these videos are golden! thank you!
This is very good in sight I love analog mixers check out the video roland Amx-600 and AX 2400 rare Japanese only released. czcams.com/video/bLrIFl0gCFA/video.html
Qué fenómeno este tipo, qué bien que explica! me gustaría ver más videos como este
Obviously he's done it many times with great knowledge and experience. I am SO glad Geoff has popped up into the public eye again, as his past work speaks volumes. Bowie, Queen, Nick Drake, Stones, Stooges, Nico, Doors, etc etc incredible-sounding records. When I first met him, only a few people were into these things, now it's finally a secret that's gotten out.
Legend
He really loves his transformers
Definitely watch in 1.5x speed
this is porn for me! it's so expensive to purchase quality audio gear, I'm considering building my own, or at least modifying cheap gear to enhance its capabilities.
This is holy grail 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Radio metal is metal they screen I.F coils in a transistor radio, cheap way screening your signal transformers
Great and interesting inview Geoff
Priceless!
I came to see why this man is sniffing markers and learned something about transformers.
legend
this guy is awesome. more please
God Bless you 🙏🏻, Thanks so much! New suscriber
Fantastic
Thank you
I hope one day we will see more episodes of this fantastic serie
Me too
I've noticed that many tube circuts these days are low voltage powered instead of using high voltage transformers
Then the tubes are just for show, even battery powers radio tubes need 90-100V, the anode needs high voltage for amplification to occur.
underpowering a tube can in some cases provide a less colored sound.
It's there a book with more information like this?
small signal audio design by Douglas is pretty accessible
This is a master class!
Great series!
lovely person
this video is four years old, and no-one has bothered to correct the spelling mistake in the title!?
there's no mitsakes.
I don't think it's worth correcting.
A transformer ratio of 200:10K gives a lot more gain than 5 or 6 dB! In fact the ratio is ca. 1:7, this means 17 dB gain. (Unloaded)
This guy is great!
Hi Geoff, can we please have some more videos. I've finally found someone who doesn't speak nonsense!
this is epic! where else do you get this kind of priceless information?? And Geoff loves transformers so i love Geoff!
i know Im randomly asking but does anybody know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Kai Simon instablaster ;)
@Javier Issac thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Javier Issac it worked and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy! Thank you so much, you saved my account!
@Kai Simon Happy to help :D
Chestnuts roasting, on an openfire, Geoff Frost nipping at your toes
Great video Geoff, some of my favourite records by John Martyn and Nick Drake were recorded on your consoles :-) Few questions though, just wondering why none of those modules would need re-capping? I have been told by many gear of that age would require re-capping. I have a old Bozak disco mixer from 1976 which has Frako caps and been told I should re-cap it before I replace the pots as the caps could leak DC and slowly destroy the new potentiometers.
these videos are great. I just wish they were numbered within the tittle so i could find them in order
These videos are really helping with my course, again thanks! :)
Great video, Thanks!
great lesson
Thanks for uploading these videos and please make some more!
Geoff is cool.
Quit chucking your shit to ground!
ehe "we only had three tracks" *salutes* <☺ Mr Frost.
The channels I have (Elektra Studio 1967) sound great, very unique. Looking forward to this new module!
It's VERY likely (almost certain) that this is the desk used on Fleetwood Mac's incredible "Then Play On" which featured "Oh Well" and "Rattlesnake Shake". Some great potential there, good luck with restoration. Also looking forward to the new modules... will be quite popular, I think!

NIce work, Geoff. Looking forward to watching these :-)
