I believe in the importance of creating awareness and showing support for the many creative individuals and organisations who are fighting to create and envision a future where Arts and culture remain important and relevant in our society.
With this project, I want to give artists a louder voice and a platform for them to express themselves as individuals and to share their inspiring stories and perspectives. The arts have contributed a significant amount to the evolution of humanity and society, and we should not forget the individuals who have devoted their lives to the arts; nor should we disregard the artists of today. I also hope to indirectly contribute to educating the younger generations of the significance of the Arts. The Arts have been somewhat neglected within the educational system. I believe all forms of art are a perfect foundation from which to build a greater understanding of each other and an understanding of the value of all forms of art in society.

Gaja Vittoria Pellizzari: Singing Lied is telling stories, adding color to each word creates magic.
Gaja Vittoria is a versatile vocalist whose repertoire extends from the Baroque period to contemporary music, encompassing both mezzo-soprano and soprano roles, making her a true Zwischenfach artist.
Originally from Udine, Italy, Gaja began her musical journey as a violinist before shifting her focus to vocal performance. She holds a Master’s degree in Opera from the Conservatorio J. Tomadini in Udine, where she studied under the esteemed soprano Annamaria Dell’Oste and pianist Ferdinando Mussutto. Her education has been further enriched by her current pursuit of a Master’s degree in "Lied & Oratorium" at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW). At MDW, she has the privilege of honing her craft under the guidance of renowned soprano KS Krassimira Stoyanova and accomplished pianist Justus Zeyen.
Gaja's passion for both operatic and art song (Lied) repertoire is evident in her performances. She has delivered themed recitals, collaborating with pianist Alessandro Del Gobbo, that explore diverse and intriguing subjects. I like your videos also because otherwise I would not know too much about Africa and the artists in different countries... The dedication of these two people is so amazing! Many things occured to my mind about this interview. One was, when they mentioned the dance students receive also free drinking water in school (if I understood it correctly). It gives a different dimension to the whole thing. Everyone knows that water can be a problem in many african countries but we tend not to think about how precious water there really is. In Europe, the students biggest problem is, in which store they need to buy their dancer clothes. :)

I understand that she was sad when her mentor told her to change her personality... I guess that mentor had just superficial knowledge about the human psyche. I heard this "advice" a lot, too, but with the years I realized it is totally silly. You just need to develop certain other characteristics around your personality to protect yourself, but you don´t need to lose your vulnerability or anything else, because it means you loose your human traits. How the world should be when everyone who had deeper feelings and emotions would lose their personality?
I realize over and over again that your interviews are not only about showing the artists to the world, but you are also a kind of psychologist to them, because many of them - or maybe all of them - need someone to talk to, about their artworks, about their struggling and so on. Many artists seem to be lonely and not understood by "normal" people. I think your attention to these artists is so precious!

Without question "Johns Boys Male Chorus" is a joyous experience in music.The best voices anywhere. I believe they will achieve great things. However this is the time and the place to acknowledge Aled Phillips for his extraordinary ability to arrange music and conduct those voices in song. I would like to suggest, from Canada, that not only does Aled's choir have an amazing 'voice' but what moved so many listeners was seeing the look of absolute joy on their faces as they sang. The joy and emotion that they expressed touched me deeply. I could feel how much they love the music, how much they love their fellow singers and how much they love their conductor, Aled... who clearly loves them back. I very much hope that John's Boys DOES come to Canada!

Thank you, Petra and Oscar, for this most interesting conversation. (Shame on me, I only see this now). I think art education and emotional intelligence complement each other. They are an enrichment for individual development. And yes, starting art education in childhood lays a strong foundation for creative expression and development of skills that can be beneficial throughout one’s professional life. Unfortunately that was/is not often the case. (Fortunately, I was introduced to music from an early age on and I am sure it contributed to who I am now). Working in a business school I often feel emotional intelligence is somehow lacking, but it’s never too late. My next project, bringing more art into the school got the support of my new team leader. It may be a slow process, as there can be resistance to integrating arts in more traditional academic settings. But things don’t have to be easy all the time and this one is certainly worthwhile.
