does not have an AUX port and uses a CR2032 battery for backup purposes only. Beyond this, the two versions will function the same way.

The outside (white plastic box) sensor, that reads the outside conditions did get very slight wet INSIDE, under the motherboard was a 1/4" dot of water I blotted the water off. Dry inside...so did that spot of water wreck the sensor? Do I just need a new ourdoor sensor ?

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology Před 23 dny

      We're sorry for the sensor trouble. First, forecast icons may not necessarily show current outdoor conditions as the station uses barometric pressure to predict future weather changes for your area. We have a different video here: bit.ly/forecast_vid that discusses how these work. As for your outdoor sensor, ideally, it should be mounted in a location that is not directly affected by weather elements (rain, snow, sun, etc.), as they can cause issues. To test the sensor, try our side-by-side test explained in our other video here: bit.ly/inaccurate_temp_readings -- if the values are outside of acceptable ranges after this test or if you have further questions, please message our support staff directly here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport, or send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook page. We are here to help in any way we can and apologies for any inconvenience.

  • @Peppermint1
    @Peppermint1 Před 25 dny

    These units can only predict strong weather systems - strong heavy rain, strong storms. Only strong systems will cause a drop in the atmospheric pressure. A normal rain, snow, cloudy weather will not change the atmospheric pressure so these units will not indicate bad weather. Also, strong winds will cause the atmospheric pressure to fluctuate, again these units will not be helpful for this scenario. In other words, other than for strong weather systems, these units are simply an exterior thermometer.

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology Před 25 dny

      This is often true for areas at higher elevation, which we reference in our other video here: bit.ly/forecast_vid -- If you find the station's icons not changing accurately enough for your location, we suggest looking into our Wi-Fi Weather Station lineup, which use internet forecast data from AccuWeather. High and Low Temperature and Humidity alerts will need to be manually set and activated; instructions for this can be found on pages 10-11 of our 327-1414W manual here: bit.ly/327-1414w_manual -- Trend arrows, on the other hand, will trigger when the correct conditions are met. For instance, they will update every 15 minutes, comparing data over the past hour. If the temperature has changed by 2°F/1°C or more or humidity by 3%RH or more, an arrow will display that change's direction. If you need further assistance, please message our support staff directly here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport. Or alternatively, send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook page. Our sensor has developed an erroneous low temperature reading since this winter. It reads 13-14°F low when it is raining. I was surprised to see a reading of 58°F outside during a record breaking heatwave last week. It was raining and the temperature reading dropped from 97F to 58°F in a matter of an hour or less, when a thunderstorm dumped a big downpour. It used to be accurate in the rain. I guess some seal failed and water is getting inside the sensor.

      Though our systems can all be used as standalone devices (without Wi-Fi), we understand that the true benefit of these connected models is their ability to send and receive data from cloud services. For many reasons, we require a La Crosse View account login, as it ensures those connecting are actual humans, allows us to know which user owns what device for better support if ever needed, and gives you the ability to securely set your location for the most accurate personal forecast updates from AccuWeather. We have zero interest in selling your information and are sorry if you believe this to be true. For further assistance, please message our support staff directly here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport. Moving the station away from other electronics and near a window with the front or back of it facing Fort Collins, CO can help it receive the WWVB Atomic Time Signal. Depending on your location, it is not abnormal for the signal to take multiple days to be received or go in and out over time. I really like the BBBB2684 La Crosse Technology Automic Clock we have. Have had it for many years. Recently we had someone do some landscaping and the sensor is now not where it was (it is missing). Sounds ridiculous, but it is what it is. Weird thing, I am still getting temperature readings. It has become a challenge to try and find sensor. Originally it was outside of our front door on the side of the house in the shade. I have looked all over the ground around where it was originally. Now the interesting part, I have seen high temperature readings of over 120 degrees which is unusual because the temperature in Kansas may feel that hot, but never gets to that actual temperature where we live. So I am now trying to figure out a location where those temperatures might exist. Using a laser temperature gun I have found a place that gets t to that temperature. Turns out that is the side of the house at a specific time of day. But, no sensor is located there. So, is there some sort of sensor finding button? Or, do I need to just get another sensor? If I get another sensor, will I be able to connect the new sensor and override the old sensor that is evidently somewhere in our front yard?

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology Před měsícem

      We're sorry for the delayed response and confusion regarding your outdoor sensor. It is possible your display is picking up a neighboring sensor (not mounted in a great location) or somehow still the original that got moved. Unfortunately, there is no "sensor finder button"; however, a replacement sensor can be used to override the one the clock is picking up. Compatible replacements can be found here: www.lacrossetechnology.com/products/bbb82684#parts Upon getting the new sensor, please follow the steps in this video, but also press the small TX button on the sensor (located above the batteries) after the clock is powered back on. This will force a transmission and should connect the new sensor immediately.

    How far back are records (Hi/lo temp, humidity, wind speed) retained for? Are these only for the past year or for as long as the monitor is powered on / has a battery in it? Meaning if nothing happened to the monitor, and the record high temp ever recorded was 6 years ago, would this record temp reading and date be retained? Additional question is are these record high/low readings stored/visible at all from the La Crosse View app? Or only on the monitor itself?

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology Před měsícem

      Great questions! The V61 station has varying levels of history based on the data point. Temp and humidity highs and lows are all-time records (since the display was powered on or last reset). Wind speed records include top speeds for the past 24 hours, 7 days, 1 month, and 1 year. And your rainfall history offers totals for the past 1-hour, 24 hours, 7 days, 1 month, 1 year, and total since the station was power on or last reset. For more details regarding the station's data history and functions, check out the full manual here: bit.ly/v61_092921 The La Crosse View app will give you access to current data, daily highs and lows, graphs and charts where you can view up to 24 hours of data for free (30-days with a paid subscription), and data exports via XML files (24 hours for free and up to 365 days with a paid subscription). This is true for all of your connected devices, indoor displays, outdoor sensors, and add-on sensors for monitoring other areas of your home. The app also lets you set an unlimited number of alert (sent free via push notifications) for nearly any data point measured. Additional alerting functions are coming soon as well. @@lacrossetechnology thanks! a couple of additional questions. is the battery in the monitor intended to retain weather data in the event the monitor is unplugged temporarily? Meaning as long as the monitor has a battery in it (and batttery has a charge), if you unplug the unit, while the display won't work, will all the weather sensor data captured by the unit prior to it being unplugged (such as all time highs and lows) be retained and display again once the monitor is plugged in? Or would you lose all weather sensor data and all record highs and lows once the monitor is unplugged even if it has a battery in it? Also, if the monitor is unplugged, when you plug it back in will it just power up and work according to previous configuration? Or do you need to re-configure the entire system and re-pair to wifi each time you unplug the unit? Thank you!

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology Před měsícem

      @@rhangartner The coin cell battery will only retain your main menu settings and Wi-Fi configuration (these will refresh automatically once power is restored). Unfortunately, all sensor history on the station will be lost upon losing AC power. Though sensor data will not be tracked during a power outage, previous history will be maintained via the La Crosse View app, assuming the station is regularly connected to Wi-Fi.

    • @rhangartner
      @rhangartner Před měsícem

      @@lacrossetechnology Thanks for the additional information. I'm assuming the V41 and V42 wifi pro stations are the same in this regard, meaning if they lose power, any all time high/low records in the console would be wiped out? If so that's unfortunate. La Crosse should really look into incorporating a micro sd card slot or some internal memory in their future consoles to retain the all time high/low records in the event of a power outage / or if you need to relocate the console to a different location. It wouldn't need to retain ALL sensor data, just the all time high/low records and date/timestamp. That wouldn't require much storage space at all. Honestly these stations would be perfect for me if not for that one flaw.

    I Have a C85845v6 and it automatically connected to the dual Wi-Fi home network, and by the looks of the icon it is connected to the wireless outdoor sensor. The problem is that the sensor is currently indoors until I connected it outside, but why is the unit displaying the "outdoor" temperature not the expected sensor readings? Is the unit using my internet to access a remote weather data?

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology Před měsícem

      Our apologies for the confusion. First, our C85845 models are not Wi-Fi compatible, so no Internet or remote weather data will be available. For details about how the forecast works on these devices, check out our other video here: bit.ly/forecast_vid --- Regarding your outdoor sensor readings, it sounds like the display may have picked up a neighboring sensor that is already outside. To connect your sensor specifically, we recommend a basic restart covered here: bit.ly/LaxTech_BasicRestart -- and in addition to the steps in that video, your sensor has a small TX button located above the batteries; press this after you have the power restored to both the sensor and display. This should force a transmission and connect your sensor almost instantly. Sorry again for any trouble.
