Carlos Feller teaches flute, music theory, aural skills, and fine arts classes at Ouachita Baptist University. He holds a doctorate in flute performance from Florida State University where he studied under Swiss flutist and pedagogue Eva Amsler. Feller was a prizewinner in competitions such as the William T. Gower Concerto Competition at USM, regional editions of the Music Teachers National Associations, the Flute Society of Kentucky Young Artist Competition, and in 2011 was one of the performers at the Young Artist Competition promoted by the National Flute Association. He serves as Public Relations chair of the Oklahoma Flute Society, and coordinator judge for the Newly Published Music Competition for the National Flute Association.

Very nice. Too often this, and other Handel sonatas, are played too fast and with too much ornamentation so that the melody is lost, but this is beautifully restrained and lets the flute sing.
had to play measure 1-9 for all city. couldn't do it as fast though.

Hi, Alisha. The tricky part is the fast double tonguing. I would use dgdg instead of tktk, keeping your embouchure relaxed and air in your cheeks! Happy fluting!

@@oscargarcia9707 Here it goes: 1. Practice SLOWLY and make sure all notes and rhythms are correct before trying it at faster tempo. 2. More Air. Keep your jaw low and throat relaxed, and maintain a smooth air flow throughout the phrase. 3. Finding a good private flute instructor is key to steady progress. It will keep you accountable and help you catch any bad habits early on. (Search for my name on Playwithapro.com and schedule a free trial lesson).
